Sephora inside JCPenney

So so dirty. Everything was out of stock. No one greeted us or asked us if we needed help. The gal at the register seemed annoyed the whole time. I’m pretty disappointed.

I have to say that these girls are a bunch of lazy, clueless and dirty employees. I came in for a birthday haul and walked out with 1 thing. All of the little kiosks were empty from Kat Von D to Nars. All 4 of the girls were just standing around chatting and ignoring all of the customers. I’m a bit of a prick so I went up to one of them (knowing how this works) and asked her to get me things that weren’t in the kiosks because they ran out because no one knows how to stock in new merchandise. She runs to the kiosk not believing me and then pulls the bottom drawer where most of their merchandise is hiding that they are to lazy to put out. Funny thing is guess what it’s not there either. Then she goes to the stock room to grab it. I thanked her (because she was awesome and checked somewhere else) but here’s where I get annoyed I tried getting a lipstick and this time the girl that helped me went on a break. So I had to ask this one chick who looks 16. I asked her for stilla Baci and she just looks and goes no sorry it looks like it’s not here. I told her to look in the back she walks away and doesn’t come back. I waited then I went to pay and I saw her chatting at the registers .Let me say this location is not my favorite maybe these girls act like this because of the clientele they get but that’s no excuse I believe these bad reviews. Oh and judging on the cleanliness of the environment I wouldn’t trust these girls to do your makeup unless they sterilize everything in front of you including the brush they use.

Just came back from this store & I came home EMPTY handed. Kvd, Tarte, too faced is why I always go to & it’s always empty. Especially kvd

Came in looking to buy the biggest eyeshadow set they have. I ended up finding an eyeshadow set with city theme compacts and a 5 set of sampler perfumes for the same amount added up. i was helped left and right from Hannah. What a doll face her customer service is one of the best!!! She was very helpful and such an upbeat person. I would of gave 5 stars but i go home open my perumes and noticed about half of them are empty :(no bueno! So just need to go return soon besides that the eyeshadow are great and the perfumes smell good just wish i had more quantity of them!

Don’t waste your time.
This location is even WORSE than the Plaza Bonita one. Incredibly low stock on practically everything, and the testers are either funky/​gross, or missing from the displays altogether. This is why we can’t have nice things.
You’re better off making the trip to the Eastlake/​Otay location, or the Fashion Valley store — both of which are standalone stores and NOT located inside a JC Penney.

This is a bootleg Sephora!!! I’ve been here about 3 times and out of those 3 times not one good experience. The employees are rude, no one greets you or even approaches you to ask if you need help they just stare at you, then when you ask for help they look annoyed. I rather drive a little further to Otay which is my favorite location where the customer service is GREAT and the girls actually know how to do their make-​up.
