Enjoy the Arts

This is about the best deal in Cincinnati, if you know when to look for tickets! Tonight my husband and I got two tickets to the excellent Venus in Fur. In the past eight months we’ve also gone to The Nutcracker, Henry V, and the Cincinnati Pops, and gotten discounts to the Contemporary Arts Center and The Festival of Lights. The student rate is ridiculously inexpensive at $ 35 for yourself and a second person, it’s almost silly not to do. The one caveat is that tickets are released sporadically, and certain shows are competitive so you really kind if need to check their website a few times a day if you really want something. Regardless, this is an outstanding organization that really helps diversify the arts appreciation community in Cincinnati.

I purchased a ETA card and for the price of $ 50 myself and a guest (mostly my hubby) gets to enjoy so much in the beautiful city of Cincinnati for a year. As soon as I signed up and went online I received 64 free tickets that I can claim to numerous activities in the area. I decided to make my first event on November 16^th at Music Hall to an event called One City One Symphony. I have never seen the symphony & orchestra play and I am so excited. This card is such a great opportunity to expose myself to the cultural events in the city that sometimes I feel is out of my price range. I think this will definitely allow me and my guest to see and take part in so much of what the city has to offer. The price tag of $ 50 is also so reasonable. With one event I definitely get my money’s worth. Another bonus is that if you used the two free ticket offer for a place/​company, in my case it is seeing the Symphony and Orchestra at Music Hall I am still able to go back for a future performance and get tickets at half price the week of the show. How cool is that??? Other vendors which take part is the Aronoff, The Carnegie in KY, Cincinnati Museum Center, the Know Theater and so many more. The only catch is that you have to be 35 and under. So you can still buy it for a friend or loved one for their 35^th birthday but once 36 hits, you gotta start paying the full price. It is worth it though and to get the chance to take part in the artsy side of life is the best. And not only does it allow you to get acquainted but I just love how by me joining I can bring someone else along. This will be my year of culture and I can’t wait!!!

I have been a member since May 2013. I love ETA! It sounds too good to be true, it is it true! The only negative is that free tickets are limited per show so you need to claim fast and ETA does not offer free tickets to all shows (only selected ones).
So far, we have been to these theaters through ETA: Music Hall, The Carnegie, The Shakespeare Company, and Know Theather. We did go back to these theaters the second time and definitely more in the future. Prior to joining ETA, we were not exposed to many theaters in Cincy so this is definitely a good program to explore.
Highly recommended. You will save a lot of money. Once we got orchestra tickets at Music Hall which would have costed $ 125 per tickets.

Enjoy the Arts has opened my eyes to all of the amazing arts events going on in Cincinnati! As a young professional looking for ways to get involved in the city, I found out about Enjoy the Arts online. With my Enjoy the Arts pass I have attended so many amazing performances and arts organizations for FREE. This year, my favorite experiences from Enjoy the Arts were Alice in Wonderland at the Cincinnati Ballet, the Dead Sea Scrolls at Cincinnati Museum Center and An Astaire to Remember at Taft Museum. Enjoy the Arts has truly helped me to fall in love with Cincinnati, meet amazing new people and explore all that the arts have to offer. I will definitely be getting a new Enjoy the Arts pass each year.

Enjoy the arts is easily my favorite part of the cinci arts scene. For those of you who don’t win, you should definitely consider purchasing a membership. For $ 35 if you’re a full time student or $ 50 if you’re not, you get two free last minute (ie day of) tickets to over 40 different arts organizations. I’ve probably only used a third of the vouchers in the booklet and already we’ve been to the Know Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, Playhouse in the Park, the Museum Center, the May Festival Choir, the Pops at Riverbend, the Taft Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, the Underground Railroad Museum, a Cincinnati Arts Association production, a Contemporary Dance Theatre shoe, and the Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival. I LOVE ETA and will be absolutely heartbroken when I turn 35 in a few years and no longer qualify.

As someone who was literally raised in the arts community in Cincinnati and is now currently a working member of it, I had not heard of this organization until recently.
I decided to become a member as a recent college grad who still can’t afford to attend the arts at full price. This organization is doing a great job at getting the youth in Cincinnati interested in the arts. They have a student membership, and under 30 membership, and an above 30 membership. I fall into the second category and paid about $ 40 for my membership.
The organization is a basically a local non-​profit marketing agency for local arts organizations. The organizations sign up with Enjoy the Arts and offer free tickets to their members. Marketing departments use this as a way to get the younger crowd in, or people who wouldn’t normally come to the arts in hopes of impressing them enough to get them to come back. Let’s hope it works! I’ll always go to the arts, just can’t afford to!
I can’t wait to get my packet!

If you go to one fancypants/​high culture event per year, you should join Enjoy the Arts. With a $ 35 membership, you get a huge packet of vouchers to every fine arts organization in town. Every one. So that’s two free tickets to the Orchestra, the Ballet, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, all of the museums, Know Theatre Tribe, New Stage Collective, Playhouse in the Park…
I’m not kidding. And, after you use those, you get significant discounts (like, half-​price tickets, though you can’t get the best seats) for further attendance.
I’m not kidding! Seriously! Go sign up now. The only difficult part is getting around to all of them.
