Walmart Supercenter

I don’t know why I keep using the Site to Store service. I’ve been waiting about 10 minutes for someone to help me, & at least 10 WalMart employees have walked past me without even looking at me. I can hear the buzzer that notifies employees that there’s someone waiting for help back here, but nothing.

Had a pretty bad experience here. Went to go for a late night run really quickly and though it was pretty slow, the lines were still VERY long. The fact that we can’t purchase alcohol in the express lane (of course) caused for us to wait in one of the 3 open registers. As we were moving to another register who was moving a bit faster, the cashier saw us approach her line which had its light ON, told the customer in front of us he was the last customer and turned us away. Why was it so hard to take one more customer when your light was on! Then we returned to the back of the previous line we were in. The cashier at this register was just so slow and talking to a coworker who had seemed to have clocked out. Rather than focusing on the customers, she was more interested in talking to this person. When we finally got to the front of the register, she was not friendly at all. Continuing her conversation with the same person. Very rude not to pay attention to your customers. Pretty aggravating experience.

Shop here more often. The employees are NOT friendly, store is NOT clean.

THE PROS: This is a 24-​hour Walmart Supercenter, which means in addition to having a grocery and garden section it also offers several other services, such as; hair salon, nail salon, optometrist, insurance sales, pharmacy, and a Subway sandwich shop. It looks like they are opening a threading salon soon.
They have a self-​checkout section which makes it a little less painful if you need to quickly drop in for a just a few items (no alcohol at self-​check though!)
The customers found shopping in this store are above-​average as far as Walmart customers go, I suspect the reason is because this store is in a very nice section of town.
During most of the year, it can be helpful to order what you need online (no groceries online yet) and pick it up at the store to avoid shipping charges.
Place your pharmacy orders when you first enter the store to begin your shopping, and they will text you when your order is ready for pickup.
THE CONS: Usually the in-​store pick-​up for online orders is reliable however, I would NOT recommend trying it during the Christmas rush because the line waiting for pick-​ups can be insanely long. A big downside to utilizing in-​store pick-​up at this store is that they have placed this department way in the back (behind fabrics) of the store, so it is very inconvenient for those of us in a hurry.

Worse Walmart in California. Came here specifically to buy a $ 300 table. Couldn’t find an associate to help us — we needed a flat cart and help lifting it. Literally no assistance at all. Checking out was a complete pain, too. The cashier was so slow. She had friends coming to the register to «visit» so she would stop what she was doing and talk to them/​step away and hug them. Sorry lady, please handle your social life outside of ringing up customers, with a line wrapped around the store, ok?

I ordered a refurbished 55″ LG flat screen back on 11÷18÷15. It arrived at the Eastlake Chula Vista store 11÷29÷15. I never picked the item up and the store failed to properly cancel the order in a timely fashion. I went to the online order pickup department and waited 25 minutes for the desk worker to research the item. They claim it was refunded on 1÷1÷16. To this day, NO credit has appeared on my credit card statement. I have gone back and forth with
customer service who claims to have contacted the Eastlake Walmart. It has now been just over 2 MONTHS and still no refund. The order tracking number still shows the item is «ready for pickup». I will now be looking into legal action.

This is my go-​to spot for most items. I love Walmart because of the convenience. Also, recently I have started using the savings catcher feature on their app and that is very cool as well saves me a bunch of money definitely check it out if you haven’t yet.

I make a point to specifically avoid Walmarts, primarily because I don’t like the customers they attract. Sure their advertisements for low prices are appealing, but I’d rather pay more and avoid having to deal with or see the trash that walks through their doors.
I was in the area for an appointment and running early, so I decided to pop in real quick for one particular item. I was surprised to see 1) no weirdos, 2) how big and warehouse-​like the store was, and 3) a few employees who were out and about and able to assist customers. I wasn’t surprised to see the shelf for the particular item I was looking for in complete disarray though. Stuff was in the wrong spot and some SKUs were out of stock completely. I fought through it though and made it through the self checkout in a very timely fashion. Walmart surprised me this time. :)

This Walmart definitely comes in handy! Their ²⁴⁄₇ schedule helps when doing those late night runs for the family. Wish more were open ²⁴⁄₇!

Apparently we don’t live in the US and everyone speaks Spanish bc I could not understand one word while using the self-​checkout because it was set in Spanish.
Doesn’t feel like there’s any AC inside either because it’s always super hot and muggy when I’m in there.
They really need to schedule more people on Sunday’s and the weekends before the kids go back to school because the lines are ridiculously long with only 6 registers open
And someone’s had this bright idea to change the isle layout in the store sometime last year. And the arrangement doesn’t even make any sense. Good job Walmart.
I use to love coming to this Walmart. Now I dread having to come here.

