I have been here many times and have always really liked the cupcakes and the customer service. Yesterday though the customer service was not good. It seemed that the girl and guy there were passing the buck to see who would attend to me. These cupcakes were going to be a gift and I was asking questions about their selection and she seemed very rushed and hastily answered my questions. When I was going to pay I asked if they had a sticker with their name to put in box and she said no very quickly and moved on. I hope they speak to these two or they will be losing customers.

Summary: Friendly creative owner, good service, delicious unique cupcakes and pastries, reasonable prices, and good for a special occasion. When we were picking out a cake/dessert for our wedding we came across this place, along with 6 others vendors. This was the last place we tried, and ended up being the place we chose. Everything was a good experience from start to finish, and here is my story… We scheduled a time to taste their cupcakes, on the phone we gave some preferences in flavors and some we wanted to try. When we showed up we were greeted by the owner(Hortensia). She offered us water and brought out a platter of cupcakes. And our tasting began. We told her we were having an early brunch theme wedding, we wanted donuts and something similar. Hortensia came up with great ideas, and was very passionate about helping and gave creative ideas. The cupcakes tasted amazing, and her ideas for the cake and cupcakes were different, affordable, and were impressive. So we decided, Love Cupcake Café would do our wedding cake & cupcakes. On our wedding day the cake and cupcakes were set up beautifully! The cake(shaped like a big donut) was delicious, the cupcakes with mini donuts on top were a hit, and the anniversary cake we ordered the following year was no less than amazing! Great flavors, moist, and perfect amount of sweetness in every bite. I was very happy with my experienced and would recommend this place to anyone! =)

The tres leches cake was, moist, sweet, and simply delicious. I asked the young lady to remove all the frosting, it was just way too much. Great customer service though!

The employee named ANNA is the absolute RUDEST person I’ve encountered so far. I have given this place hundred and hundreds of Dollars in business from ordering in the past and I will NEVER order or do business with them. I sincerely regret giving this company any of my money to be treated so badly in response. I simply had a few questions and she continued to become more and more rude/angry with me For asking questions. After I said, you don’t have to be rude to me for asking questions, she responded even more rude by speaking to me in condescending“ohhhh poor you” tone of voice. No apologies, nothing. I was asking if there was away to make a small decoration on a simple cupcake. First she says yes, then she says no. So I began to ask why?(I originally asked for it on 2 cupcakes then asked if I did one when the decorator came in if it would be faster) her answer was no, and then said can’t do it at all. It was back and forth and I totally can understand if a business gets busy and cant take a custom order on short notice, but as a business owner myself, I would never respond to a customer with an attitude for an order I couldn’t fulfill. A simple, «I’m so sorry, we are just too busy and can’t take a custom order today». Anything like that. I will continue to report this to the manager as well as the better business bureau. In an economy where so many people needs jobs, someone so arrogant, careless and RUDE should not be privileged enough to have one.

I really enjoy their cupcakes very pretty and well made delicious cupcakes. My favorite cupcake is chocolate flavor. I love it so girly and pink and cute and the owner very friendly and nice. Best cupcakes around. Perfect spot for a cup of coffee.

Very hit or miss with this place. Read my previous reviews. But at this visit, I had their chocolate chip cookie. I’m a total Cookie Monster, and I have to say it was delicious. Chewy and chunky. Yum! My kid had their chocolate cupcake. The frosting was rich and yummy. But the cake had a weird taste… The girl behind the counter was helpful. The place still has kind of a weird smell to it, but it’s very cute.

Very unpleasant customer service. My mother purchased a smash cake for my daughters first birthday party. She paid over the phone and the cake was prepared on time. The smash cake looked good when we picked it up and even when we got it home. Unfortunately, the cake started to tilt after a few hours of sitting not he table. We thought it might have just settled a little so we didn’t worry too much about it. The cakes shape continued to tilt and deform. We called the Love Cupcake Café to ask if they would be able to fix it in time for the party on the following day. The employee that answered the phone was extremely rude and accused my mother of throwing the cake in the back seat of the car. My mother repeatedly told the employee that she had not left the cake unattended not he drive home. In fact, my wife had held the cake on the entire ride home. After all, it was my daughters first birthday cake. The employee reluctantly agreed to fix the cake on the day of the party. We took the cake back and again, my mother was accused of throwing the cake around. The pictures attached to this review are the same pictures we sent to Love Cupcake Café. The pictures clearly show that the cake was not thrown around, it shows that the cake was not prepared correctly. We understand that mistakes happen, that is not the issue here. The café was rude, condescending, and reluctant to fix their product. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the café did fix the cake. We had a terrible customer service experience and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

I’ve had my fair share of cupcakes(traveling the globe) and these were just ok. Nothing amazing, they look delicious but they fell flat. I’ll keep trying other ones and at different times of the day to see if it the same but for now they stay with 3 stars because the presentation is nice. The bakery is very cute as well. Regarding the flavor I had tres leche, salted caramel, and choc peanut butter. They all tasted the same to me, nothing that made each one special or delicious.

I bought a German chocolate cupcake. It was quite good. Very decadent. It took a moment to be attended, as there was only one person behind the counter at the time(and there was a three-person group head of me). I’m happy for the owners to have found a food niche. Can’t wait to try other goodies soon.

