NR3 Video Productions

Is any one else waiting on a wedding video from NR3? They are in the process of disolving the company and I can’t get an answer on where our video is.
The communication with them has been bizarre, since there are legal reasons that John and Norma can no longer speak. Our wedding was in March and since March «Norma has been editing wedding videos from October of last year».
All the reviews are so good, I’m confused by the strange turn in events.

As good as it gets, doesn’t even begin to cover it! John was beyond professional and accommodating. Our wedding video was beyond anything we could have asked for, and yes get the video highlight if you can swing it. The cinematography, clarity and style was worth every penny. He captured our day perfectly and we have an amazing photo as an added bonus.
If we had to do it all over again If only they did photography we would have paid the extra money and chosen them. Even a year after our wedding we are still marveling at his creativity and his ability to capture the day as it was.

Norma, John and their crew were such a pleasure to work with. They all added to my wedding making it such a memorable one.
They were all so nice and helped get things done during the wedding. I told John that I didn’t have a wedding planner and he told me that I do not need to worry and that if he noticed that we were running short on time with things he would chime in and help. That’s exactly what he did and so did Norma! They were so helpful!
They played an amazing same day edit video during my reception that all of the guests are still talking about. I’m so excited to see the final version of it all!
I’d recommend them to anyone! =)

NR3 provides the BEST videography service; their work is like watching an actual movie trailer vs. your typical wedding videography. Norma and John are both very personable and easy to work with, they capture moments of your wedding beautifully and with such a unique vision. Their artistic ability is truly unmatched.
I almost went without videography because of my budget and seriously would have regretted that decision. My wedding video is my favorite part of the whole wedding process.

I just got married two weeks ago and am now sitting down to finish my vendor write-​ups including, the good, the bad, and the ugly for all you stressed out brides. NR3 is without a doubt the company to go with, they deserve more stars than one can give here. NR3’s work is just incredible and simply unparalleled by any other wedding videos I’ve seen out there. That’s the first way that they will help eliminate stress. You don’t have to worry is my video going to come out okay, will it look as good as the ones posted on their website, will the video capture the best parts of wedding and even those little details that I miss during the day. Answer is yes, yes, and yes, and on top of that, your video will look better than all your friends ‘videos (yep I said that). Now that’s one less thing to worry about because you’re in good hands in that respect. NR3 is very professional, not out there to cheat you, and they actually care you’re happy with your wedding. That leads me to their next unique quality… going above and beyond their call of duty as just the videography company.
I won’t get into the ugliness I encountered with my venue, but I can say that when NR3 became aware of who I was working with, they put my best interest first and gave me a call to give me a warning of the trap that they had seen a couple of brides fall into with this company. They could have sat by and watched me fall into the same trap, after all they’re just there to make a video right? Wrong, they took the initiative to warn me, which at first I admit sent me into panic mode. But, John stayed on the phone with me for a good length of time, suggested how I could avoid falling into the trap, and his advice worked. With his advice, I avoided being charged almost $ 4,000 in hidden charges! Now, I purchased the top package with NR3, but their advice single handedly paid for their services. I can’t say any other vendor helped me actually save money except NR3.
When the day of my wedding came, Norma and her assistants were AMAZING!!! Upon arrival, Norma walked in and gave me a hug. She was warm, so excited and enthusiastic about my wedding, it was like having a friend there taping everything. Like most, we were running behind schedule, and she helped suggest ways to rearrange the schedule, but not in a pushy way. She went with the flow, but always offered helpful tips and was almost guiding the photographer! She let us know that while she would love to get a few more shots in, that we should go mingle at cocktail hour if that’s what we wanted to do, kindly guiding the photographer to let us do our thing. This showed again, they cared about us enjoying our wedding and was looking out for our interests. Looking back on that day, she was more of my day of coordinator than my actual coordinator, go figure. I would suggest she go into coordinating, but she is too crazy talented as a videographer. Needless to say, my same day edit video came out incredible, with the best part being, I never worried about it along the way. Several guests came up to me and complimented it was the best wedding video they had ever seen. We are anxiously awaiting our full-​version video, I have no doubt it will be top notch, and I am so grateful to NR3 for being there for me the whole way through. Thank you John and Norma!

I would not only recommend, I would make sure that friends and loved ones hire Norma and John for their wedding day videography! John and an assistant shot my big day. He’s extremely professional and smart. He had great ideas and is a true master at his craft. He would have ideas that sounded odd at times but we went with it and they turned out amazingly gorgeous! Upon seeing the short video I was blown away I watched it 10 times that day. It’s like a professional Hollywood quality movie. Then when the final video what delivered a couple weeks later (talk about fast) we couldn’t wait to watch it. I was stunned, it was the most amazing thing id ever seen. It let us relive the whole day; a day that seemed to fly by was right there for us captured forever. We are so lucky to have hired NR3 they are so amazing and reasonably priced for the quality they deliver. Hire them!

