This place mostly is a hit or miss. And the hits still aren’t much to speak of. It’s somewhat decent if you go in on, say, a Friday or Saturday but if your wanting some –already low quality food– well. During the week is the worst time. The food is cold once you get it to your table, some of their meat looks like a science experiment, very off putting, and I won’t even get started on the dessert. The staff is also very awkward and looks miserable. If you don’t want indigestion and diharrea the next morning I wouldn’t suggest this place. There are definitely better Americanized Chinese buffets in the area. China house buffet on st route 28 is much much better on any given day.

My husband and I have eaten here a few times. For being a Chinese buffet, they’re pretty decent. Nothing too overly exceptional, but good. Their sushi is ok. Not the best, but not the worst I’ve ever had. The crab rangoons are very good though. I always eat from the hibachi because I can make what I want. Tonight was no different, except the hibachi chef left me waiting for about 6 minutes. He saw me standing there, but he just kept restocking the containers. That was aggravating. Overall it was an ok meal.

This is my first time here. As far as your average Chinese buffets go I thought it was a little better than your average one. They had a really nice selection of different foods. The seafood and sushi was a lot better that most buffet I have been to. No crab but that’s ok. The dessert bar was really nice.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. All the chicken dishes are god awful and I couldn’t find a single decent thing to eat in the whole buffet. Food is below average and all tastes cheap. I wouldn’t give this food to a dog its so bad, please dont go, dont even consider this place an option if you want Chinese.

We stopped in expecting a true hibachi grill. Nothing of the sort. Why it’s in their name, I’m not sure. It was only a buffet. We were poorly greeted on a very slow night. There was also a bad stench as soon as we walked in. We ended up eating but we both got food poisoning and having a house with only one full sized bathroom does not work well when both of us are sick. We will never go back.

If your into the all you can eat low quality food this is the place for you. Food is lackluster. Spend your $ 10.99 per person elsewhere IMO.

I am usually a huge fan of this place, but I was not thrilled when I stopped by for dinner this weekend. Their food did not seem as fresh as usual. They have a large variety of items available from the traditional options to sushi and hibachi. I’m going to chalk this visit up to a bad night, so I will definitely come back another time.

I drive from Northern KY to go to this place. Its one of the best Chinese buffets around. Its not uncommon to have a small wait for a table because it’s so busy. Its worth it though. The hibachi grill is great, with all the usual fixins. There’s a lot of sushi too, if that’s your thing. My favorite is the sweet and mustardy gem called«boom boom chicken». Mmm.

Husband took me there for valentine day and it was wonderful! They had Rock Crab claws and crab legs and the staff was great and the price of $ 14.99 was very reasonable for all the great choices they had. Hope they do a mother day buffet like that, I will be there.

This may have been the worst restaurant I have ever been to!!! I cannot ever remember a time when I almost gagged eating something. It’s an insult to call this hibachi!

I’ve lived and traveled in many countries, but I dread Cincinnati because of the lack of breadth of food tastes. In many of the Chinese buffets, for example, most of their food tastes the same from dish to dish. I don’t understand why there are so many negative or neutral reviews for this place, but I did notice many were older reviews. My first visit was in the summer of 2014, and it has become my family’s favorite Chinese buffet ever since. I have lived in Japan, so I’m not even going to consider sushi from a $ 10 buffet in my rating. They put fake crab in most of their sushi, so I don’t even bother to touch that stuff. If you want a tolerable sushi buffet, it’s going to cost $ 30 — 40. Cincinnati used to have one, but it’s been closed for quite a while. Some of the items on the buffet line are terrible in my opinion, too. They destroy the salmon with that red sauce, for example. However, so many of the items do have a wide diversity of tastes, and I really do like a majority of the items. I like several of the chicken dishes, a pork dish, the fish dishes, and the multiple vegetable dishes. People who don’t like Asian foods have plenty of American choices, too. I like the potato wedges, for example. They have too many desserts to choose from, too, including a choice of ice creams, fruits, and the regular assortment of junk desserts. There’s lots of stuff that I didn’t even mention, that I’m sure others like but I just don’t have enough space to eat.

Good selection. Quality good for buffet. Lots of seafood and fish choices. Desert is probably not as good as most buffets. There is one chocolate fountain and a soft serve yogurt machine but other buffets have a better dessert selection. There is a nice sushi selection although don’t expect top quality. For the price though it is hard to beat.

hibachi grill is OK for a ten dollar sushi buffet. I for one am not a fan of sushi but I like the fish and some of the other items they offer. this restaurant is very clean. also I read in someone else’s review that they don’t have crab legs that is false. they do have crab legs but I believe you have to special order them.

