Select Staffing

I’ve lived in chula vista over a year and they S U C K. They never help you look for work no matter how many times you call in and say your available. Their application system is a joke. They seem understaffed since the influx of calls to people coming in on appointments are overwhelming. I was there for almost 4 hrs, finally sat down for all of 5 minutes and out the door I left. Empty handed. Called back to find out if the position I applied for was available LIKE I WAS TOLD TO DO AT THE TIME I WAS TOLD TO and low and behold I got no where. I was told at least 4 times to call back in 20 or to call back in an hour. Last hour I was told to call THEY WERE CLOSED! Last year was the same. You call every week to let them know you’re available and nothing. They say we’ll call you when there’s work and nothing. I was desperate enough to go to this wack agency again after being unemployed for a few months and no where agreeing with my school schedule and NOTHING. I sincerely do not recommend this place for anyone who actually needs to work to survive because they’ll leave you to fend for yourself.

I have read the reviews and I have to say I disagree, this office I do have to say is very busy. From the initial process I have been treated very professional, the wait to been seen by an agent is a little long but I had the pleasure to be seen by the manager she was apologetic for the wait and she was pleasant. She was honest helpful in giving advice on my resume which I thought was great I have been to several agencies and not one of those agency took the time to go over and give me advice .
I do highly recommend this company speak to the manager she was great, even though they are busy.

Had so many problems with them regarding not returning calls or even responding when I was already working for them. Whenever I would text the number they provided to find out if I was working the next day they would respond that I was not on the list. When I would immediately respond to the text «what is the waiting time to be contacted for work «I would receive no response and go ignored. Many of my co workers were told they were not on the work list but when they would not report to work the next day they found out they were on the list and this caused them to be eliminated from consideration from the positions.
A fellow co-​worker spoke to a select staff employee and told them that her son was no longer getting called for work and mentioned how other employees did not like how Select Staffing conducted business. She was immediately BLACKMAILED as the employee told her «Tell me who is talking bad about us or I will remove your son and you from the work list» Needless to say that this woman is no longer working there at the company.
When the company would send a request for me to Select, Select would ignore the request or tell them that I was not ready to work yet. More than 5 requests were sent from the company that was hiring Select staffing and requesting me to work. The final request that the HR manager sent to request me went COMPLETELY IGNORED to the fact that the HR manager told me herself that they never got back to her and Manually added me to the work list.
Despite an employee or potential employee showing up for a schedule appointment with them, they would simply tell them that they would contact them later to reschedule because they were so busy. This happened to me and another fellow that was in the waiting area. The other fellow left but I had wasted gas to show up so I told them if I could just drop off the paperwork then so I would not have to drive back to do so. I watched them sit there and laugh and converse when they were suppose to be very busy.

The worst. I think the people that work here are just there to fill up empty office chairs. Full of empty promises. I applied for a specific job and went to fill out all the paperwork. After that I spoke with one of the female employees (I won’t say who) and she told me to come in on the following Monday at noon (this was on a Thursday) because the supervisor for this certain company that was hiring would be bringing several candidates to the facility for a type of group interview. Anyway, come Monday, I drove down to Chula Vista from Lemon Grove only to find out that the interview time and date had been changed to Wednesday at noon. Had to drive all the way down there to find that out. I guess Select staffing forgot how to use a phone. Wednesday rolls around and about 11 am while I’m getting ready for this interview, Select Staffing calls me to tell me the interview is being rescheduled again to a time to be announced. She said she would call me and let me know when. Never heard back from them and that was it. Whatever. I went with a company call Go Staff instead. At least they got me a great job and I’m still working. Forget Select Staffing.