While we haven’t watched our video yet, we wanted to share out thoughts about how amazing NR3 is. First of all, we have no doubt that our video will be amazing as all of their other work is absolutely high quality and breathtaking and speaks for itself. We wanted to share more about their personalities and how they made us comfortable that day. They are both very easy to get along with and are very engaging. They clearly love what they do and it shows in not only their videos but in their entire approach to their work. On the big day, they worked extremely well with our photographers to capture every moment. At times, we even forgot they were there, which is a sign of a great film crew. They were very professional, easy to work with, and they turned around our videos pretty quickly– definitely way before they had promised them back to us.

My husband and I decided we had a little extra money and therefore made the investment to hire a wedding videographer. I am SO glad we did; it was one of the best wedding decisions we made. John and Norma were the absolute best. We literally just got done watching our wedding video and I could not stop crying. It was more beautiful than I could have ever possibly imagined. John, Norma, and an assistant traveled to our wedding venue in Solvang. They came up the day before to get plenty of scenery shots, which I loved because the area is so gorgeous and they captured the beauty perfectly. I am so grateful that I had John and Norma by my side on the day of our wedding because they helped make it an awesome and perfect day. They are so creative, hardworking, and talented and I have never seen a wedding video that is so artistically stunning. John and Norma captured the love and delicateness of our day so magnificently. I felt so comfortable and so at ease with them that I completely felt like it was just my husband and I alone enjoying our day. NR3 is genuinely the BEST videographer we could have ever hired and I love that we have such an incredible gift to always remember our special day. We have already referred them to all of our engaged friends!!!

Personally I think it only makes sense to take the advice of people who actually used NR3. Heresay does not provide a strong foundation for a review; actual experience does.

I hired John & Norma in May 2012 for my wedding on June 1^st. LAST MINUTE. At first, my wife and I thought since we were spending so much money on our photographer, that a videographer would be overkill and might not fit into the budget. I WAS WRONG! After having dinner with a pair of our newly married friends we quickly changed our minds and decided that there is a certain element that video is able to capture that photography cannot. There are certain moments that video helps you relive forever.
We called several videographers that our venue had recommended, but were not impressed with their price or he quality of their work. As my photographer, Brian Kent @ ABM Photography) pointed out most video teams simply get in the way or simply zoom in and out to create an effect. He gave us John’s number and I couldn’t be happier. John was able to explain what types of cameras and film they used in a very simple manner that I could understand. They have been absolutely amazing from the very start to the finish.
To start they traveled to our venue (5 hours away) a day in advance just to get all they shots around town they needed (without charging me). Then day of the wedding they were polite, consistent, and brought excellent creativity throughout.
It is rare to find such excellence, but I give anyone a full vote of confidence to work with NR3!

I spent a while debating on how to rate this company. Since my whole wedding (destination) was based off Unilocal reviews I wanted to be as helpful as possible. There are really only a handful of good videographers in SD and this is definitely one of them. Its tough sifting through the numerous companies, especially on wedding wire) cause they ALL have 5 stars.
Pros:
— very high quality video, good angles, steady panning
— reasonably priced
— the finished DVD is very professional looking and comes in a nice box.
— friendly
Cons:
— because of «copywrite» issues the highlights video is made with royalty free songs and they give you a DVD with the highlights video with your selected songs. That’s fine but the video is edited to their song choice so my video doesn’t flow nicely (ie the song changes half way through the ceremony)
— during photos with the family I noticed Jon getting irritated with my photographer getting in his way and made a few rude remarks
— we didn’t get the video til 4 months after the wedding. However time wasn’t referenced in our contract so I take partial blame.
— After waiting 4 months, he called to say the video was ready and we could pick it up or he would ship it for a $ 25 fee… After discussion, he ended up delivering the video to our home.
All in all we were happy with the end product.

I was surprised to see a low rating on Unilocal with all the weddings NR3 has filmed there should be more positive reviews.
I personally know a couple of people who have hired NR3 and all of their video & SDE’s have been AMAZING!
I’ve seen other vendors work and nothing compares to NR3. John & Norma have the magic touch.

I can’t imagine hiring anyone else to have filmed our wedding day! I fell in love with NR3’s work through an interoffice email I received that had a highlights video on it. I had never seen a wedding video so well put together! None of the slow, cheesy fade in and out scenes with boring music that I just assumed made it into all wedding videos could be found. They have such a modern edge and film with the most up to date cameras available. The memories of our wedding day were our number one priority, and I can’t express how happy we are with the product that NR3 gave us. Our highlights video has circulated to friends of friends (people we’ve never met) and made them cry! Seriously, the videos on their blog will speak for themselves. The husband/​wife team behind the lens is amazing as well. They are both really friendly and make you feel at ease.

