We just held a bridal shower here for our friend and could not be more thrilled with our experience. The owners were incredibly welcoming and were a dream to work with for reservation and setup. They were kind enough to open up just for our event and were even there to serve wine to our party. The wine is excellent and crowd-​pleasing. Never once did we feel out of place — in fact, it has a very homey feel. I highly recommend the wine, venue, and owners! This place was perfect!

This is the PERFECT place for a bridal shower. I hosted a Bridal Shower here and it was amazing! Nice atmosphere and so many cute wine decorations. The owners were so helpful with everything. They even let us use their crock pot when one of our cords was left at home. They offered us ziplock baggies to use so everyone could take home some of the leftover food. They even found boxes for us to put our extra 2 liters in to carry more easily. The wine was amazing, we didn’t order any food– though now I wish we would have (we brought our own). The pomegranate wine was a big hit at our party. I would definitely recommend this place for any party. My friends and I plan on coming back to try more of their wines and play games they have available.

We hosted a private event at Mio Vino recently and it was wonderful! The staff was so kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to provide us with everything that we needed and made everyone feel very welcome. They we’re amazing. And everyone LOVED the wine!
This place is an absolute gem! A diamond in the rough! They definitely earned some new clientele. We’ll all be back!

Came here for a surprise party for my daughter, and it was my hubby’s and my first time here. First, I think as another reviewer stated, it is unpretentious and a cozy place to hang out. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, nice people. The décor is even homey and comfortable, yet clean and well kept. You’re allowed to bring in whatever food you want. My daughter’s boyfriend brought in food platters and set up a large table in the back part of the main area with balloons and table cloth ahead of time. They were very accommodating. There is a serve yourself water station which is nice. The bathroom was clean and even had a basket of free gum and mints! We ordered tasting samples of three different wines. Then we ordered a bottle of the cabernet that we liked for a very reasonable $ 12 a bottle. No pressure to hurry. A great place to hang with friends and enjoy a locally made bottle of wine. Plenty of parking on the street and across by the railroad tracks too!

Found this place by accident and almost decided to go somewhere else. Glad I didn’t. While the wine making is work in progress: whites are definitely on the right track… But that’s not the only reason you come to this place. You come here because it uplifts you, you are around people who enjoy wine and want to relax and enjoy without pretensions. You come here because it makes you appreciate how difficult it is to make wine. It will be a matter of time when we will be tasting a sublime wine. In the meantime, I cheer and support Tim for his courage and for giving us in Cincinnati the precious gift of a place where you can feel the love for wine. Come join, relax and feel humbled by this project. You may get more in return. Cheers.

This place is awesome to just relax. Prices are great and usually they have live music on the weekend’s. Wine is awesome as well, I do recommend that you get a bottle instead of a glass as they can reseal it if you don’t drink it all! Five stars for sure :)!

Mio Vino where have you been all my life!!!
I have officially found my new favorite vino place in town. The location is small and unpretentious with a small outside seating area, nothing to write home about. This is not why you go to Mio Vino though, you go here for THE BEST wine deal around.
First things first, the service. The staff was great, we were acknowledged as soon as we walked in and asked if we had been there before. When we said «no» they offered to help if we had questions without being overwhelming. We brought some food with us (we called to ask if we could and they said yes) and the owner was kind enough to bring us some plates & napkins to eat our little spread without us even asking. Nice attentive touch. He chatted with us for a few minutes and then he let us get back to our night.
Now about the wines. I’ll be honest, when I saw their wine list online (quite extensive) I automatically assumed that a little wine shop in Cincy couldn’t possibly make good wine and that if it was at least «drinkable» I would consider myself a happy camper. Well was I in for a surprise! We sampled 4 of their 6 reds and I have to say they we all good wines well worth drinking! We ended up buying 3 bottles to bring home with us. And the best part? All pours are $ 6, all bottles are $ 12. Yes, you read that right, a bottle is $ 12 and there is NO corkage fee. How’s that for a deal? You could easily have a nice happy hour with a friend for $ 12!!!
What about the Atmosphere you ask? Totally laid back, each doing their own. They often have live music on Fridays starting at 7 PM. There is no cover charge for this.
All in all, a great vino place. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this before! If you haven’t been to mio vino, don’t wait any more. Stop by and get yourself THE best wine deal in town!

Apparently this place has been around for 2 years but we just stumbled upon it recently. It’s owned and run by a husband and wife who make all the wine in house. The grapes are ordered elsewhere and then the wine is made there. A glass of wine is $ 6 and a bottle is $ 12. Don’t be fooled by the price the wines are really good and are a GREAT deal for the price. Definitely check this place out!
Tip — bring food with you, they are really accommodating and don’t seem to care (people brought their own dinner there). You can have dogs on the back patio. There is live music on most but not all Fridays.
Also — for $ 300 you can have them make you your own batch of wine (30 bottles).

