Very good, fresh, well prepared ingredients. Staff has always been friendly when I go in. The only issue I’ve encountered is the wait time. I’ve been in a few times and waited 15+ minutes for my meal. The noodle bowls are to die for.

I came here today with my friend around 3:00 for lunch. When we walked in we were greeted with smiles and polite conversation. The staff is very nice. When I go to sushi place I typically judge it off its Alaska roll, just because I feel like it’s simple enough and shows a places basic skills. Sadly this place doesn’t have one, so instead I got a California roll. My first impression was that it looked great. The crab was in strands and not lumps, which is interesting because I typically have it the latter. The taste was average, so I went and got some soy sauce and ate it the way it’s supposed to be eaten.(Dip one side in soy sauce and place the opposite end on your tongue.) the sushi immediately started to fall apart when I dipped it in the soy sauce. Which means it wasn’t wrapped tightly enough. Overall this place is alright. Nothing too impressive. $ 7 for a 10 piece roll

It’s different will try a different sauce next time I go back. Decided to make my own bowl brown rice, chicken, shrimp, broccoli, corn, carrots, onion topped with yum yum sauce. I might get something spicy next time.

Kinda disappointing. They are really trying to make it more upscale than it really is. Like other reviews, they are trying to make Japanese food into a Subway or Chipotle format. I tried the grilled chicken bowl with bangkok sauce. It was nothing to rave about. The shrimp tempura looked like it was frozen and they reheated it. Not a place I will venture back to.

The food was really good. The only reason I took out a star was because the big bald dude that was in the front was rude and annoying.

One reviewer called this the Asian version of Chipotle, and that is spot on! This is tucked away right before Northgate mall in the same area as Graeter’s and is not very easy to see from the street. The food has a nice selection of pre-designed meals and rolls as well as the create-your-own options. The quality is what you would expect from a more budget version of sushi and there were some neat options like eel, raw tuna, and masago. I went late dinner time on a Tuesday night and it look exceptionally long to get our food as there were about ten carry-out bags being filled when we ordered. Our food was okay, nothing to write home about. I got created a Fusa-bowl with rice, veggies, spicy tuna, and Yum Yum sauce. My boyfriend’s food was better, he had a Bangkok bowl with noodles and chicken. His noodles had a more developed flavor and had a better sauce ratio. The idea of the place is better than the actual food. The customization of everything makes it very time intensive and that really affected my experience. We did try the spring rolls, which were piping hot and nice and crunchy. We also got a Yum Yum sushi roll in soy paper, which did not hold up well and ended being eaten with forks instead of chopsticks. It is nice to have an Asian Fusian restaurant in Colerain as that is severely lacking, but Fusabowl has a while to go still before they are the ideal choice.

It’s like the Sushi version of Chipotle. Sidle up to the counter, point, pick, add, subtract and POOF! your dish is served. It is not as distinctly tasty as your traditional Sushi joints, but I really like the new concept of choose your own sushi fast food. The ingredients were very fresh the day my date and I went. I ordered the veggie sushi roll with cream cheese(10 pieces for 6.75), miso soup, and Crab Rangoon. I think I would forgo the Rangoon-not because it wasn’t tasty, but I prefer mine savory and this was more sweet. The miso soup was exactly like every other miso soup I have had… ever…at any restaurant. So it was delicious. I like knowing that some things are constant. The veggie roll was tasty. I feel like all of the flavors complimented each other nicely-lettuce, cucumber, carrot, avocado and cream cheese. I also added some tempura for crunch. They have different sauces that you can top it off with, and I tried the general tso’s. It wasn’t bad, but it neither enhanced or sharpened my roll, so it felt a little like an afterthought. Fusabowl is a great idea for sushi lovers that already know what combinations they like, but there are so many options on the menu, as well as a «create your own» sushi option that I think you could find yourself ordering a cornucopia of madness just out of sheer overstimulation. Just because corn is offered as an additional sushi component doesn’t mean you should put it in there.

