Really nice group. They have good prices, and lots of selection. You usually have to wait a little past your appointment time. But I love going here!

Most painful fill I’ve ever had! And on top of it all they look terrible. I’ve been getting my nails done for 20 years and never had I experienced anything like this. I asked for medium pink and white and she argued with me, then I asked for stiletto and she gave me rounded, I was stabbed under the nail with the pointed drill, then she ended up having to paint on the white tips because they were so poorly done. I know getting a fill is not always pain free but I’ve never had to scream out load, several times, before. Now I have to find someone to fix this mess and ended up paying twice as much. Maybe if she slowed down and not tried to text people during it would have turned out better. Not happy

This is my go to nail spot, I absolutely love how Daisy takes her time doing my nails & always comes out really pretty! Really cheap & all other staff do a great job. I love how they have a wide variety of gel colors on the wall:)

Been going to this place since I was a young kid. I use to always go see Yenny but as I have gotten older I fit better with Lee. They are both great and do well and treat you nice. Lee has done every design I’ve asked and also recommended ideas to me. I can’t complain about this place.

I’ve been here twice and the first time the lady did my nails decent and they were pretty affordable. The second time I didn’t even get my nails done because the second I walked in they were packed. I had no problem waiting, however, a lady shouted at me to come back later because they’re too busy for me. Extremely rude. That’s a quick way to lose business.

I’m always in the search for a good nail shop in my area. I went in with pictures of the nails I wanted and Yenny did an amazing job. There just a little too long, but the design is awesome. I wanted to wait a week to post to see how my nails would do. I highly recommend this place& Yenny if you have a picture of what you want she can most likely do it :) not to mention how nice she was. I can’t wait to go back for a different design :) also it is cash only !

I have been coming here for 3 years and the last time I came Jenny did my nails
for me. I was displeased by the way they came out and I came back the next day to get them fixed. Keep in mind that this is the only time in 3 years this has ever happened. I came in today again to get a regular gel manicure and as soon as I walked in one of the ladies (that has never even done my nails before) told me in front of everyone that she will never do my nails again because I came back to get them fixed the next day. I was confused and just waited for someone else to do them for me. The ladies started bickering in their own native language until 10 minutes later, after waiting, one of them said that they had no time to do my nails. I asked if I could come in anther time to which they replied «No, we have no time to do your nails». I said «ever? Like forever???» She said, «Yes…» They basically let me know that they would never do my nails for me ever again. I was hurt!!! After coming here for 3 years I would expect to be treated with some respect. I will never be coming back here ever again!!! What kind of customer service is that… So disappointed…

I’ve been needing a pedicure and decided to try this place based on the good reviews I read on Unilocal.
It’s located inside a hair salon and once I walked in, I had to veer right to find them behind a wall partition.
Anyway, I waited a few minutes before one of the ladies asked me to choose a nail polish color. They had a huge selection of China Glaze, ORLY, and Essie polishes. Great colors too, so that was a plus. Once I picked my color, I sat down on a regular chair. They don’t have any massage chairs so the lady just used a wash tub to do my pedicure. She was very fast and not very detailed in cleaning. The nail polish job was very fast as well, and it was a bit sloppy in my opinion. I also noticed she didn’t use a base coat, which is what I’m used to at the other salon I go to in National City.
When she was done, she didn’t bother asking me to stay until my polish was dried. No mini electric fans were used but instead, she rushed me out to take the next customer.
Overall, it was ok for the $ 13 price tag. I probably wouldn’t come back unless I’m in a pinch for a fast pedicure.

We came from the Bay Area and I was taking my daughter o get a manicure and a pedicure. They were great and very friendly! Place is a little small but it was worth it and the prices were great as well. They were busy but they fit us in and got my daughters nails looking great. I definitely recommend this place!

A quaint hole in the wall shared with a hair salon. This little place makes you feel welcome and not only do they do a great job, their prices are very pleasant on the pockets. I would definitely drive back down to Chula to get gel on my nail!
For the record: $ 16 French tip pedicure and $ 9 good olé regular mani!

Good place for a quick color. Would not recommend for anything else — I came in for acrylic nail removal and the girl ended up pressing too hard and removing apart of my actual nail (there’s now a hideous red mark) and the design she did just looks messy. It is cheap though — so you do get what you paid for.

