First time ordering from this place& it was delicious! Thought it might not be as great as dining in since I ordered delivery but I was wrong. Their Thai tea is one of the best I’ve tried as well. Will definitely order from here again!

My favorite place for Pad Thai and more. My wife and I have been ordering food from Krua Thai for over a year now and their food has constantly been outstanding. The wicked one-two punch is that they deliver in my area, too. The staff is courteous and the cook is an angel. I’ve tried about 6 other Thai restaurants in San Diego and Krua Thai wins especially in the Pad Thai category, hands down. My suggestion is Beef Pad Thai with or without veggies then as spicy as you want it! Once again, I love their Pad Thai primarily because of the great flavorly and how it’s the least oily of all the San Diego Thai restaurants I’ve tried.

Very tasty red curry… a medium spice level is very spicy, i was surprised, im glad i didnt choose spicy… i ordered delivery and they were on time… chicken pad thai is also good but they need to add some peanuts and add a lime wedge…

So happy to have discovered this place! I enjoyed the pinapple rice and green curry. Spicy levels were hotter than expected but overall great experience.

The tom kah soup was too sweet for me and only had tomatoes and onion, which the menu states but I had a note to add veggies, which is usually standard in that. The spring rolls weren’t rolled tight and just kinda fell apart and had thick chucks of tofu. Thinner slices and tighter rolls. I didn’t like the yellow curry either, it was really soupy. Needs to be thicker, in my opinion.

Well I gave it 2 stars cause of the way the cook pulled the egg rolls out the freezer wow I could’ve did it myself.

Very small(six tables). Took a little while to get our food but was worth the wait. Would highly recommend we will be back but probably doing take out. Staff was very friendly, lots of smiles. Parking can be a problem as there are only 6 spaces(1 handicap, 5 regular) and there are 4 businesses.

Great food and boba tea. The spicy basil tofu dish was very tasty. Great friendly service too. Note: parking is very limited, so you may need to take rights and go around the block once or twice(or maybe there are better places to park nearby that I don’t know about). Not sure if the A/C works; it was quite warm, but they had a fan pointed on us that made it comfortable enough.

Ordered a papaya salad here and thought it was so delicious and tasted just like the version I ate in Thailand. The mild is still a bit spicy so be mindful of that when you choose your spice level. This restaurant is close to my school so I often stop by on break for dinner. Only downside is there are not that many tables and barely any parking. I recommend to go ordering and just park on the street.

Grilled strip pork is amazing. Really juicy with a lot of flavor. I also like to order the garlic wings with papaya salad. If you ask for the E-San style papaya, you’ll have baby crab legs thrown in! Oh, annnnd their Thai tea and Thai coffee are only $ 2. My only suggestions are to order take out on a hot day, and park on the streets instead of their parking lot.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile and since it was Friday night and my boyfriend and I just wanted to stay close to home, Krua Thai it was! Mom ‘n pop shop on Broadway in CV. Weren’t greeted right away even the kid server was sitting at the table right in front of us. THAT kind of mom ‘n pop shop… Anyways, eventually got seated. Had to ask a couple of times for utensils for the both of us… He eventually gave me a serving spoon and serving fork to eat with and then didn’t bring my boyfriend anything. Haha. Nice kid, but … C’mon. As for the food, we ordered shrimp spring rolls, tofu tom yum, shrimp pad Thai and pad Cha(seafood platter). Spring rolls were good… but it was haphazardly but together … Most in-like roll I’ve had. Ha. I wish they put a little more shrimp per spring roll as opposed to just one. Tofu Tom yum was DELICIOUS. Spicy and so good. Pad Thai was delicious … Pad Cha though… I didn’t particularly enjoy the way it was cooked and the seasoning. My bf and I suspect that particular entrée was made with frozen seafood too The cook came out to apologize for the amount of time it took to make the pad Cha. She was sweet and smiley. Idk the people were good… Just could be a little better overall.

More Please!!! Finally found an authentic Thai Restaurant in the Southbay. Reminds me alot of the restaurants in Thailand. I went in around 3:30 and the place was empty. I was greeted and handed a menu right away. The owner/chef converse with me and told me she opened the restaurant 1 year ago which was is PLUS for me [I love supporting small business owners]!!! I have a feeling that they’ll stay in business for many more years to come. Keep in mind that this is a hole in the wall restaurant; nothing too fancy, casual dinning, friendly service, affordable, and DELICIOUS! I tried the Crab Noodles and Thai-Ee-San Papaya Salad for lunch. OH-myyyy-Goodness, it was soooooo GOOooOooood! AROI(Delicious)!!! I dare you to try it! ;)

