Beck Paint Hardware & Decorating Center

This place was awesome and is just around the corner from me in Walnut Hills. They are a small but mighty store and have the friendliest of people working here. I have come in and they matched a old paint color for me and had it almost perfect and then I came in for a DIY project and needed some sand paper and he walked me through how to select the best grit and type of sanding tool. I will be coming back here for my last minute and small projects without a doubt!

In the era of Big-​Box Hardware stores like Lowes and Home Depot, The «local shops» like Beck’s Hardware struggle to fight with the convenience and prices of these unfair competitors, but the experience of shopping at Beck’s cant be beat. All of the guys in the shop know exactly what they are talking about and it’s like shopping in a era when people actually trusted one another. Shocking, I know.

which provides access to nearly as many products as can be found in the big box stores. Order online, have it shipped to the store for free and pick it up. All of this supports the Local shop.

I have fond memories of coming here with my father when I was younger. The store has only changed a little bit since then and updated itself with the times, but it still remains the quaint and helpful family hardware store that it always was.
The paint store and the hardware store are in separate buildings and there is a parking lot between the two. The employees are always there to help you in under a minute. I’ve had several keys made here and have run in and out to get several items for my nearby apartment and have always been in and out in less than 5 minutes which is great for a hardware store!
They have a really good selection for most hardware needs but won’t always offer multiple brands for most items. However they make up for it by offering decent to low prices in most cases.
