Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum

Stadium tour… highly recommended. So cool to be behind the scenes. Tour guides were great. Great for all baseball fans and especially Reds fans.

Took my son a couple of years.
Was a great time, saw and learned a lot about the Reds and history.
Learned facts about the ballpark which were cool.
Wish we could have toured the locker rooms, but that is a different tour and fee, so pay attention when purchasing.
Overall good time.

We took the Stadium tour and highly recommend you do too. Jeff Zink was our guide and he did a fantastic job — of all the tours I’ve been on, he did the best, hands down. You see every aspect of the stadium and there is an abundance of Reds history shared throughout — no matter how big a fan you are, you will learn a lot. Your pass provides you all day access to the Hall of Fame, and that also is well worth it. The Reds have done a great job with the museum — lots of memorabilia and very interactive. Fun for any baseball fan — Reds or not. A must visit during a trip to Cincinnati.

Definitely among the best Halls of Fame we’ve seen at the ballparks we’ve been to. Huge collection of historical memorabilia, some really great interactive exhibits (even a speed pitch!), and a really nice layout and décor. We’ve seen some pitiful museums in baseball. This one is easily among the top tier.

I’m a huge baseball fan, but even more so a Reds fan! The Reds hall of fame is absolutely first class in every way. I thoroughly enjoyed my hour here! I was shocked at how much there was to see and do. Truly a baseball fans heaven whether or not you are a Reds fans. It will at the very least make you respect the franchise.
My favorite attraction was the media booth towards the end of the tour. You get to call the action or the play by play after you get the situation from Marty. It will give you a new respect for the play by play guys that do it for their careers.
Whether you are a Cincinnati native or from across the country, a stop at the Reds HOF would be well worth your time and money if you find yourself in downtown Cincinnati.

Whether you’re a Reds fan or just a fan of the game this place is a must visit attraction. The team that started it all has the best HOF and museum in the big leagues!
The displays change and I always learn something new when I visit. If you’re a real Reds fan than the next time you are going to the game give yourself an hour or two to explore this place, it’s awesome!

Must see for Baseball Fans!
You will need at least 2 hours to experience everything this museum has to offer. All baseball fans will enjoy the historical baseball history exhibits here. The first floor has exhibits and facts to read while you wait on the theater doors to open. The fifteen minute film in the theater was very interesting.
The third floor offers interactive exhibits and a small theater decorated like a locker room. They show funny baseball bloopers in this theater. The exit leads you to the gift shop with a large variety of Reds items. You pass the second floor on your way down to the gift shop. The only thing on this floor is customized jerseys and a single bathroom shared by men and women. If there is a line go to the lobby of the museum. There are bathrooms there.
We didn’t get to go on the ball park tour because it was game day and the teams were already there. We were able to purchase a ticket to batting practice when we purchased the museum tickets. My husband really enjoyed batting practice. We will have to tour the ball park on our next visit.

If your a baseball fan, you will enjoy the Reds history presented in this museum. Very well done. Lots of interactive exhibits for kids on the third floor.

11÷10÷12 Late review Saturday before the Giants versus Bengals. Friendly staff, and some really nice memorabilia. Was a big Eric Davis fan as a youth. Was great for me to see them win as a kid, verse heavily favored Oakland. They got an exhibit that shows all the hits Pete Rose had 4256. That’s a lot of baseballs. Grabbed a Fitted to consummate the experience.

My buddy and I were at the Reds game on a recent weekday afternoon and were leaving when we decided to check out the Reds Hall of Fame… we didn’t expect much but in the end decided it was a definite highlight of our day and visit to the ballpark.
You walk in, pay the $ 10, and are on the lower level. This level included a theater and a temporary exhibit on autographs and had all the players over the years and their autographs, whether on a paper or on their baseball card. Combined with an exhibit on Media and Baseball made for an interesting visit.
We then saw the movie in the theater on the History of the Cincinnati Reds. Having been impressed with what we saw, we thought that was it… well once out of the theater, we walked down a corridor and found an elevator which would take us to the 2^nd level where they have the permanent exhibits on the Reds.
This was a very neat experience seeing different facets of the game and also their three World Series trophies. You have an opportunity to throw some pitches and of course see some interesting snippets and quotes from the players over the years.
The Reds Hall of Fame is a definite must for not only the Reds fan, but baseball fans in general who want to learn about the history of the Reds through the years.

The Reds Hall of Fame and Museum is excellent and I don’t even know a lot about the Reds or baseball. Since my boyfriend is a huge Reds fan and yearning for the season to start, we decided to come down to check out the museum and take the ball park tour, which I highly recommend. The museum is very clean, organized, and well laid out. Lots and lots of cool memorabilia to check out that even the non-​baseball lover will appreciate. There is even plenty to keep the kiddos busy here. But the best part is paying a little extra to take the ball park tour (Hall of Fame admission included in the price!). You have the opportunity to check out the press box, dugouts, the room where players do interviews after games, umpire «super secret special area,» Diamond Club, and Riverfront Club. It’s totally worth the $ 17 price tag to see these areas when it’s not busy and with a very knowledgeable guide. Be sure to purchase tickets online beforehand in case the tour is sold out!

