Tom, the owner, is very honest & fair. We bought a Ford Bronco II that needed a transmission. We live in San Tan Valley, AZ and he had the transmission shipped to Yuma to save us 3 hours driving time. Unfortunately, the transmission was not the correct transmission that we needed. Tom was willing to find one for us and we found one here locally in AZ. Tom was very helpful through the whole 3 week process and he never balked on accepting responsibility and gave us a complete refund after we found the correct transmission. People in San Diego County are very lucky to have such a fair & honest auto parts supplier in your local area. I highly recommend Standard Auto Recycling to everyone! 5 starts isn’t enough I would give him a 10 because of the fairness and honesty.

Talked with ‘tito’ on the phone about a computer I saw on
that they had listed for $ 50. He said ‘oh that must be a error because I get double that for computers’
I said go check it yourself you have a whole list of computers for $ 50 and he said he wouldn’t sell it for that price and he’d take $ 25 off if it would help.
What happened to not paying more than the advertised price? he laughed.
I wonder what else they’re shady at.

I recently had issues with my 2000 Audi A4 with the transmission. I have very little knowledge of cars and anything that goes on inside the car. But after a little research I called them asking if they had a used transmission for the car they asked all the appropriate questions make, model and etc. finally ending with a whats the code for the transmission. I had no idea and i said so and i was told it could be one of two to make it easier lets say A or B. I asked if they had both and they said we only have B and just for my own knowledge i asked what if the car takes an A transmission and the response was your shit out of luck? does not really match with what I read on Unilocal.After which i tried asking aanother question but the phone was put down on me. I was extremely turned off by this and decided to go elsewhere.

Tom, Tito, Nikki, and the rest of the crew at Standard Auto are amazing. I deal with these guys on a regular basis because I work in the claims department of an automotive company. I won’t go into how stressful my job is but I will tell you that these guys make it a lot easier. When I call 99% of the time they have exactly what I’m looking for and the one time they didn’t, they went as far as hunting down this almost impossible part to find and pointing me in the direction of where to get it.
Excellent customer service, knowledgable, reliable, friendly, reasonably priced… I could go on and on but call them and experience it for yourself. You can thank me later. :)