Very good and pleasantly surprised. Will definately make this part of my rotation. Affordable and fresh. Kind of like an Asian version of Chipoltle.

Love this place!!! Writing my review based on one visit… The food was very good and fresh and the portion size was enough to have leftovers. Good variety for quick Asian food and I like the idea of selecting what you want in your bowl or sushi and the hibachi style cooking. The employees were very helpful and nice… Love the sauce variety. Will definitely be back

Was not super impressed with it. Average sushi for an average price. I would rather drive to fusion for good sushi at a cheap price.

I really like Fusabowl! The food is good and the service is great. My only gripe is that it gets crazy busy on weekends and you’ll have to wait quite a while for your food. Other than that, I have no complaints. The space is new, clean and modern which makes you want to eat there. Like I said before, the service is great. Everyone there is super friendly and accommodating. Yay for Fusabowl!

Subway for Sushi — Fusabowl is similar to other Build-Your-Own sushi quick-serves AND includes the option of Grilled Eel, which can be hard to find. This place is housed in a build-out on Colerain and looks an awful lot like an Orange Leaf. Not the best sushi I’ve ever had in terms of quality, but gives the fun option of allowing guests to hand pick their ingredients. Employees are very friendly. Fusabowl also offers the build-your-own bowl option with roughly the same ingredients that are used to build your sushi. They also offer grilled chicken, grilled steak, tofu, crab, tuna, and spicy tuna.

Pretty damn good modern asian fusion. I give it 5 stars partly because of the food, but also because it is rather affordable and the customer service is excellent.

Great food– great value– very friendly staff! When was the last time that you ate somewhere where the staff cared more about the customer’s experience than profit? I tried to order three of their«regular» size sushi rolls as that’s the same order I’ve placed at dozens of sushi restaurants. The gentleman taking my order explained that their«regular» rolls were not like elsewhere. I wound up with a full size shrimp tempura roll, a yum yum roll(half size) and a California roll(half size). I could NOT eat them all! Did I mention that they were also VERY tasty! I love this place!

New sushi place in our area. Let me say first I do not like seaweed. I have to have the soy paper wrap. This place has this available. Also many sushi places do not have noodles or other things available so I can take my kids. They have these small bowls were you pick the veggies, protein and sauce. Teriyaki is good for most children. They give you a set of kids chopsticks to. My daughter loved it. They have some Americans behind the counter. This makes it less intimidating for those getting sushi the first time. They explain things well and would be good for those wanting to try it. Not a huge selection of fish and seafood but enough to work with. The rolls are not as tight as they should be and a few minor glitches because it has not been opened long but we will probably be back soon due to how much my finicky 5 year old ate. My husband said the seaweed part was a bit funky and he normally likes seaweed in his roll. Not enough to keep him away tho. They have some Japanese imported juice and soda. Soups and some other popular Asian sides. Glad some new places are popping up over on this side of town I hope more small variety of places open.

First visit to this new restaurant! Clean, good service, fresh food made your way! I tried the miso soup, spring roll, gyozas, and a spicy tuna roll. Everything was very good. Dine in and carry out. Next time I’ll try the grill bowls.

Took the family last night for dinner. The husband I had California rolls. Kids had rice and noodle bowls. Service was fast and friendly. Food was fresh and good sized portions! Watched him make the rolls right in front of us. I did notice that the only raw items on the menu are tuna and salmon(and the spicy version of both). The rolls were a little loosely wrapped and did fall apart just a bit but I think this will improve the longer they are open!?! And the taste was great so we overlooked this. Tonight I ordered take out — build your own roll. I ordered it with soy wrap and brown rice. I noticed that it fell apart even more this time but the soy wrap seems more fragile and the brown rice not quite as sticky so that may be why. Still tastes fresh and lite. Definitely Americanized with larger portions and grilled/fried items in the rolls but I’m American so I appreciate both! Haha. Definitely worth a try!
