CarX Tire & Auto

So I gave these guys a real challenge today and they hit it out of the park. I purchased a magnaflow exhaust and cats with a new y pipe. I quickly realized I was in over my head and scheduled a appointment to get it professionally installed. I think they were swearing at me a lot but after much determination they got it in. It looks amazing and I really appreciate them cutting me some slack on the bill. They fought with it for 7 – 8 hours to complete and had no reason to give me any kind of deal. Quality work and Chris has great customer skills and runs a good shop. I can’t recommend these guys enough.

I have to preface this review by stating that I am seriously lacking in my auto-​knowledge. Historically speaking, most shops treat me like a fool and then try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. My husband hit some nasty potholes, ended up with a flat tire/​bent rim very late Friday night. We live in Columbus, so I started calling shops the next morning and every single shop would tell me virtually the same thing, and it went something like: «We can replace a tire today, but we will probably not be able to fix the rim if it is really bent. We can’t get that product until Monday.» I was feeling slightly defeated and didn’t know how I was going to get my husband home BEFORE Monday. I was about to just give up but then called this Car-​X and Don, I believe he is a Manager, was a total lifesaver. He said they would be willing to try and fix the rim, and would do everything in their power to fix it. Not only was he willing to try to fix the rim but he was willing to do so at a VERY reasonable price. Then, to top it off he gave me a name/​number of a towing company that he said would also be kind to us. My husband was able to get the car to them, they fixed the rim, put a new tire on, and my husband was home by Saturday afternoon! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this shop and especially Don. Not only were the prices a total value, but the customer service was phenomenal. Thank you, Don!!! If there were Car-​X shops in Columbus, we would probably be customers for life just from this experience.
