Gateway Games & More

With the coming closure of Yottaquest, Cincinnati has few good board, card, and RPG games stores. Gateway Games is the best.
Located in a strip mall east of the Sam’s Club in the Eastgate Mall area, Gateway has been open four years at the time of this review. It’s a small store, but it carries a strong collection of RPG games and collectible games. It also carries European and American-​style board games from leading companies. Whatever owners Todd & Wendy don’t have in stock, they can get.
The best thing going for Gateway is Todd’s encyclopedic knowledge of role-​playing games and the congenial atmosphere he creates at the store. There are gaming tables, demo games to play, and a strong core of people who play games regularly at the store, both during organized, scheuled game times and spontaneously. Everyone is welcome, and the unofficial motto of the store is «No Gamer Left Behind.» Some game stores and their employees can be off-​putting. Gateway is NOT that kind of store.
Genuinely helpful and happy to have you, the folks at Gateway want you to have a great experience with games, from browsing to playing. That desire makes Gateway a great place to shop and play.
