What a rip off. Took old walk behind mower to have the blades sharpened and the oil changed. They wanted a $ 30.00 deposit. A couple of days later I called to check on it and they said a tune up on it would be at least $ 100.00 and they don’t call for approval unless the repairs are over $ 200.00. I could replace the mower for $ 300.00. they tried to keep my deposit(they called it a handling fee) and told me that I didn’t understand the way it worked and went on about how they have been in business for 20 years and I was the one with a problem. After telling them I would dispute the charge with my credit card company they said they would credit it back. By the way they also said they don’t give estimates. My advice, buy a new mower before going to this place.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. I took my Craftsman mower to them to fix the wheel raising/lowering mechanism which had broken. i also wanted my blade sharpened. They wanted $ 30.00 up front(which should have aroused my suspicions), and a few days later, called to tell me my mower was ready. They charged me $ 193.24(with tax). Now, the problem is, my mower is several years old, beat up(has duct tape holding screen instead of mulching door). The wheels are worn and generally it’s the kind of mower that would not be worth spending $ 200. I mean, brand new it cost less than $ 300. When I complained that I would have liked a phone call alerting me to the expense, the man Pointed to my service order paper — on the top it says: repairs up to $ 195 on walkbehind, $ 390 on riding mower and $ 100 on 2-cycle, hand-held equipment will be made without further notice. Ok, my bad, I never noticed that(they could have mentioned it, right?) An ethical business person would estimate the repair costs, and upon seeing that the total repair probably exceeded the worth of the machine, at least call and inform the customer. Imagine you had taken your 10 year-old, 175,000 mile car to a mechanic — for some unspecified engine work… he then fixes the problem without an estimate, and charges you $ 3000…and your car is worth maybe $ 1900…you see my point? Their attitude was basically«too bad for you, it’s written on the service order» Never again!