I was surprised how good this Hall Of Fame was. Somethings these places are cheapened and a money grab, I can say a lot of thought, time and attention was put into this. In depth information about the Reds, history, player information, and souvenirs. The museum is very large to, I would definitely recommend it.

A must see for any Reds or baseball fan period. My only complaint is that I wish it was bigger. We went on a Sunday morning/​afternoon. Even for it being a game day AND having free Johhny Bench Bobbleheads, they were not packed at all. My boyfriend and I leisurely took our time through the exhibits. All in all we took about 2 hours to get through the entire place.

Well done! While the Reds HOF may not be for everyone, but it is for some, and that includes me. I’m a fan, and it is a good time to wander through yesteryear and enjoy the memories. The hours of operation vary in-​season vs. out of season, so call before going.
Warm up your pitching arm before you go. Step in the cage and get yourself on the radar gun. How fast is your fastball, and can you throw it sixty feet and six inches over the dish for a called strike?

I have a confession to make. I’ve been to Great American Ballpark a bunch of times, and even went into their apparel store every once and a while … but I had absolutely zero idea that they had a Hall of Fame tucked behind there — a giant museum dedicated to all that is Reds glory.
Not only does it exist, but it turns out to be the biggest team museum in the country, larger than even the Yankees. It’s two different floors of history. The bottom is an-​always changing exhibit, either on a certain player or year or event (like the last World Series Championship, which is what I saw when I went). The top is a long take-​through of Reds and Cincinnati baseball history. They’ve got interactive exhibits to play around with and stuff so old it needs to only be shown in dim light or it will fall apart. It’s all really interesting.
My favorite sections had to deal with the infamous Pete Rose, hometown hero to some and bad boy of Baseball to others. They had some great items from him, like a signed ball that sad, «I’m sorry I bet on baseball.» Ha! They also had a beautiful rose garden, with a patch of white flowers planted in the exact spot of his 4192 hit where the old stadium used to lie. That was really neat actually.
They even host all three of the Reds World Series trophy’s, so if you’ve never seen one up close, here’s your chance.
It’s cheap to, $ 10 to $ 15 dollars per ticket. On certainly days you can also add on a $ 5 extra fee and be taken through Reds Stadium as part of a tour, led by an experienced guide. That is something I didn’t get to do, but might like to sometime in the future.
Still, like all museums of this nature, once I’ve seen it, I’m not sure I ever need to come back again. I might if the changing exhibit was something I really wanted to view, but I think I’ve done it and that’s enough. Still, for the tons of people in the dark like me — and I know you’re out there — give it a shot. You’ll feel all sorts of awesome Cincinnati pride, darn it.

I’ve been a baseball fan all my life, and even though my loyalty to the game is bound around the San Francisco Giants, I found the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum one of the most special and inspiring tributes to the game.
A small $ 10 fee gains admission for an entire year. That’s a great deal!
Unfortunately for me I had all of 90 minutes to take in all of the rich history of Cincinnati’s Reds. The names are so familiar … Bench, Concepcion, Geronimo, Morgan, Rose, Seaver and so many more. Growing up as a young baseball fan I admired the organization known best as «The Big Red Machine» and this exhibit brings back great (and sometimes haunting) memories. These guys use to beat up on my Giants, and who could ever forget how they swept our cross-​bay Oakland Athletics to capture the 1990 World Series.
The first floor gives a nice overview of the Reds organization through the years, but I found myself lost in time with all of the great exhibits on the third floor. What I love most is that Pete Rose is included in it all. I’m one of many fans who believes that Rose belongs in baseball’s hall of fame and shouldn’t be punished for his off-​the-​field mistakes, but politics will always rear its ugly head in sports, and I’m just happy there is a place where his on-​the-​field achievements are recognized.
If you’re a baseball fan visiting the Cincinnati area the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum should not be missed. Inspired, I became a Reds fan for a day!

The newest addition to the Great American Ballpark complex is the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame opened just two years ago in a building right next to the stadium, the Hall and the ballpark share the same address.
To be perfectly honest, I don’t think I would ever take a trip downtown JUST to visit the Hall of Fame… it’s just not that great. If, though, I’m actually at a Reds game, I don’t mind paying an extra few dollars to stop in and wander around after the game is over.
The Hall of Fame features the entire history of the Reds in a 3-​dimensional way. The first floor shows models of the previous stadiums the Reds have played in and gives stories about turn-​of-​the-​century players.
The next floor takes the team into the more modern age; almost everything is dedicated to the Big Red Machine (and hey, why wouldn’t it be?). There are quite a few interactive exhibits on this floor. I personally enjoyed the «call your own game» booth, where I was able to be the announcer for various historical moments in Red’s history (I chose to grab the mic for Griffey’s 500^th HR).
Other interactive exhibits include a throwing cage where users can test the speed they can pitch (a whopping 32 MPH! I’ll be pro before you know it) and a kids area where little ones can dress up in their favorite player’s uniform and parade around a miniature locker room. Great for photo ops. There’s also a lounge area where visitors can watch reels of historical high-​lights of the Red’s organization.
As you leave the museum you wind through a cool dedication to the players that have actually been inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame; each player’s likeness is on a frosted glass panel with their stats and claims to fame. The end of the «Hall of Fame» dumps you directly into the Red’s gift shop, so be prepared to buy souvenirs!
