Brooklyn Pizza and Pasta

By far the best pizza in Cincinnati. I’ve been so depressed about my lack of tasty pizza options ever since I moved here, but then I found this place. It’s real New York pizza. I cannot believe nobody knows about this place. I’ve missed good pizza like this so much. I wish they were closer to my side of town, but for real pizza like this, it’s completely worth it.

Love the pizza AND the pasta (I go for the ziti, myself). Filling meals for the price (if you’re starving, try the lasagna!). The staff is also very friendly, so going there is always a nice experience.

I am in the Cincinnati area on business and I was craving Pizza. Did some Unilocal searches and tried this place. Really glad I did… Brooklyn Pizza may not be true NY Pizza, but it is really, really good. I debated 4 or 5 stars, but ended up going with 4 because the sauce could stand to be just a tiny bit sweeter.
I travel a lot to the Midwest on business and finding good Pizza is usually hopeless. BUT. I know have a «go to» place when I visit Cincinnati. If you haven’t tried it yet, I would give it a shot guys… it was WAY better than the other local places here which were NOT good when I tried them in the past.

Very good pizza to order but nothing that stands out good value good food but nothing special. I would recommend it if in the area and would go more often if it were closer. The inside isn’t much to brag about and probably not the best dine in option so I usually take it to go. I would compare to a sabarro but definitely a better quality…

OK I can actually call it pizza. Good quality cheese, not half bad crust and no French fries or chili on top of it like everything else I’ve ordered out here. Check it out.

Went there tonight, got there early enough so we didn’t have a wait and ordered our pizza. Last week, Sat eve we’d stopped in for a pizza and hubby wanted it again. I’m thinking maybe 2 Saturday eve in a row is pushing it. Last Sat evening our pizza was perfect, great crust, plenty of toppings, perfect. Probably why hubby wanted it again. Hmmm, tonight I can’t give it a perfect, more than likely I shouldn’t give them 2 stars. The first thing I noticed was the crust on our large pizza was blackened, and I mean charred. My half was tomatoes, mozzarella and basil, unfortunately I couldn’t taste the toppings due to the burnt bottom crust. And, when looking at the underneath, crust of my piece of pizza, trying to decide if we wanted to ask them to remake and not burn it, I spotted a few 1 inch short blonde hairs, Eckkkkkk! The bottom was black and oily from the cheese so I carefully wrestled them out, Ewww. We stayed and ate, we hadn’t eaten since breakfast but even tho the pizza was perfect last week, have to fault them for serving a pizza they knew was charred all over tonight. I can honestly say that given the short blonde hair on the bottom, someone in their kitchen needs to wear a hairnet. It’s going to be a long time before we go back. We have Flying Pizza almost in our backyard, never served us a blackened crust or hair for that matter.

Outstanding pizza. I’m a NYC pizza pro, and these guys are close. Real close. All they need is some water from the East River!
Excellent food, great service. Two tables for dining outside if you like (we did). They have a decent beer list that I didn’t take advantage of, but it’s duly noted for next time. My companion ordered the Hot & Spicy and loved it. I got the cheese, and it was fab.
I’ll be back when I’m in the area. Already wishing there was one close to me.

The hype is true about their pizza, very yum. Melty cheesey goodness and what have you.
Only complaint is the garlic knots we ordered were quite stale. Keep bread goods fresh and chewy please!

Ok. Devine pizza intervention led us back to Brooklyn Pizza. First choice was Flying Pizza for Sicilian style; closed on Sunday. Second thought was Dewey’s for an all-​meat pie; not open till 4:00 on Sundays.
Then it struck (duh)…Brooklyn Pizza. Seems like they never close AND the pizza has never disappointed.
Got a half cheese, half meat (meatball, pep and sausage). And just like the box says… Fugeddaboutit.
This is the BEST traditional New York style pizza available in Cincinnati. Period. Try the rest, hell, try them all. The try Brooklyn Pizza. The crust is authentic with a soft AND crunchy texture. The crust comes complete with the bubbles and is cooked perfectly on the bottom. The homemade meatballs are delicious as well.
If you manage to leave room for dessert, BP has you covered as well. Order the cannoli. They make them to order which means the cream goes in when ordered not before. This results in a fresh, crunchy shell, and a better tasting pastry overall. Experience a non-​soggy Italian pastry the way it should taste.
Skip the others and travel to Brooklyn.
Now if I can just find a Dunkin Donuts that actually fills the donuts with a respectable amount of cream and a bagel store that makes a decent NY-​style bagel.

Love the crust! I do miss their pizza-​by-​the-​slice though. Not sure when they discontinued having this, but I went recently for a quick slice, and they no longer had it. BUT he said he could whip me up a personal pizza in 8 mins. Definitely worth the wait, AND fresh out of the oven: o) Yum! Definitely a must-​try!

