Steve from Service Master was in charge of the flood repair damage at my home. He went out of his way to make sure every aspect of the job was handled top notch. He understands customer service and doesn’t stop until the job is done to YOUR approval. He follows up. He takes care of the customer and knows what customer service really means. 5 stars.

First contacted this company back in December for a roof leak. They had a subcontractor come out on January 2. I have left three messages, requesting a call back so that I could get the estimate for the repair. I even contacted the subcontractor who called the company also and was told someone would be calling me last week with the proposal. Still nothing. At this point I am done with trying to get someone from the company to call me back so I can PAY them to fix my roof. Don’t bother. I am going with another company who actually returns calls and wants business. Wish I could get that month back that I spent, waiting.

As an insurance agent, restoration needs happen a lot. There isn’t a more trustworthy individual than Dan Miller. I’ve referred Dan to several of my clients and he is punctual, professional and responsive. He goes above and beyond for my clients and that is why I keep using him and would gladly refer him to other individuals looking for restoration services!

Mark at Service Master is fantastic to work with. I refer my clients to Service Master because I know they’ll be taken care of and treated fairly. I don’t have to worry about a thing. My experience from working with Mark has always been top notch. A true professional who knows how to run a business.

We had 2 leaks within a week of each other and each was handled by a different company so we were able to compare both companies at the same time which was a unique situation. We had a terrible experience using Quick Dry and our insurance was billed an extraordinary amount of money, which was just not ethical, in our opinion. In addition, the work was completely substandard. As soon as Service Master came on the scene, things changed dramatically. Our project manager, Steve Wang assured us that things would be completed to our satisfaction and made sure to get our thoughts on all parts of the repairs. The drywall repairs along with some complicated wood repairs were all done really well and when there was something that I thought was not done correctly, Steve was happy to send someone to fix it to my satisfaction. They also dealt with our insurance company and our adjuster told me that he thought the dry out rates were reasonable and not crazy like Quick Dry. Its hard enough when you have a leak and you are not sure whom to choose and how it all works, but it is even more difficult when you choose a company that is shady like Quick Dry. We felt that all of our dealings with Service Master were above board and honest and we felt heard and our home was repaired correctly in a minimum of time. i think that the nicest thing I can say about this company is that they did what they said they would do, in the time frame that they said. I hope they get a lot more business because this is the kind of company that deserves it because they do things the right way.

We had our hot water heater die, and Frank was at our door within 24 hours to clean up the flooding, flooring, mold, etc.
I found him to be diligent, pleasant, and professional. At every turn he told us what was going to happen in advance, and there were never any surprises. When something prevented him from coming in person he checked in by phone before having one of his associates come in person, and I generally felt he went above and beyond the call of duty.
Frank fulfilled every promise he made, did good work, and made an otherwise unpleasant situation tolerable. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Yes you did compensate me for the damage and lost items after many aggressive E mails from you towards myself. My Property Manager had to resort to informing you of legal action if you did not repair the damage your employees caused.
Unbelievable arrogance from you the franchise owner.

The Worst Service Ever!
The HOA insurance company called in ServiceMaster. The drug addict jerk above me left the water running and flooded my condo. Before a claim was accepted they started cutting carpet, ripping holes in the walls and throwing up five fans. I had no idea what was going on, they just took over.
The HOA insurance later denied the claim and the loser above me was in foreclosure. Luckily, I have insurance which covered most of the $ 2500 ServiceMaster charged me. Ridiculous breakdown of prices: fifty dollars to move the fridge (I can move it myself), repeated charges for waste removal (we have five dumpsters) and fifty dollars for each day one of their rusty fans was blowing (I could have bought them new for fifty dollars).
I constantly asked that they did not begin work until a claim went through, but they assured me it would be taken care of. They began searching for mold everywhere — even in the kitchen where no flooding occured. They took samples (chunks) from each wall. I had to pay lab fees I didn’t want separately because the insurance doesn’t cover it. They found a mold spot about the size of a dime under the dishwasher. Completely unrelated, but insurance does not pay for mold and they wanted to cash in. They place a $ 3,000 bid on that clean up. I kicked them out and called in another company that was reasonable.
I still had to pay for new tile, since they ripped it up, new drywall where they cut feet out, new baseboards, mold removal and inspection fees and repair and paint for all the holes. That was $ 6,000 out of my own pocket.
Don’t let them set foot inside your house unless you want it ripped to shreds and then slapped with crazy fees that are flat out unreasonable. The phone service people were rude too. Bottom line: stay away.