There’s no way you’ll be in & out of here this Christmas season w/​o spending a good amount of time! Even if you got everything already, check out lanes take about 20−50mins. Swear. For cigs, go on check out lanes (13 – 16).
It’s fully staffed but still not enough help. They could work on speeding up their pace but I could understand if they’re tired because it’s soooo busy! Jon checked us out and he don’t seem to be in the mood to be jolly whatsoever! We needed cigs and he wasn’t that knowledgable about them that we had to point them out to him. We bought alchy and he carded both my brother and I. He didn’t really believe mines. Oh wells.
We needed a key for the alchy cabinet and someone was there right away to help. Parking is horrible. Every may for themselves. The good thing about this Walmart, literally everything is here because it’s a supermarket. On top of that, it’s ²⁴⁄₇.

VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Most of the makeup products were all sold out or out of stock… I needed white eyelash glue & a pair of eyelashes. What made me mad was the fact that every single shelf was empty… Not a single glue or lashes… I posted a picture of the shelf for proof…
How do you run out & not stock up 16 shelves?!
Other than this problem, I like this walmart when its empty around 2am.

What can I say? This is a huge super center of a Walmart!
My boyfriend and I came here during the peak hours once and this place was packed. We parked further from the store by the garden section and it was still pretty packed. Walking into the store wasn’t any better. There were a lot of people and it was just better not to have a cart with us.
I have been to different Walmart locations and will admit that this one is well stocked and organized. We were able to find what we needed quickly and were able to check out just as fast.
If I’m ever in the location again, I would love to come back when it’s not so busy so that I can walk around the store.

Very clean establishment. This supercenter has all the essentials you need. Fair warning though, just because they have a lot of registers. doesn’t mean they are open. The wait time to check out is herroundous!

Best Walmart ever! This is my one stop shop. They literally meant it when they put Super Center lol. It’s huge and they have a vast range of inventory from groceries to hardware, electronics, home goods, etc. What I love about this location is that even though it can get pretty busy the space is big enough so that I’m not running into every body. I don’t mind the crowds. It’s the neatest Walmart I’ve ever been to. Thumbs up for being open 24 hours too! Parking is never an issue either. I Can’t leave out the low prices. The service has been friendly although slow sometimes. My only criticism is they tend to run out of the cosmetics I’m looking for! I assume it’s just a part of the high demand at this location. Well, Eastlake Walmart keep up the good work because this is the only Walmart I enjoy going to.

For a Walmart it’s what you expect. Why only 3 stars is because they are always out of everything.
What is really bad I used the restroom and an employee came out without washing her hands! Gross!

Unilocal just informed me that I’ve been here 38 times and asked me what keeps me coming back. Well, what keeps me coming back are the low prices. I don’t come to Walmart for high priced things, when I come here I want a good deal. Whether I’m looking for drugstore makeup or pajamas, the only reason why I come here is to save money.
When buying makeup or anything in the beauty section, always double check if the item that you want to buy has been open. Walmart shoppers love opening cosmetics and using them on themselves. There’s been way too many times that I check a lipstick and the bullet is worn down like it’s been living in someone’s purse. And not to mention the countless of broken powder products because people drop them and then put them back in their spot. The makeup is cheaper than at Walgreens and Rite Aid, but you do have to be more careful when purchasing from here.
Also, once you have to pay just go through the self checkout section. I have no idea why the regular checkout lanes take forever but they do. And finally, avoid the bathrooms at all cost.

Come here all the time it beats the one on highland in national city any day. They have more items in stock and it’s much more cleaner also not ghetto at all you can come here at night and not have to worry about running to your car at night loll. I like it here the area is nice.

Can’t believe I never wrote a review for this place but here it goes.
We frequently come here when we are in the area or hanging out at Otay Ranch mall. I love coming to this Super Walmart because it’s so huge. There’s a grocery section, clothing, garden area, electronics and so much more! I always walk out of with something whether it’s make up or clothing for me or my daughter. There’s much more room in this super Walmart to move around.
Today we picked up a few items. We needed a new laundry basket since the one we have is literally ripping apart. We also picked up some sale items. My daughter also found a toy here. We found some juice that was a dollar. When you have to stick to a budget, this is the place to shop. You can find great deals on grocery.
There’s plenty of parking around here but come early because it gets so busy in the afternoon. It was still a great shopping experience if you have never been here. I always find what I need and sometimes you can get carried away when shopping here! They also have self checkout which is great. You avoid dealing with the cashiers.

I buy most of my household needs at Walmart. Shopping at Walmart is great and can be fun. It’s a one stop shopping store. There’s automotive, hardware, electronics, toys, food, groceries, clothings, shoes, etc. What a great concept to build a business, not to forget their pricing. The other day, I bought a T-​shirt that looked like those high end T-​shirts that you may find at the mall for just $ 7 each, so I bought two. Haha… check it out guys! See you.

