I’ve been going to this optometrist office for over five years. Each year, I receive quality service from the doctor as well as the front desk staff. The staff are friendly, book my appointment quickly, and I am always seen on time. The options of glass frames is excellent. They offer low end as well as high end frames. I’ve never been disappointed with my glasses. The location is also convenient if you park in the back of the mall.

When I went to Dr Kim, I thought he was going to be just like all the other drs that I visit. Always in a hurry, telling you that you ask a lot of questions and maybe answering one. But to my surprise… he not only listened and answered all of my concerns, he put my mind at ease when he said, if you have any other questions, feel free to call me. He is not your average run of the mill dr. HE CARES. I was really impressed and at my age (68) he was not doing it to get me out of his office and go to the next patient. He really made sure I understood the answer to my questions. Yes! I recommend him to anyone who has concerns about theirs eyes. He takes time and is concerned with you. He was with me and I am sure he did this out his genuine concern for my health. GREAT JOB DR KIM!!! I am for real, I hate cameras. One day I will take a pic, but for now, know that I am real.

I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! My daughter needed an eye exam here at this optometrist location in Chula Vista as this location was convenient as I live in Chula Vista. I called multiple optometrist in the area but we’re booked until February. This optometrist got me in an less then 3 days. I was very pleased with that and the fact that they are down the street from me was a plus. We checked in and were called back in 5 minutes. The exam took about 10 – 15 minutes and luckily my daughter who is 6 does not need glasses. She will have an other eye exam in 2 years and we shall see if she needs them then. She will be coming here again too. The doctor was very nice and informative. Overall great experience and quick appointment.

Moving from Houston I had to find an O. D for my son rather fast. I called around to many offices and I can honestly say this place was the only one that the receptionist didn’t sound ugly nor mean. She actually sounded like she had sense in her head… I had an appointment set up for the same week. I took my son for his appointment which was pleasant. We were called in on time. The doctor was very nice and kind. He took his time with my son, asked him the questions and later asked me for any concerns I may have had. There are no restrooms so we had to walk into Burligton Coat and Factory. The receptionist was applying make up in front of patients, unattending the front desk which to me wasn’t so professionable. But I guess…

It may be a little hidden but this eye doctor is great. I gave five stars because I had no problem making an appointment, the eye exam was less than 10 minutes, and my glasses came in less than a week & I love em!
Update– I got my glasses here a couple months ago and they already have a HUGE scratch on the left side, now I’ve had other frames for YEARS without this big of a scratch (only tiny ones, AND without a «protective» lens) and i’ve dropped them far worse and quite a few times, I dropped my new pair accidentally on my floor but I never thought the scratch would be this big. Regardless if you’re purchasing glasses here make sure you are extra extra careful with your lens.

How nice to get an eye doctor appointment on a Saturday. Why has no one Unilocaled about this place? Today was my 3^rd year in a row for eye exam. The place is very well taken care of, and it’s a family business. The doctors who have examined my eyes have been thorough, pretty quick, and close to the appointment time I set.
I have purchased frames here, and when I questioned the alignment of the lens, Barry sent it right back to the manufacturer. The lens was off by an acceptable amount by industry standards, but not close enough for me, and thankfully not close enough for Barry. He insisted that the lab re-​do my lens, and I was very satisfied with the outcome.
They always bill my insurance, and all I pay is a copay. They have the same front desk staff year after year, and it’s nice to be helped by these ladies who know their jobs well.