I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone. I think what the fk am I about to go into. The area is definitely hicksville and the parking was concerning. I get inside and it’s rough. But then they serve Me.
I decide to try the sampler, with my friend. Every wine is incredible. I mean I’m picky. Then I try my friends wine. They freaken make it at that place to boot! A guy with a dream who loved wine decided to do this and it’s amazing. He travels the world to find the right taste of grape to mix. I’m thinking this is some of the best wine I’ve ever had. Every single wine I taste is exquisite. I’m not kidding twilight zone good. He doesn’t want to promote to much because it would ruin the fun of it. Go and enjoy and have a designated driver.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a couple of months and been wanting to go. I was in the area and dropped by to check it out (Friday Happy Hour).
Mio Vino has a cozy feel to the place. I really liked the simplicity of the wine bar and décor (spacious and not cluttered). There are lounge chairs in the corner, patio (in the back with a fire pit), a bar, and plenty seating/​tables. Enough room to enjoy your favorite wine.
I sat at the bar and the owner Tim and his wife were very kind and helpful (they have me sample their popular wines which was very generous).
Tim makes the wine at this facility. All the wines are fermented on site and they buy grapes from only the finest vineyards. I was shocked with the selections of wine. I thought they would only sell your basics Cabernet or Pinot Grigio. No… they have over 10+ products to sample and purchase.

I ended up buying a bottle of the Australian Shiraz and Pomegranate Zinfandel. All their bottles are $ 12.00 and a glass is $ 6.00. They have small food menu to go with the wines– cheese plates, Bread with dipping, hummus with pita chips, sample platter, brie with jalapeño jelly, and dessert of the day if you get hungry.
Mio VIno also has live bands on the weekends, you can schedule to make your own wine and even book a private event at their facility.
What a great experience! Felt very welcomed and loved their delicious wines! They’ve only been open for a year ½ and I can tell they have a great amount of clientele.
I will definately be back. I can’t wait to tell my girlfriends about this place! This could be the perfect girls night out and it’s close to my home too! Bonus!

I really enjoyed my recent trip to Mio Vino. The people working behind the bar were very friendly, the space had a relaxed vibe, and the prices were very reasonable for what you got. I will say though-​the wines are SWEET! If you are into sweet wines, this is your spot. If you prefer greater variety in flavor notes, you might just want to stop by for a quick dessert glass.
My husband and I split the cheese plate-​which featured more of a grocery store selection than that of an artisanal cheese shop, with cheddar cheese, gouda, and pepper jack (that I can recall). Still, it was filling and tasty.
I can’t believe that you can get a bottle for $ 12 and drink it in the store. I think this is a great deal, as the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. I know people are always psyched to visit a new bar or restaurant in OTR, but sometimes you need to get off the beaten path to discover a fun new place. This is that place! Also, finding parking was very easy.

Great variety of wines and an overall fantastic atmosphere. The entire staff is super friendly and Tim will go out of his way to show you around and make you feel at home. Plus they offer some great live music!
I assisted with a wedding at Mio Vino and it was beautifully done. And now, one of my best friends is having her wedding there at the end of January and I cannot wait! Not only to see my friend get married but I know Tim and crew will go above and beyond to make it a very special day.

There was some turnover and different person managing so I don’t go there anymore. You’ll have to make your own decision on this place. It used to be hopping but I’ve been by a few times and they were closed early. I’m sure Tim has kept the quality of wine the same.

Stopped in last night for the first time and will definitely be back! We sampled a few kinds of wine and liked all of them but settled on a bottle to drink there and a few to bring home. Several of the wine purchases contribute to charities which is an added bonus. We had the appetizer sampler which was a great spread of crackers, cheeses, bread, etc. Nice, casual atmosphere and friendly staff.

WOW! What an amazing place! We hosted a private party (bridal shower) at Mio Vino and the say that the experience was great is a complete understatement! Tim and his staff go above and beyond to give this place a friendly, warm feeling that just makes people want to keep coming back!
The wine is delicious, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is perfect. They have a cozy outdoor patio which is great for summer.

We had a great time at Mio Vino on a casual Thursday night. It was a cold, slow night, so we got to sample several wines and talk with the owner about their history. They are local Cincinnatians with a passion for wine making. The space is great, and the wine is delicious and affordable. We look forward to many return visits. They do private parties, and live music and art events. Don’t wait for the weather to turn warm. Get to Mio Vino, ASAP!

Love this place! The atmosphere is quaint, staff are friendly, and their wines are really good and affordable. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to try new wines at a cute little place like this.

Last night my wife and I decided to stop in here and try some of the wines. We sampled 9 of the wines, then settled on our favorite. All the wines were above average, with one standing above the rest. We both loved the black cherry wine but I forget the actual name. Our waitress was very nice and helpful as we went through our tasting.
The owner came over and asked if we wanted a tour. He took us in the back and showed us where he makes the wine. We were surprised all wines were made in the venue. It was extremely clean and organized. He the told us that we could come in and make wine. We are considering doing that in the future.
I will definitely return to this spot. This is a great place to go after a dinner in one of the Kenwood restaurants.
