Spera’s Meat Deli and Grocery

Can’t beat Spera’s for cuts of meat. You can really taste the difference between them and the supermarkets. Great subs and prepared foods as well. The lasagna is great. Salads are a little pricey, mac and potato etc but that’s the case everywhere. Deli meats stay fresher longer from them. Great local place that’s always busy.

Great local store butchers are always willing to help and take requests. Good selection of boars head meats and they have house made roast beef beer selection is pretty good as well.

The lady who took the order over the phone had a bad day, being rather gruff. The Deli boy at Pick Up was friendly especially considering it was a very busy time of day. Fast checkout, the young blonde girl had zero personality, did not ask if I found everything I was looking for, which I didn’t as it was my first time there. Clean store, isles swept, shelves very neat. Display cases inviting. I will order the Take Out again! And I’ll try to look around on a less busy evening! Thank you for a Very Good Deli Product.

By far the best quality foods in NY

I have to pass by quite a few supermarkets and other food stores to travel to this location. Why? I simply feel it is very worth while. I am very pleased with the variety, freshness, and value of their products along with the very pleasant and helpful employees. The store is a deli, butcher shop and small supermarket packed with delicious goods all nicely presented in a very clean environment.
Their butcher section has fresh cut meats of excellent quality at prices less than your supermarkets. I enjoy their homemade breakfast sausage, Italian sausages, meatball mix, and great cuts of beef and pork. You can find these in packages that are just the right size for a meal for 1 or 2 or larger. Often, supermarkets charge more per pound for smaller packages while discounting the «family packs». Here, the price remains the same.
The deli counter features a big selection of Boars Head cold cuts. For years, Boars Head has been a premium brand and continues to be so. A large selection of homemade salads i. e varieties of potato, macaroni, tuna, ham, pasta and others, are always out on display and again, all at a reasonable price. On the right side of their display is their hot foods section. It is small and I have generally seen meatballs, pasta dishes, macaroni and cheese, etc… have ordered their custom, freshly made subs where they slice the meats and cheese for each sandwich. I’m not a fan of pre-​sliced cold-​cuts so, you won’t find me at a Subway or similar place.
I have had their excellent meats, cold cuts and sub sandwiches and I hope to enjoy much more !

There aren’t enough stars on Unilocal!to summarize how I feel about this place. Best subs and sandwiches this side of the Mississippi. The salads, the freshly sliced Boar’s Head cold cuts, the hot food case. I’m still only talking about the Deli.
Let’s move on to the Meat Market.
You haven’t had a successful cookout, if you haven’t thrown down some of their burgers, steaks, ribs, chicken YOU NAME IT. I think they’ll even butcher a deer for you. Don’t quote me on that though. Walk 3 ft. from where Tom or Brandon just custom cut you a Bone-​In steak, the size of a Smart Car and grab a 6 pack from one of the finest selections of craft beer in CNY.
Don’t drink beer? That’s fine, head over to the massive drink case on the other side of the store, and prepare to be amazed. Not before you grab a pound of loaded baked potato salad from the aforementioned deli though.
Don’t forget the veggies, they’ve got corn on the cob so delectable, it falls off the ear faster than Evander Holyfield vs Mike Tyson.

Fantastic grocery store and meat market with a small town feel.
To be fair, I use to work here prior to moving to the City. However, the fact that I’m writing about a former employee should speak volumes about management and the atmosphere. I consider the Spera’s family, my family.
Mark genuinely cares about his employees and customers. This is a perfect example of a well-​run small business that earns the respect of the community. This is genuinely a class-​A establishment.

My mother always gets her Christmas roast from speras. Great meat market/​butcher shop, and I’ve heard great things about their subs.

Best place to get meat in the northtowns. Great prices, good quality, friendly staff.

The old neighborhood grocery with a modern twist. Amazing butcher shop, deli and grocery. Hot foods and great deli salads too. Have them make you a sub sandwich and you will be impressed with their homemade sub rolls and excellent meats. They don’t have a huge selection, but they have the best of each item, and all your favorite regional favorites.

Great Meat market and small market located in Cicero, NY. They had a nice selection of regional favorites, made in house and also known local brands. Hubby was thrilled to have German hotdogs and snappy dogs (Coney’s) at the family BBQ. We also enjoyed their in-​house ground sirloin (95% lean) hamburgers, their in-​house hot Italian sausage as well as their sweet Italian sausage. The family raved.
Along with a nice meat counter and deli counter is a produce section and grocery section, so you don’t have to hit the Price Chopper or Wegman’s– you can grab it all here. Staff was very nice.