Norma and John were by far my favorite vendor at my wedding back in April. Our wedding was a mini destination. All our family and friends flew in from the East Coast and we lived a few hours away in Los Angeles. This made it tricky when picking vendors from afar, but our wedding planner referred us, and boy did she get brownie point for this reco. Norma and John were very personable and great over the phone and through email. They were sure to respond to all correspondence within 1 – 2 days. On the day of the wedding they hit the ground running in an almost synchronized swimming grace. They knew where to stand so not to disturb me or the people in my room, how to shoot really cool angles, and play with the lighting throughout the night. They were sooooo fast too. They had a trailer within a week. Everyone I showed it to loved it. The recurring comment was that it seemed like it was something out of a movies or an episode of The Hills. Who knew that they could make me and my husband look that good. We’ve already watched the video twice and know that it will be the best keepsake from our wedding day. I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding.

We Love Norma and John! We used them for our wedding 2 years ago (sorry about the late posting). We also recommended them to our friends for their wedding last year. Hands down they were the best! Norma thank you for helping me with my slippers when my feet were killing me on the dance floor. You are as sweet as can be! Thanks Again for the wonderful wedding video!

Our friends had used NR3 for their Surprise Wedding on a Catamaran which set sail to Point Loma and I was blown away by the video which was in Blue Ray HD and was filled with unique camera angles and footage. When I watched the video, it was as if it was a Hollywood Production and it made me want to get married again. You would never be able to tell that the footage was filmed on a rocking boat or that there were all the outside elements which could alter the quality of sound or lighting. So since we were not about to plan another wedding, we did the next step in the right of passage… a Maternity Production. As we expect our 3^rd child, we figured that we would fully document the family in the wonderful city of San Diego.
Norma & John are the husband and wife team that truly works collaboratively to capture true art. Norma called to get a feel for locations and guided me on bringing a change of clothing so that we could have some color contrast in the pictures. We started the morning in Downtown San Diego with our 2 kids, age 5 and age 3, and by lunch, we were done. Some of my favorite pictures were the candid shots that I would have never imagined. I think that it is always challenging to work with toddlers, but they were absolutely fantastic. Our family had a great time all over downtown and end product are moments that captured forever. As I show family & friends the footage, they are blown away by how unique everything looks. Our backdrop were familiar places in Downtown San Diego. Norma & John know the area like the back of their hand and took the most over the top amazing shots. There were times that they were on the ground, running in front of us, running behind us, standing on another floor shooting up, zooming in from far away, standing close up, and the list goes on. Again, some of the best shots, I did not even know they were taken which I think really adds to the natural expression from the kids and family interaction. It really was a fun day and I think the personalities of both John & Norma really made it such a great experience. I honestly uploaded ONE picture on facebook from the day, and had an overload of comments from friends on how amazing the picture is, so you can only imagine once they see the whole day how you can easily be blown away their artistic composition.
If you need maternity or wedding video, or for any important event in your family, they are forward thinking, professional, fun, enthusiastic, artistic, and will delivery a high quality production. In addition, you will love spending the day with them. As a Unilocaler, I usually take tons of pictures of food & restaurants so people can get a feel for the place. Their work speaks for itself. I wish I could upload a ton of pics so you could see how amazing the footage is, but the resolution quality is so high, the files are too big for Unilocal.

When planning a wedding, I believe choosing a Videographer is very important. I had a destination wedding in November in sunny San Diego, California. One of the downsides of planning a wedding far from home is not being able to meet with potential vendors face to face. I was referred to NR3 Video Productions by a friend of mine. Our initial meeting with Norma and John was over the phone. They were very personable, enthusiastic and provided us with a wealth of information. During the planning, we relied highly on email and phone to stay connected. Norma and John stayed on top of every email and were very quick to return our calls when we had a question. We met them for the first time on the day of our wedding. What an amazing couple! They’re love for each other and they’re love for weddings, is definitely shown in their work. When we received our wedding video, we were speechless! I can’t even begin to tell you how many times my husband and I have watched it. They’re creativity and attention to detail made me feel like I was reliving my wedding day all over again. It is no wonder why NR3 Video Productions have constantly been nominated as one of San Diego’s best. Thank you John and Norma for your amazing work!

If you’re getting married or having any special life events, NR3 Video Productions is the company to go to! We initially met them in June 2008 and knew from the 1^st consultation that we had to book them! They are a husband and wife team who are charismatic, charming, and most importantly funny! They are very professional and deliver quality work. I love them to death and they ultimately became part of my family and we are indebted to them for all they have done for us, including outside of the professional light. As far as your videography, it is purely beautiful. We’ve received comments that it was like watching a movie and that people wanted to see more. Their attention to detail is impeccable. We also opted for the Same Day Edit to play at the wedding reception and people were blwon away by how fast Norma edited and also the quality of her work. She captures the beauty out of any occassion and because of her fun loving personality, you feel comfortable. Special moments should be captured and NR3 was a perfect match for us.