Quick service and tasty dishes! This place is good for small groups. feels like a family owned business. We ordered a 2 for pad thai and 0 for the chicken fried rice. Yeah I know, pretty boring but it wasn’t bad at all! Parking was not an issue, but if it was during a lunch rush. maybe as there are only 6 available spots, but there are plenty of street parking. They don’t serve beer or any alcoholic beverages. Our server did offer for us to BYOB from the liquor store next door, lol. Bottom line, we’d eat here again! :-)

If driving southbound on Broadway, be mindful that the parking design goes northbound. Enter from southernmost entrance. Krua Thai appears to be a small family owned place. Good for small groups or grabbing things to go. They’re rating system for spicy is 1 – 10, so there’s plenty of room to play with. Ordered the cashew nut chicken at spicy level 5, to be safe(It had a little kick to it, but nothing to make you sweat. I’ll try a 7 level next time). Spices and sauces were spot-on, not to salty like some other places I’ve been.

Went here for lunch. I had the pad Thai with chicken. Noodles were soft but chicken seemed dry. The spice level was hot for mild. That sure cleared up my congestion. Lol! I also tried the egg rolls which had a great crunch with noodles inside. The service was great by the lady working here. The place is really small & parking is small so be prepared to park on the street if there’s no parking. Great food & will return to try other stuff on the menu.

They Delivered!!! We’re 8 miles away, but called during lunch /dinner down time and had to order a minimum of $ 30 and a small delivery charge — but they brought the food TOUS. I know most people have«real lives» where they can easily leave their home and do pick up… or(gasp) actually go eat at a restaurant. Unfortunately my life doesn’t usually allow for that luxury. So it was a great surprise to find a thai place that could bring the food to us. We ordered a lot — which you have to do to hit $ 30 — Yellow curry, Panang Curry, Banana Lumpia things, drunken noodles, chicken larb, eggrolls and the garlic wings. The food was hot and it was delicious. I feel like I totally scored today and now have enough time to actually shower. :) If you’re looking for an alternative to pizza delivery — or just want to eat great Thai food, I’d check this place out. I’ll be calling again… and again… and again… ps: The ONLY reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I told them I would need the driver to bring enough change for $ 100 bill and they promised to do that. They brought $ 10. I don’t mind paying a decent tip — but $ 30 was a little excessive. Luckily my kid had enough smaller bills to pay for it.

So this place. Came here bc of the good reviews. It’s a very small place, you might miss it, it’s next to a barber shop. Limited seating, only a few small tables. We walked in and were greeted right away, very friendly. 5 stars for the food. I ordered fresh spring rolls that were obviously made to order bc the wrapper and veggies were all so fresh. Their beef pad see ew and pad thai both had awesome texture and taste. A good serving too. we also ordered their curry puff, flaky and flavorful… And their pineapple fried rice(minus the pineapple) had a great curry flavor. So yes, their food is amazeBalls! Unfortunately, I have to –1 star for presentation. My spring rolls were served on a glass plate. Our cups were glass. But the food was served on paper plates. 2 different kinds of paper plates. Food in previous pics were also all on glass, not paper plates. And earlier pics show tablecloths covering the tables and placemats, both not there now. Also, the bathroom is in a closet like space. Our lunch orders also didn’t come with salad, soup, egg rolls, like I thought It would(bc it was indicated on the menu)… But I’m willing to overlook it all bc the food really was good… When leaving, the lady that prepared our food was really interested in knowing if we enjoyed our food and seemed to really value our opinion, which I appreciate. And the food really is unexpectedly good! Prices are also slightly cheaper than other thai places I’ve tried. I will definitely come back for more… But maybe I’ll just do takeout. They have«happy hour» tues-fri for lunch. Yum!

This little place with its little kitchen, serves up some fine Thai food. I had dinner and ordered Pad Thai with chicken at a wimpy heat level a number 3 and an appetizer of fried calamari( ). The fried calamari had a very crispy light brown breading which was well prepared and lightly seasoned( ). It probably could of used a little more seasoning, but it was still very good. Inside, the calamari was well cooked, tender, and with a hint of sweetness( ). It went very well with the house sweet and sour sauce. The Pad Thai looked very nice and was light and flavorful( ). The rice noodles were very nice and the chicken tender with great flavor. I liked that they offer the lemon wedge on the side because after a few squeezes, it really helps enhance the flavor profile of the over dish, including the chicken( ). As common place for this dish, the peanuts added great texture, not to mention that nice nutty flavor( ). This Pad Thai was lighter than I have experience, but lighter in a very good way. The service via a young lady was very pleasant. The cook and owner is a very nice lady as well. She was interested to know how I liked my meal and such. Well I did, and this place is a great addition to the list of Thai places around town.
