Shell Gas Station

Great gas prices and the on-​site car wash options are convenient too. Getting in and out of this location can be a bit tricky at times but it is worth the initial frustration if coming on the weekend or during lunch hours. The car wash is superb and the workers are very nice too!

I really enjoy both the car wash and the oil change shop, I have a supercharged xjl jaguar and a srt jeep, and these people treat them like they are their own, they do all my oil changes on both, and all my car washes, I love them and they are always consistent.

The price just went up from $ 11.99 for an exterior wash and vacuum to $ 16.99. $ 11.99 only gets you a wash now. Seriously…$ 5 to vacuum a car… One of the things I used to love about this place is that they offered a military discount. They no longer offer that on the basic exterior wash, only on the more expensive ones. I will not be coming back.

The guys at the oil change center are welcoming and professional. They’ve never tried to BS me on repairs. I tell them what I need and they just do it. The free car wash with oil change is nice.

The employees have gotten a lot better since it changed from Chevron to Shell. And I’m impressed at the gas prices considering its a Shell, it’s Top Tier gas, and the neighborhood. My favorite station to come to. It’s the meet up spot when my buddies and I are going for a motorcycle ride.

Still the same. It takes them 30min to wipe down a car after a car wash. Employees wipe one car a little, then another, then they come back. Observed one guy wipe my windows 3times. Inefficiency at its best.

I was running out of gas and was in the Chula Vista area so I stopped by here. The prices here were pretty high. Higher than average of what I’ve seen in San Diego. It was almost 15 – 20 cents more than other places. This gets 2 stars because it is pretty pricey here for no reason. There’s other gas stations in the area but I needed gas so I had to stop by here since it was the closest one to me.
I’d recommend going to other gas stations in the area because this gas station seems to have higher prices than others. Not a bad gas station just too pricey for me.

Ok place, gas is expensive. So what, it’s expensive everywhere in Eastlake. Car wash here is a complete joke. Don’t ever go there. Ripoff — takes too long, bad service, and a poor job. Bad trio. And for the convenience store, meh. Good selection of items but why do I always have to wait in a line 10 deep? Why?

Gas is high everywhere. $ 4.15 for V-​Power.
Lines inside the store are alway super long, why because they only open 1 register even if there’s 10 people waiting in line. They need to work on that because folks usually just want to be in and out.

Gas prices are alright, but this review is more about the service than the gas itself. Usually this place isn’t high on my list of favorite gas stations/​food marts, mostly because the employees are sometimes unsociable (if not downright cold).
However, after going on a multiple-​stop mission to get a slushie late at night, my boyfriend & I walked into this place at just after 11 pm. The man behind the counter (whose name was Don I think) not only invited us inside after he was supposed to have closed the doors, but turned the Slush Puppie machine back on for us so we could get our drinks. It’s people like him and service like this that drive me to write a positive review about this place!

Magically, the Chevron turned into a Shell station. But, for all that the outside of it has change, it’s the same old gas station. And for a gas station, it’s remarkably… average. Besides getting gas, I get the occassional lotto ticket here. It’s one of the larger ones in the area, so it isn’t often you have to wait in line for a pump. There’s also a station off to the side where you can put air in your tires.
The car wash rates a 2-​star. I’ve used it 3 times, in the 8 years that I’ve lived here. The lines and wait are long. I stopped coming here because I would see guys drop their drying cloths on the ground, only to pick it up and start wiping cars dry. I cringe at the scratches that the owner of that car is getting.
If you’re unlucky, while waiting to start your car wash process, some guy will walk up and check out the tiny chips in the windshield. Then, he’ll try and convince you to give him your auto insurance information to fix it for free. I always wondered that if they’re going to fix it for free, why do I have to give them my insurance information? No one could actually explain that to me. Well, at least in a way that made sense. The first guy that ever wanted to talk about my windshield, asked me for my phone number and if I was interested in partying downtown. I asked him how old he was. When he told me, I laughed and said I was old enough to be his mom. Flattering, if he thought I was actually that young… but, kinda freaky. Unless he was looking for a sugar momma??? O. o
The only other notable thing about this place was that they now have a USPS Village Post Office. I wonder if this is the USPS’s attempt to meet customer need, if/​when they cut back hours at their actual location a block away?

Car wash sucks. Over priced and long. The workers are unprofessional and rude. I gave it a one star because I had to give it something. Oh, and the auto glass people messed up a Mercedes glass. He made the crack thinner but made a small hole in it. The repair guy argued with the customer and still made the customer pay 25 $ for it. What a rude dude. Also when the customer left, the repair guy was talking crap about the customer in front of OTHEr customers. So unprofessional and my car wasn’t even hand dried fully. Never coming here again.

BTW, I tried to contact someone in management via email about the service issues by using the email address provided on their website. Don’t bother as the email box is full and will not take messages any more. Very consistent with the rest of their management style…
