My new favorite stop for chicken. I guess I’ve been missing out all these years. Way better than KFC. For the price, it’s the best fried chicken out there(no disrespect to The Eagle, which is the best).

I am a huge fan of Lee’s Famous Recipe, especially on Wednesday nights, when they have(and have had for as long as I can remember) a great reduced price deal(4.99 as I type this) on a three piece chicken meal with two sides and a biscuit The fried chicken here is in my opinion much tastier than KFC’s. It isn’t The Eagle, no, but they aren’t trying to be :-) That said, I vastly prefer the oven roasted chicken over the fried, although since it tends to be a bit oily I do not know if it is any healthier — just that it is tasty as all get out The biscuits here are very underrated, and I think they could do good business selling breakfast biscuits in the morning using these as the base. I am always temped to order an extra I’ll steer you away from the Mac and Cheese, as it is almost always fairly mushy and tasteless, and instead direct you to the green beans, corn on the cob, and especially the breaded potato wedges(known elsewhere as Jojos, or so I hear). The green beans do need a little salt and pepper to bring out their full flavor, and the corn can be hit or miss depending on how long it has been sitting, but the wedges are consistently great. Service is fast, polite, and efficient. Expect a wait on Wednesday evenings due to the popularity of the special, and on the same basis, don’t be surprised if they run out of a few things. Quick snack stop for some spicy chicken strips. 3 pieces for chicken only(not meal) $ 5. Pricey for sure. Too pricey perhaps. Now prior to even receiving our order the gentleman in the back says the strips are small so he threw in a few extra. 5 for $ 5. Ok! More reasonable. While we appreciate the gesture and were overall pleased with the wings… the base price point isn’t appropriate. Otherwise would be 4 star fried chicken spot. Lots of dipping sauces to choose from. Bonsai was a sweet and sour variety. Chicken ordered spicy was a mild spice but noticeable. Won’t thrill any spice junkies but enough for those who opt for mild salsa.

Waaaay better than KFC. This location is the best in my opinion. Always hot and fresh. Just don’t go between 7−9pm durning the week if you don’t want to wait. They usually have a pretty big dinner rush but so worth the wait.

For fast food, this place is great. MUCH better than any other fast food youll find. Real chicken meat, good sides, and cheap!

Omg, the chicken fingers are on steroids. So huge. You definitely get what you pay for. I really like the breading and the sides. I got the potato wedges and mac and cheese. Very delicious. My sauce, ranch dressing. The staff was extra friendly, fast and accommodating. Inside was clean and overall a great experience.
