Awful experience… Be careful of the lease. No break agreement and the extra fees hidden in their «first billing.» Poor up keep and over priced!

DO MAKE THIS MISTAKE!!!
I lived here for 2 years and it was, without a doubt the worst place I have ever had the misfortune of residing in!
Aside from the racket they have set up with the billing (forced cable, water, «community lighting» and trash… which consists of one undersized dumpster on the other side of the complex) and the escalating cost of rent by 15% everytime you re-​sign a lease, the worst part is the upkeep/​cleanliness or lack thereof.
Shortly after moving in, there was the stench of a dead animal that progressively worsened. It eminated through the entire unit. We called about it 3 times and was told it was just due to paint… When they finally sent a maintenance worker 2 weeks later, they found the remains of a dead squirrel in the attic and oddly not covered in any paint. The wildlife infestations were a common theme for the duration of our stay at Mcauly. The thundering of squirrels in the attic were eventually replaced by a (large and very reproductive) family of raccoons that found permanent residence in the living room wall, above and around our fireplace. They would often dig at the wall, fight, bark and frequently have litters. The digging got to the point where my family wasn’t confortable being there while I wasn’t present for fear of a wildlife incursion into our unit. Aside from the annoyance, raccoons also present a serious health hazard. Their stool carries worms and bacteria that are an inhalation hazard. After the raccoons established residence I had an MRI done due to chest pain and breathing issues which revealed a fungal infection in my lungs. This was the deciding factor for our family to relocate…

PLEASE DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!
Front desk people and the manager are always changing, probably because when the employees realize what kind of company they are working for they quit their jobs.
Well, there is a new manager now and she is so rude, she has no customer service at all.
There is an exercise room for the tenants but it is awfull. Very poor in workout machines and it’s always dirty, they clean «once» every «two weeks».
The garbage dumpster is so full sometimes that people just leave the trash next to it, and the area around is always dirty.
They over-​charge the bills, you have to pay everything to them (like cable, internet, electricity, water, trash)… The Internet never works at night and, even if you want to get your own Internet and cable you will still need to pay their monthly charges for that.
You can hear your neighbor downstairs, upstairs and next door even when they are just walking… You know when they are in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, when they turn on the shower, flush the toilet… It’s ridiculous how thin the walls are!
They will never change the filter in your air conditioner (I’ve made several requests and I’m still waiting). The water from the sink leaks to the dishwasher and they said «it’s normal», they recommended me to hit the start and cancel button on the dish washer to make the dirty water from your sink drain out because if you do not do it on the daily bases it will get full and it will start to leak on your kitchen floor.
If your car is not brand new, of if it has a little damage on the bumpers, some scratch on the paint, etc… It’s considered an «inoperable vehicle» and they will tow it away.
I’m a current resident and I can’t wait the day I will be able to leave this nightmare! Oh yeah, I’m stuck in here because once you sign the lease, even if you give the 60 days notice they require, you will have to pay all the months left plus some «ridiculous» administrative fees.
I can stay writing more and more bad experience I have from this place, but I’m tired to write. :-)