Nothing wowed me about this buffet. There was plenty to choose from. I am not a buffet type person tho. I think if you are that type person it might be good for you. I just didn’t find anything that impressed me. It wasn’t bad, the staff was friendly. Just not my cup of tea I suppose. I’d rather have one dish that I loved than a ton of food that was just ok. If you are hungry and like buffet style food it’s probably right up your alley, I might just live on a different street.

Seriously I eat sushi from buffets all the time and they taste ok but this place have the worst sushi ever !! the sushi taste so awful I feel bad I had a full plate of sushi and could not even take another bite of it. They do have a chocolate fondue which it’s pretty cool and they have a variety of ice cream selections bluebell ice cream and Ice cream sandwich, I only give 3 stars because their dessert section is awesome! Don’t care about rest of their food, and sushi was awful, yuck !

I’m torn on how to review this… It’s one of my preferred buffets in the area. The food is ok, but they have the hibachi and sushi which gives them extra points. However… It has degraded slightly over time. The sushi used to be better, and the last couple times I was here they no longer has the bacon wrapped crab, which I love. Would I recommend it? Yes. Is it my favorite anymore? No.

Oh. My. God. Let me start out by saying, I am far from a food snob. I have my higher tastes, of course, but when it comes down to it, sometimes you just want something cheap and easy(that’s what she said)…and if fine flavors and ingredients are a bit sacrificed, so be it. I’ll eat 2 day old leftovers… Happy’s Pizza… even the occasional trip through the Taco Bell drive thru while sober. And where other people complain, I’m usually fine. But Hibachi Grill reigns supreme as perhaps the ONLY restaurant I have gone to where I just really, couldn’t bring myself to take more than a bite or two of anything I tried. It’s all just so… bad!!! Perhaps it was my fault for forgoing one of the many trendy downtown restaurants I could have tried, for a buffet restaurant somewhere off the beaten Cincinnati path. But hear me out. I was on a tight budget while in town, wanted to save my cash for a concert and drinks later on, and was hit with a huge sushi craving. Doing a quick Unilocal search, I discovered this place as being not too far and offering sushi as part of their Japanese buffet. I immediately thought of Fuji buffet back home in Detroit, which hangs out at a 3 star average as well, and while others turn up their nose, I don’t have a problem occasionally indulging in their average-but-not-great sushi, when the trade off is a good price. Like I said, not a huge food snob. So, I thought, even if I can just grab a good California roll here and a sampling of whatever else they might have, I think it would cure my craving on the cheap. Sweet Jesus. This place does everything, and does none of it even acceptably. They make Fuji look like 5 star dining. Their sushi buffet is small, with every roll being either completely deep fried, and/or smothered in a variety of brightly colored, unnatural sauces. I know sushi, and I could hardly determine what any of the rolls were supposed to be. I took a few pieces to give it a try anyway, but whatever might have been inside the rise was ruined by the layer of fried stuff around it. Pushed away my plate, which was still full… went back to see if I’d have better luck with the other items. They have a multitude of buffet tables, maybe 2 of which are Japanese/Chinese food and the rest is a smattering of all things American(mac and cheese, spaghetti, chicken in the form of wings, boneless wings, and tenders, etc.) Again — no snob — I am usually down for chicken and mac and cheese. In fact, these are two favorites of mine. The mac and cheese was so mushy and plastic tasting, I couldn’t get past more than a forkful, and the chicken so dry that I just peeled a wing apart and the sight was so unappealing it didn’t even make it to my mouth. Repeat the cycle of pushing still-full plates aside to be taken away, and trying a bit of anything, hoping something would be edible. No luck. Finally, just so to not have totally wasted the trip and money, I settled with making an iceberg salad from the salad bar(pretty impossible to mess that up) before leaving in disbelief that such a place remains in business. Like I said, call it my fault — maybe I should have known better. I wasn’t expecting Michelin Star dining, but good God I never could have predicted walking into THAT. Staff is friendly though — not sure how they manage to keep up cheer and morale while working in such a cesspool. But good for them.

Absolutely best buffet in a town for this price. Great selection, very friendly stuff, good sushi choice for buffet, large hibachi table, fresh fruits and chocolate fountain. They are even serving fried(lunch) and fresh(dinner) oysters! All those who left negative comments — tell me better place for this price? 5 starts for sure.

I must say that they probably have the largest number of buffet tables of any buffet in Cincinnati. I think there was 10 tables, 1 sushi table, and 1 hibachi table. I’d say it was about 50⁄50 chinese to basic American things like onion rings or pizza. The sushi was above average for a buffet, but not out-of-this-world, but good variety. Hibachi table is a plus as well. As someone else said, the Chinese food seemed to lack personality, but it was on par with other buffets around. This is pretty much a quantity vote here.