Husband is from NY where the pizza is super authentic and I’m from west coast were most every place you eat uses super fresh and local ingredients and you can absolutely taste the difference. This is as close as it gets to home– we recommend !

I have tried to rein myself in from giving five-​star reviews based only on a single visit; however Brooklyn pizza is a happy exception. It only took me one visit to make the judgment… This is as authentic NY pizza as you are gonna find west of Jersey City.
The crust, the sauce, the topping options as well as their quality and quantity, all make the cut to qualify this joint as an authentic pizzeria. As a recognized expert in this area, I gladly give my official Queensborough seal of approval.
I’ll also take a moment to mention that the SIZE of the slice is also as it should be. This is important: some «New York style» pizza places in Mid-​America make their pies with just a little too much diameter, and therefore the slices are a just a little too BIG.

A slice and a COKE, NOT a Pepsi
Boar’s Head meats (The gold standard)
A black and white baked by Joey’s of Newark
Authentic garlic knots
Calzones, meatball Parmesan heroes, pasta dishes, and all the rest of the good stuff.
My fellow displaced New Yorkers! Head to Brooklyn Pizza for true taste of home. The rest of yous, be sure and give it a try… Especially if you have never ordered just a slice, or have not experienced a black and white. Be sure and get here before 5 PM to order by the slice. You’ll be glad you did!

Working every Saturday across the street from Brooklyn Pizza we were trying for something different, I’m not a big pizza guy instead we went to they’re catering menu and chose Pasta to feed over twenty on «budget» for work Saturday, they set us up with a large tray of Lasagna and a couple of others, like, stuffed shells and a very very good Eggplant Parmesan, as well as, a full tray of Caesar Salad, they kept us on budget and provided us on extremely short notice!
Thanks a bunch guy’s! One of the best catered lunches we have had in a long time.

I love this joint I been to Manhattan an thought that I could stay in NY for the pizza. This is quite the reminder of my stay there. Delicious I have had several items delivered an pick up

Went to this pizza place today and it was absolutely amazing. I’m from New Jersey just outside of New York and I’m hard to please when it comes to pizza, but this place is definitely going to be my go to from now on. Reminds me of home, you’ve gotta try it. They also have other pizzeria classics such as chicken parm subs and dinners and garlic knots. I am goig to try the hot subs next time. Can’t wait.

Came here for lunch after hearing about the great lunch deal. Came on a Wednesday around 1 and a few customers were placing take out orders, but no one was dining in the dining room. I didn’t know whether to order at the counter or take a seat and order with the server, so I sat down.
I ordered the white noise and it was good, the broccoli was underdone, but that would be my only complaint.
Will be back to try another small pizza for lunch.

Ok, so it’s a tough pizza world out there, but Brooklyn Pizzeria is straight business. Staff is friendly and the pizza is always awesome. Very authentic NY without being too greasy. You can tell they use very high quality cheese. Ask for the pizza a little well done for special little crisp on the crust. We drive 30 minutes for their pizza.

Formerly one of the «Noce’s» Pizza joints, this place is now called «Brooklyn Pizza.» While the name has changed, the food I’ve noticed has remained very much the same as when it held its previously name. Then again, I’d only been to Noce’s one other time, so what do I know?
Cincinnati is not well known for its pizza scene, but the handful of Noce’s resataurants always ranked way up there for me (near the top 5, if not in it) as far as decently good pie places go. Despite its change in name – and presumably not in ownership – the food was still pretty good. Also, as I previously mentioned, we don’t have a ton of good pizza to compare it to in these parts, but it was tasty nonetheless, especially seeing as I can compare it to a lot of locally owned New York– and Chicago-​style pizza joints. Admittedly, I much prefer the former, though both are really great in their own right. Personal preference, kids.
Brooklyn Pizza notably compares itself to the more thinly-​made fare of the New York persuasion. While it may not compare to a lot of locally owned pizza pie joints in the tri-​state area (of New York; not greater Cincinnati), it certainly measures up to the greats in this tri-​state area.

Noce’s Pizzeria, which formerly occupied this commercial space, went through a wild ride on the quality scale during its existence here. At first, I thought it was right up there with the best pizza in the Cincinnati area (and the best New York style), but then there was a mystifying decline into LaRosa’s-like dullness, and finally a rally over its last few months to recover nearly to its former excellence.
Then it closed.
As I understand it, the several partners who ran several Cinci-​area Noce’s locations broke up their mini-​empire and went their separate ways, one retaining the Noce’s flagship and some of the others opening pizza places under new names.
This one’s called Brooklyn Pizza, and it’s pretty indistinguishable from the mostly-​good version of the Noce’s that used to be here. In other words, easily-​better-​than-​average pizza by Cincinnati standards, and at reasonable prices. The décor is almost identical to the old store. A big bonus is the addition of wine and beer. (The old Noce’s couldn’t seem to get its act together to get its liquor license.)
