Amazing store! My one and only stop for any occasion. The staff is always available to assist and answer any questions.

I been in various times with my girlfriend, and during those time we were never greeted. Multiple times they greeted other hispanic coustomers and cocasion coustomers as I was in the store.
However as I have notice and my experience maybe isolated, that I have yet seen their staff greet or offer assistance to asain nor other dark coloer individuals.
Today we waited by the dressing room for 5 min for assistance. Numerous times we made eye contact with staff with the register, however they continued to do thier duties at counter.
Over all coustermer service receives a 1 out of 10. As for stars, two only, since thier clothing is cheep.
On a side note, there is a camera pointed at the dressing Rooms in the dressing room area. It’s not directed into the rooms but in the hall way adjacent to the doors.
To me that goes on the lines of invasion of privacy, but at the same time I do not know the bylaws concerning camera placement in dressing room area directly in the dressing area.
As a disclaimer I am not hateing or try to tarnish the store name. I have been in stores in la jolla where people approch u and treat u depending how u dress. I find this store far worse than any store I have been to.

We bought a sweatshirt. It did not fit. Returned it to get bigger size, they would not allow it. BECAUSE, the Tag was not attached. POLICY, can’t do it. Will not return. Wanted to return earrings since I did not want to give my business to them, CAN’T RETURN THEM EITHER. ACCESSORIES FINAL SALE. SADLY MY DAUGHTER USED HER OWN MONEY AND COULD NOT GET ANOTHER SIZE WITH HER RECIET. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT LEAVE THE STORE WITHOUT TRYING ON. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE. DON’T GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS AND HARD EARNED MONEY, ESPECIALLY FROM A YOUNG KID THAT SAVE IT!

I came in here looking for a quick, cheap outfit to wear after work. I found some gray leggings and some wannabe hipster shirt. I paid about $ 23 for both items and when I put them on, the leggings were so thin they were see-​through. So when I tried to return the leggings the girl working told me I couldn’t return them because I didn’t have the tags with me (I guess their policy is no tags/​receipt, no exchange).
The lady began to get an attitude with me because I told her «the leggings are see-​through, and you’re not going to let me return them?» I ended up taking them home because it was a hopeless cause.
I think there return policy is BS, I could’ve gone into Macy’s or Banana Republic with just a plain ol’ receipt and gotten my money back. PLUS, you can’t even do returns at Shimmer you can only «exchange.»
Well my unbiased opinion is everything they sell is overpriced, wannabe Forever 21 clothes. Plain and simple. I’d rather go to Forever 21.

I am a FAN of Shimmer. They have three great locations Chula Vista Mall, Otay Ranch Town Center and Plaza Bonita. The clothing is priced low and is a good place to buy something cute, fashionably stylish, and sexy for a night out with friends. Quality of the clothing is not expected here but I haven’t had a problem yet. I’ve found a lot of deals and love their clothing. I’ve been to other stores who has the similar look but different tag and my outfit cost me under $ 20. If you’re on a tight budget this is the place to shop!

Ive only gone to the plaza Bonita shimmer.
I love that they have plus size clothing. There aren’t many places and i don’t feel like spending an arm and a leg at Torrid. I feel so happy going there and knowing i can find cute stylish clothes with the same looks as the smaller sizes. There are looks for everyone, work clothes to club. Plus they have cute shoes as well.

This place is the place to go when looking for something cheap but cute to wear for a night out on the town.
Don’t expect quality clothing because it’s not, but what makes this cheap clothing retailer different from the other is that the naked eye cannot detect the clothes is cheap! Bingo!!! Awesome clothes, easy to navigate store. From dresses, tops, jeans and accessories galore they have everything you need.
One thing I love about this store is that they turnover their inventory frequently. I’ve gone twice in a couple of weeks and they’ll have a whole new stock of clothing.
This place is such a must and I’m thankful it’s around!

I love Shimmer. They have another location in the Chula Vista Mall, so I was super excited when they came to Otay Ranch Town Center… close to home! Whatever the occasion, they have what I am looking for. Everything is decently priced and the staff is helpful.

Here we are walking through the mall shopping for something cute to wear and yet again finding disappointment in not being able to fit into «ANYthing» I want to buy — and I’m not even a large girl. Sure, my hips are wide and my badonkadonk can be seen from the moon… but a lot of fun stores are geared towards hipless chicks.
Well… anyway, per usual I was not feeling very happy about the whole shopping situation. My friend called me on my cell phone and during the conversation, he said something to make me stop in my tracks. After hanging up, I glanced around and my eyes landed on some signage with a typo. That always bothers me a little… and when I told who appeared to be the shop owner or at least the manager, she was kind of disappointed. Oh well. Your business looks dumb when there are typos on your signage.
I walk in and oh! Everything is so cute AND affordable. I would say this place is a happy mixture between Anthropologie and H&M. The style is cute, the prices are very reasonable and a size Medium actually fits like a standard size Medium. Thank GOODness.
The total of my receipt was $ 29 for two items, but I didn’t buy anything else simply because I was in a hurry to meet up with my friend.