These guys saved my life… My upstairs flooded, they were here and working immediately. The project manager Frank was very helpful and informative. I knew exactly what and why they were doing everything. Very professional and very nice. I recommend them highly.

We had a slab leak in our study that also spread to other parts of our ground floor. Frank, our technician, was quick, thorough, and personable. He was very clear in what he was going to be doing — setting up the air movers, dehumidifier, cutting up our walls, etc. He was also easy to reach and would keep in touch to let me know when I could expect him at our house.
I would recommend this company — staff is professional and prices are fair.

In June my upstairs neighbor had a plubming problem that flooded my apartment — there were actually six of us with water damage. Service Master was there right away to rip out the floors and dry out our units to prevent mold and further damage. It took about two months to get the insurance company to agree to the estimates so that the work could begin, but once that happened, Service Master was ready to work, annd got the job done quickly. They carefully packed up all my belongings and stored them, repaired drywall and moldings, replace the flooring, painted, and put everything back in it’s place. James, Scott, and Francesco were my contacts for the dryout and, pack-​out and repair work. They communicated every step of the way, and were very friendly and professional. My place looks great, and I am soooo happy to be going home this weekend!

Recently our neighbor had a water pipe break and majorly flood their dining room floor and walls. We share a wall, so it seeped over to our side.
Well my first experience with ServiceMaster (who was recommended by our condo coverage carrier Liberty Mutual, as a courtesy so we wouldn’t have to seach for a local company to get us dried out) was with James Moore and his assistant Robert.
They pulled back the carpet that night and checked where the moisture was, and all that usual stuff they do. They left humidifiers and carpet dryers. Anyway James Moore and Robert were both really nice, really reassuring, and helped me to realize it wasn’t the end of the world. James stayed in touch over the next few days while I was at work and they came and checked on the progress of the drying.
Once it was dry, we chose to continue using ServiceMaster Absolute and now dealt with Francesco Fiorini who coordinated the reconstruction. (Replacing the toe-​kicks under the kitchen counter, which James had removed to check for moisture during the drying process).
Francesco was really good about communicating when they’d be coming by. He was really apologetic about a delay of a day or two in coming by, which we didn’t care about (no dinner parties planned, and the place by now was as dry as a bone).
His worker (also named Robert, but a different guy than was assisting James Moore) was also really good. He purchased the toe kick wood and stained it and reinstalled it, and also bought the baseboard and painted it. One day when I came home from work Robert was finishing up and Francesco was there supervising and helping him.
We’re really happy with the job and I signed off on the paperwork.
Funny thing, I’m kind of a freaky perfectionist, and AFTER I’d signed off on it, I saw a tiny area where I wish the paint had been cut in a bit better. I left Francesco know, acknowledging that I’d already signed off on it, but asking if there was any paint left.
Francesco had Robert buy another quart of paint (it was all gone) which was color-​matched and left it for me at my door. (Just took me a few minutes to do my perfectionist cutting in with my own little brush).
That was an unusual situation… but I’m full of appreciation that Francesco took steps AFTER I’d signed off to make sure I was a super happy camper!

I have used Service Master when I thought I had a leak in my house and that water was behind my walls. They came out used their camera and found the water and how far it had moved in the walls. They were very professional and answered all my questions. I was able to use a contractor to fix the problem but if I had not called Service Master and known how far the water was I may have had to tear my whole wall down. Thanks to Service Master and they will be the first to call if I have other issues such as this.

Service Master provided me with first rate customer service. They responded to my questions about my grandmother’s vandalized property, and they were able to remove the graffitti and restore the retaining wall behind her home to it’s original condition. Thanks Service Master you are professionals.

Got a call on Monday afternoon from my sister, who had swung by our place to take the dog for a walk. Turns out, a contractor working in the loft above ours clipped a fire suppression sprinkler, flooding that loft, ours, and the two on each side of both. Good times.
Here’s the silver lining– Servicemaster Clean, and in particular, a tattooed caffeine freak named Matt, was on the job before I could race home. For the past three days, he’s led a crew of the most incredible clean up team imaginable through some of the crappiest work conditions imaginable, and he’s done it with a smile.
I don’t wish this type of disaster on anyone, but should you ever run into a similar patch of bad luck, I hope Servicemaster is the company that responds.
