Extremely unprofessional and unresponsive. Did not do basic maintenance on the apartment, and when they did, they would charge us. By the time I moved out the electric/​gas bill for a 2 bedroom apartment was upwards of $ 450 a month to keep it above 60 °F in the winter but was told the furnace was «working fine». Repeated emails with basic questions went unanswered, as did phone calls. Don’t expect a response.
Also, during the time I lived there, my marriage ended in a very bad way. When I called to ask about changing the locks per the Civil Protection Order I was issued by the courts, they refused to collect the keys from my ex and gave me endless amounts of «marriage advice». Made a tough situation a lot tougher and in the end, a lot less safe.

I rented a house managed by CRES. After signing the lease and getting the keys, the day I moved in a large tree fell over in the back yard damaging the fence and completely filling the back yard. After repeated calls and pleas to CRES, they ultimately did nothing about the tree. The neighbor cut up the part of the tree in their yard and I was forced to painstakingly cut up a huge tree that fell into the yard of the house I just rented!
Before moving in, the carpets were not cleaned and had pet spots from previous renter (noted on my move-​in checklist). When I moved out, they deducted carpet cleaning from my deposit even though the carpets were in better condition when I received them due to my cleaning them!
Overall, CRES is extremely unresponsive and not at all focused on the tenants and their rights as renters. Would not recommend to rent or purchase any property from them.