As Walmarts go, this is an 800 lb. gorilla. It is huge. It is very well stocked and open ²⁴⁄₇. Therefore, it is busy. All the time, but weekends are the busiest. Best times are weekdays, early morning or afternoon. Otherwise, be sure to allot enough time for this gigantic store, and by all means wear walking shoes. Although, for the disabled, battery-​powered riding carts are available.
The aisles are remarkably clean, and the shelves generally well-​stocked and nicely faced, although there will be exceptions now and then. The restrooms are generally kept in acceptably clean condition. As a former retail store manager, I noted that every employee I saw was quite busy stocking, straightening or cleaning. A sign of good management.
This store has an exceptional garden store, with a full array of BBQ’s and patio furniture for example, or live plants, more than any other Walmart I have visited. The power tool section is also very well stocked, with national brands such as Black and Decker and Toro. Hand tools, same thing, led by Stanley.
The food section is phenomenal, outstripping just about any Vons, Albertson’s or Ralph’s in the sheer variety of foods on the shelves. For example, I needed red pasta sauce, and was delighted to find over 25 different brands or flavors available. Everything from Emeril LaGasse and Newman’s Own to Walmart’s generic brand, Great Value (quite aptly named).
A major amount of floor space is dedicated to women’s and children’s clothing, not so much for men’s clothes, but enough that you can usually find what you need, if you are male. The women’s and children’s aisles are always busy, busy, busy.
This Walmart carries liquor, wine and beer, unlike the National City store. The prices are very good on a day-​to-​day basis, but sometimes sale prices at other stores are better. The selection of tequilas was muy bueno. And the prices were Walmart level, not liquor store. The prices here also beat BevMo on comparable items.
The usual big-​box store bugaboo is the long checkout line, and this store is no exception. You want low prices? Sometimes you have to wait to pay.
Also available within the store are several individual vendors such as Fred Loya Insurance and an optical shop.
The parking lot befits the store. It is so large, I think the space shuttle could have landed there.

It’s always crowded here. Always. It’s inexpensive to shop here though which is the reason for the constantly going back. It also has every need you have to manage life in the building. You can get lost in here mainly because there are so many people in here at all times. The plus is this is in the best part of San Diego so it is clean and safe.

I use this Walmart often. At least two times a week that I go here for different things I need at home. They have a great selection of things at this store. The store is usually pretty clean and organized.
The return department is a non hassle team. When I have issues or problems with my things, they usually make the exchanges or returns very fast.
The only issue I ever see is sometimes there are too many shopping carts left in the parking lot.

Oh Wal-​Mart… what can I say, there’s a lot of goods & bad’s that’s for sure. The good of course is the sales & prices from food, beer, clothes & toys ect. ect. ect. And this Wal-​Mart compared to all the other Wal-​Marts in the SouthBay is probably the best one most likely cuz it’s a Super Wal-​Mart & it’s in Eastlake. And shopping here on late weekdays is pretty chill sometimes. And of course ‘FIRE UP MAN’ is super cool! He’s the best thing they got here! You Rock ‘Fire Up Man!”
The customer service tho, well they all look sad like most Wal-​Marts, sad. I understand there pay & benefits are bad & I’m sorry but if you don’t like it quit & go to school or get a better job. These people need a lot of hugs. Maybe «Fire UP man» should hug them all 1 by 1. And there slow from the register to cleaning the store & stocking. The Parking lot is madness! People speeding & fighting for parking spaces, it feels like I entered a drunk Nascar bumber car race when I get in there parking lot!
What is the best time to shop here? Well if you want to avoid crying babies or screaming tantrum throwing toddlers with moms ignoring them & wearing no bra in white T Shirts in sweats or pajamas, in dirty house slippers eating a apple or bag of chips they open at the store then don’t come on weekends. Or weekdays during the day cuz well most of those mom’s don’t have jobs & are here with the crying babies using there EBT cards, just saying. Tho I’m a Target guy I do come to Wal-​Mart cuz of there low prices but I come on weekdays pass 9pm, it’s more chill at that time, it’s mainly old people & old people are cool chill grocery shoppers & have no screaming babies.
Walmart does have good prices tho so if you do come & decide to come during the day especially on weekends well get ready for a daily adventure & entertainment cuz Wal-​Mart at that time is like a Zoo, a human Zoo! And bring your Advil you might get a headache. Good luck. Oh & ask ‘Fire Up Man’ how he’s doing! You’ll get a great answer promise!

On top of the savings that Wal-​Mart brings… I have discovered the ibotta app that saves me even more money while I shop. Basically whatever I buy at Wal-​Mart that is also advertised on ibotta, I can redeem a small rebate towards that item. Today I received a 25 cent rebate off of my laundry detergent! I know it’s not much but with Wal-Mart’s low prices and all the small «discounts,» it can start to add up especially for a grad student swimming in debt.

— Don’t expect to be in and out of Wal-​Mart because the lines are long but the cashier that helped us today was friendly and efficient.
— If you’re looking for a cheap card to buy for any occasion, the 97 cent cards are just as good as the pricier options. Why buy expensive when you can get the same quality cards (or even better) for a lesser price?
— Conveniently located within the mall is a nail salon. It always looks so crowded — reminder to self: gotta try it!
