Furniture and Mattress Warehouse

Went to Sleep Train first to buy a bunky board for our new California Eastern King. Sleep train quoated me $ 520. Not a chance. I stopped by Furniture and Mattress Warehouse in Miramar on the way home and they had the same product for $ 150. Done and done. Abel was a great help and gave me an extra 10% just because he could. Great team and product is working out Perfectly! Thank you much!

We went to the Miramar store and Eddy was wonderful! He was so helpful and made our shopping experience so easy. We found exactly the what we were looking for and at great prices. The dining room table and chairs are well made and assembled very easily and the TV console is sturdy and beautiful. It was in our home that evening. I would definitely recommend this store to friends.

The delivery people are extremely rude and LAZY!!! We bought a bed and had it delivered and set up. First of all the delivery people called and said they would arrive within 30 minutes. They showed up 2 hours later! Then the delivery guy only took some of the wrapping off of the bed. When I saw that he had left some on, I asked him to remove the rest. He said I can just pull it off. I then told him, «but isn’t that your job?» He didn’t respond and just left. The wrapping on the knobs was on very tight and very hard for me to remove. I should not of had to do this myself. With so many furniture stores to choose from, I will not be back to this one. Everyone from the salesperson to the deliverymen should have excellent customer service, and that was not the case here!

We purchased a dinette set that was advertised on a flyer we had received. The service was great, but we had a problem with two of the chairs soon after. We had to request for a new chair. We had to go pick it up. Next time we will stick to Jeromes. Every piece of furniture we have bought from Jerome’s has withstood the test of time! Jerome’s may be a little pricier than Furniture and Mattress Warehouse but sometimes you get what you pay for!

Great customer service from Ernesto. We first came here last year & purchased a sectional couch. Now, we needed bunk beds, and after looking around this place had the best deal. We got bunk beds & mattresses and a great financing deal. They delivered the next day and were quick to unload and put together. They delivery men called & arrived within delivery window and were friendly. Check out their location & if you can’t find what you’re looking for then ask to see their catalog. So far, their furniture has been great and still looking good even with little ones at home.

Excellent customer service. They were both very helpful along with the manager. Even delivered on Sunday when another place I went to wouldn’t. Very satisfied.

I do not like to write reviews, but I just can’t let someone else go through what we did.
We went to Furnitureandmattress store on Saturday to shop for our dining table. We had purchased a dining set and a coffee table, the delivery was scheduled for the same day.
When the truck had arrived (not a company truck, a dirty little Toyota pick up truck) the furniture was all wrapped in a dirty blankets, all assembled already and without any cover that represent that it is new.
Three items had been damaged a table leg, a leaf and a coffee table glass top. Guys promised that all will be replaced on Monday between 4 – 6. We had missed our meeting that we had because they did not show up on a scheduled time between 4PM-​6PM. I had to call the warehouse and ask a manager, what the problem is. He said «they are running late»
When they arrived, I was shocked, the items that they brought to replace the damaged ones, had been even more scratched that the original ones. We had told them that do not want to accept it, since we paid for the brand new furniture not garage sale, and btw, all came opened again, the glass top for coffee table not only had scratches, but had tons of fingerprints, that looked just tacky.
The response was «we came twice already and unable to re-​deliver it again» they took off without even confirming we ok accepting it, which we did not. This is the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing such expensive items as furniture.
I’ll be contacting the store manager again, to see what’s next…

My wife and I were very fortunate to have made our choice in furniture here. The customer service was exceptional! We really enjoyed our time spent with Victor and Wendy, they were very professional and assisted us with all of our needs.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

The prices were almost as great as the customer service. Financing was made easy. I am overall please with my purchase.

My sister was so happy with the purchase but when she had an emergency and want to change the delivery date, the werehouse manager wants to charge her another $ 50., she end up calling me to open the door for them. I have to cancel my prior appointment just to go open the door for them. This manager does not know what emergency means. 3 star for The guy who helped my sister but 0 star for the werehouse manager.

What follows is a cautionary tale. We went here to buy a $ 199 futon that we saw in a circular. We paid for it at the Broadway store, but were directed to the warehouse to pick it up. At the warehouse, the SO and a guy in the back commenced to tying the futon in the back of his light truck. At some point, the SO raised the concern of the futon catching the wind, and was told it was fine. «I defer to your superior knowledge of physics, my good sir» he said, while tipping his bowler hat. (He doesn’t really talk like that. Wouldn’t it be funny if he did, though?)
Of course, as soon as we got on the 5 North and reached almost-​cruising speed, the futon did an acrobatic flip and we were obliged to drag it behind until we could safely stop.
Well, being the consumer and assuming that they would help us out, I suggested we go back. When I told the guy what happened, he said «your problem. you assumed all liability when you paid for it»
But…but…
Enter Rick, who the 2 stars are for. Savvily recognizing that any customer represents a potential return customer, and that s**t happens, he offered to see what he could do.
Long story short, I got a great deal on a dresser that I didn’t need, and our futon has «character.»
Caveat emptor, would-​be-​Chula Vista-​futon-​purchasers.

