History

Established in 2000.

Marsheilla has been in the food business for years, learning about and loving food. She and husband Rob, opened Intimate Gatherings, beginning with catering, now their resaurant is serving 4 days a week.

Established in Northside Historic District, they have been part of that community for over 25 years.

They have volunteered with Scouts, Cleanups, United Way, Cain, God’s Gift to Seniors, Helping Hands, Compassion Cincinnati and give away over 1,000 free meals each year.

A small business that impacts the neighborhood with their ministry.

Rob is equipping the restaurant in going green, uing a corn boil, a renewable energy source, he heats the building and water during the cold season. Continuing efforts are made to upgrade the over 100 year building without losing it’s history.

Business Owner

Marsheilla inspired by her relatives cooking, shares her taste, though she cooks with olive oil instead of lard. From a large family Intimate Gatherings is just not a company name to her, but a way of life. She will not serve anything unless it is good enough for her own family. Always chosing fresh whenever possible she enjoys her customers/​clients when they enjoy her food.

From mouthwatering Babyback Ribs, Meatloaf, Chicken-​n-​Dumpling, Swiss Steak, City Chicken, Bean Soup with Cornbread everyday is different, serving old time favorites puts a smile on her face. A believer that vegetables should be offered, but desserts and coffee are great. Customers feeling comfortable is what being an owner, with husband Rob, are in business for.