When I first moved to San Diego in 2007, I went through three different salons in the South Bay in search of a salon that gave great service for acrylic nails and pedicures. Either the work was poor, the prices were high, or both. Then I came across Cutie Nails and figured I’d give them a shot. I have to admit that the first acrylic nail job I got from there left me very disappointed, so I went back in within a few days to get them fixed… that’s when I met Song. She completely re-​did my acrylic nails and they turned out beautiful. If I recall correctly, she didn’t charge me for the re-​work either. From that moment, Cutie Nails has been «my» place.
Jenny and Le are also sweethearts and have filled in for Song on the rare occasions that she actually takes time off. Jenny and Le also do great work, but Song’s my gal. She’ll come in early or stay late to accommodate her customers; she’s always loyal to her clients and values them, which shows in her work.
Regarding pedicures, my feet were an absolute train wreck before Song started doing them. Now, I’m not embarrassed to wear sandals/​flip flops to show off my toes. Her gel fills last and last showing little wear and tear in two weeks, and I use my hands a LOT, including gardening. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve had to ask Song to repair a broken nail in the 8 years I’ve been going to her… they rarely break!
Like others have posted, if you’re looking for those spacious nail and pedicure places with the fancy massaging chairs, this is NOT your place, and you’re most likely paying too much. If you want outstanding service at a great price, this IS your place. Cash only… but NOT a big deal; this is another reason that they can keep their prices lower than the hoity toity salons. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

This is my go to nail salon. Always love their service. The girls there are friendly and nice! Welcoming and making sure I’m satisfied with my results. Affordable too! You can’t beat em. Love this place and always recommending to others!

I haven’t even had my nails on for 4 days & some are already becoming lose & 2 already fell off. Yenny didn’t do a good job at all, she rushed through the whole thing & she didn’t even take my cuticles off.

By far, my favorite nail spot. A nicely hidden gem, located in the hair salon. I didn’t want to write a review, because I didn’t want to give this spot away, but they deserve to be recognized for their exceptional quality of service. Staff is super friendly, prices are affordable, and the best part, of course, is their fantastic work.
Another bonus, is that they’re very organized. They’re honest about time ranges, stick to set appointments, and have all the nail colors neatly organized, so that if you pick a shellac nail color, they have the corresponding regular polish for your toes so everything matches perfectly and there is no guess work :)

I don’t know if this was just from my experience. I went here because the rating was good. But I really don’t know how they got 4.5 stars.
The cleanness of the place was horrible! They just rinsed off their tools and put it back in the clean box!!!
For the service. I had someone named Le. A lady with a short A lined hair cut. Her service was worse then how dirty it was. I get a pedi and gel mani.
The pedicure. Horrible. With I said ouch she must started laughing. She couldn’t get the line straight on my french tip. For the massage portion she just put a little lotion rubbed it for less then 30 seconds and was done
The manicure. Not as bad as the pedi but still bad. Again with the French tip line. Couldn’t get it right and sane with the massage. Just put on lotion and that’s it.

Great work and very friendly. The price is wonderful too. Daisy did my nails and they came out great. Bring cash they do not take card. They take walk ins. Great selection of gel nail polish! Now with Pinterest my nails will be amazing!

I’ve come here twice now and I’ve been beyond impressed both times. Daisy has done my nails both times. She is very detail oriented and always makes sure my cuticles look clean. When she polishes it is always done perfectly; she lines it with acetone and her brush, which I really appreciate!
This time I got my feet done by Daisy (which she did perfectly, of course!) and I got my hands done my Cece. Cece was so nice, always making sure I was comfortable and that I was more than satisfied with how my nails were coming out. As she manicured my nails she explained to me why and how I should get my nails filed and my cuticles cut. She was even super patient when I decided to change my gel polish, which is no easy task to take off!
Everyone is so welcoming and nice. Daisy and Cece are exceptional with their work!
This is definitely not a fancy place, but for a $ 40 gel mani and pedi I cannot complain! ;)

Best nail salon based on their customer service, Yenny has been doing my nails for almost a year now and she’s been so great and she’s always loves a good talk and laugh. She is willing to do your nails the way you want them and tends to be very busy on the weekends. It’s always best to make appointments and call rather than walking in. I love the stiletto type of nails and Yenny always is willing to do the designs I show her! She’s amazing! :)