Do yourself a favor and just stay away from this place. Went here a couple of weeks back with the goal of purchasing a new dresser, mirror, and bookcase, but was immediately turned off by how unprofessional the staff was when I walked in. No greeting whatsoever, no asking whether or not I need help finding anything – the man and woman who were there that day were just too busy chatting it up to mind a customer that just walked in. So after browsing their really lousy collection, I ended up leaving and headed straight to Jerome’s – where I was immediately greeted by an associate and asked if I wanted anything to drink. I ended up buying the furniture that I planned there. The prices here maybe cheaper, but I guess that reflects on their customer service as well. Like I told a friend, I don’t mind spending more if I would get the amiable customer service that was SORELY lacking from this place.

I am so happy with my purchase from the Chula Vista location. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and professional. They informed me on several financing options and helped me figure out what would work best for me. I highly recommend this store.

Worst customer service ever ! They charged me for delivery even is not delivered to me. They will talk in Spanish when they know you don’t understand it even the store manager. Sale person lie about the products. Cashiers are not helpful at all ! Very rude. Very bad quality products.

The store had the items they advertise online — a big plus. I bought a click-​clack futon and storage bench for the family room. These items arrived within the time-​frame I was given. The salesperson and deliverers were great!

I bought a mattress at their outlet place and got a really great mattress. Service was awesome. I think the sales rep the day I came in was David or Daniel (?). He was really helpful and accommodating and friendly. As far as I’m concerned the outlet is five stars.
Today I went to their main store where I was greeted by this guy who was sitting at back entrance. He wasn’t very amiable… greeting customer seemed like a chore for him; he just mumbled it while he was on the phone. Customer care is not important these days. I bought a bed frame and a dresser. Victor, the sales rep, asked me how we found out about this store and I told him about my experience at the outlet. So he acknowledged that I’m a repeat customer, but he still charged me delivery fee. Hmmmm… thanks. I guess having loyal customers also mean nothing these days. So I must give them just a below average score because they’re a below average store: the kind that doesn’t really value their customers. Oh well.

Me and the wife went here just to look. .. Came out with a awesome goose down sectional about $ 400.00 less than the original price w/​4 big decorating pillows. This couch is not even selling anywhere in California at this price and look. Got an Ashley Ottoman about $ 100.00 less than any competitors in San Diego and an awesome rug to go with it all. We also got an awesome Marble Table with 6 chairs. Price total out $ 2,500.00 financing with an awesome warranty on each item for the same price 80 $ coverage for all items that’s it .I owe all this to ABEL. The man knows furniture and mattresses and gets you to what YOU are looking for. NO GIMMICKS, NO LIES, NO NONSENSE. The shipping was kinda late only because there were orders ahead of us no big deal those 3 guys brought the stuff in and assembled it in 10 minutes SAME DAY Upon purchase EXACTLY how they promised! Me and the wife just went there yesterday to get a king size mattress. Word of advice check this place out and talk to ABEL ONLY. He will hook you up. I researched alot places Mor, Ikea, Jeromes etc. Same items would have cost a whole lot more or poor quality and self assembly and delivery. Don’t accept any POOR reviews other people put on here they’re lost and not wise. Be wise go to this place and check it out, even if it’s just to go «look» :)

My husband and I bought a couch for our apartment here, and we have no complaints whatsoever. We saw an add in the Penny Saver, went over to the store, found the couch, and 10 minutes later we were handing over $ 60 and signing for our couch. We were suspicious when we heard him ask the warehouse workers (in Spanish) if they could get the couch we wanted over the border before 9pm, but decided to risk it! We both thought they wouldn’t get there til at least 9, especially with border crossing waits, but they called at 7:10 saying they were 10 minutes away, and they really were. They showed up, brought the couch and ottoman up to our apartment, we paid them the remainder of the price & delivery fee, and boom it was done. We totally love our couch. Super comfy. Ya it may not be the highest quality of couches, but for what we paid for it, we are STOKED.
Advice: bring cash!

This place is UNBELIEVABLY HORRID!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. If I wasn’t 8 ½ months pregnant and didn’t spend three days WAITING on a piece of furniture (sectional and an area rug) and wasn’t tired to go anywhere else then I so would go to a different place. They are CROOKS by making me pay for delivery charges twice when NOTHING was even delivered the first time around. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING AT ALL. I first went to the Chula Vista Showroom and the sales rep name Victor promised «same day deliver» got approved on a finance and I come back and he tells me no they can’t do it the same day. Like whaaaaaaaaat?!! Then he tries to blame the situation on me cause I had to leave for 20 minutes to pick up my 8 year old from school. So I send my husband to the Kearny Mesa location and so delivery was set up for yesterday between 5 – 7 and guess what? No rug. Wrong couch at 7:35PM. I ask to speak to the sales representative name John who told me I’ll be charged for another delivery charge!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I will seriously report to BBB. I don’t think this place should be doing business anymore. THEY TRY TO SELL SOMETHING THEY CAN’T PROVIDE. SO THEY RESCHEDULE DELIVERY FOR TODAY BETWEEN 5 – 8 NOW I CALL TO CHECK ON MY DELIVERY AND TELL THEY I SHOULD BE WAITING UNTIL 8 BECAUSE MY DELIVER WILL MOST LIKELY BE AROUND 8 PM. So thanks for the WORSE service I hope you’re reading this and I wish I can speak with the owner. P. S. Speaking to the store manager Rolando did not HELP at all. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!