I was pleasantly surprised by this bakery. I enjoyed that my cupcakes weren’t overly sweet. I’m not a cake expert but I liked the texture. I got the flan and salted caramel flavors. I only tried the flan flavor so far, it was good. It comes with a flan filling in the middle. I just wish the cake base was vanilla rather than chocolate. I think that would compliment the flan better. Great cupcakes tho. I’ll be back.

Very nice and large cupcakes. They usually have a special going and this is a nice place to get a special dessert for a birthday or anniversary. There’s a small place to sit inside and also a patio area outside. They have a good selection of flavors

Tried the Red Velvet, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Strawberry, and Pineapple Upside Down cupcakes & the Vanilla Macaroon. Definitely not impressed. The cupcakes were very dry. Not very savory at all. There are a great variety of flavors but the quality in taste was lacking. They also have teas and coffee. I love the fact that they had Pumpkin Spice Lattes even though they were out of season but the quality was also lacking. The staff was helpful and courteous but thats about the only thing they had going for em.

I had friends check into the café and I have been wanting to try it. I bought a Groupon deal for half a dozen. I was pleasantly greeted by the guy behind the counter(I think his name was Nebil). I asked for his recommendations and had him box up 2 in each box since I didn’t want to eat them all by myself(tempting). I accidentally dropped one of the boxes, ruining the cupcakes. Nebil was kind enough to replace them. He offered great service and the cupcakes were tasty for a sweet-tooth(I did try a small piece from two of them last night while they were still fresh)… This is a must try for those who are looking for something sweet!

My husband, son, and I decided to visit after eating at the Chinese place across the way. First impression upon walking in was the place was cute. Unfortunately, upon looking at the cases, the impression wasn’t as good. The cases are too big for the few items on display. The place is open from 10:00 to 9:00. We visited around 6:00. The displays looked like it was the end of the evening. I think they need to hire a professional designer to coach them on their displays. Anyway, we walked in and a girl in the back looked at us and said Hi. She wasn’t particularly friendly but was helpful. We ended up getting a rainbow cupcake, the hummingbird cupcake, and the tres leches cupcake. My son liked his rainbow cupcake. The hummingbird cupcake was moist and had a good banana flavor. I was disappointed I couldn’t taste the pineapple or coconut. The frosting was cream cheese and was tasty but it had been sitting, so I could feel the frosting had hardened a bit. My husband’s tres leches cupcake was definitely moist. When he peeled off the cupcake liner, we could see that the cupcake had been soaked. He enjoyed it. Overall, we enjoyed the cupcakes. The place just needs to spruce up a bit and work on customer service. Will I visit again? Probably.

First, this place needs a major face lift and a cleaning crew. I’m not one to judge a book by its cover. just an observation. I was not greeted when I walked in but made eye contact with the girl that was working. She continued a conversation with someone in the back and came out a few minutes later. Their cupcakes did not look extremely appealing.(I worked at a bakery so I always expect something good when walking into one.) They only had 16 cupcakes on display out of 37 and those were the only ones available. I took a look at their small selection of pastries and tarts and yet again. Not so appealing. The quiche looked dried out and was actually pulling from the crust. The fruit tart looked dried up. The fruit was definitely going bad. Annnnnd last but not least, I bought a Banana Nutella cupcake.(I’m a banana freak!) I rated 2 starts ONLY because the cake was GREAT! Moist, dense, and very soft! It came with a buttercream frosting that I wasn’t pleased with at all! I’ve had better buttercream. And the filling was supposed to be Nutella? But it just tasted like a chocolate buttercream. My personal opinion — I won’t come here again and it definitely was not worth $ 3.75. Take your money and go somewhere like Sprinkles!

Cute café :3 they have a few tables inside and a couch in the back. My friends and I bought the dolce de leche cupcake, strawberry white chocolate cheese cake, and a s’mores cupcake sundae. The first two were DELICIOUS. The dolce de leche was soft and moist and the whipped cream/icing on top was great! It wasn’t too sweat where it overpowered the cupcake(-^ w^) and once it touched your tongue it left like a nice, airy, fluffy texture that melted in your mouth. Same with the cheesecake, though I wasn’t a big fan of the s’mores sundae. The cupcake was a bit dry and the icing had an interesting texture. It tasted and felt like marshmallows, which was understandable considering the flavor, but it left a film like texture at the end. However, I enjoyed my overall experience. The cashier seemed kinda mellow and out of it but he was chill and took care of us :3 I would definitely recommend or bring my friends to this place!

We frequent Love Cupcake Café regularly. The Cupcakes are amazing in so many different ways. The tastes are different for each one, which is great to have such a wide selection of options available. The size of them is huge. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. But…the most beautiful thing about Love Cupcake Café, is by far, the owner, Hortencia. I met Hortencia over a year ago. We stopped in as a family to try the cupcakes out one day. My family and I regularly donate our time with an organization called Urban Street Angels, where we feed the homeless. On a whim, I decided to ask Hortencia if she would ever be interested in donating cupcakes for these outings. She instantly said yes, and has been donating ever since. The smiles that are given to us by the homeless people who are receiving this donation is amazing. A little bit of sugar goes a long way. Hortencia, THANKYOU for being amazing!
