Rarely am I led astray by this app, but in the case of crappy donuts I was oh sorry«crispy» donuts. The service was horrible the kid in there was like 17 and seemed really annoyed to be there. Honestly there were about 3 types of donuts and roughly 2 or 3 of each type, so like 10 donuts in the whole place nothing resembling the pictures on here. I got two anyway based on the reviews figured they must be phenomenal considering the overall look and atmosphere; however, they have possibly the worst donuts I’ve eaten ever definitely in recent memory. At least they were consistent as the donuts were on par with the service and decorum. One donut was not even fully baked and was still partially wet inside. If you want good donuts definitely try somewhere else compared to a Krispy Kreme or even the Walmart bakery(which are both about 2 miles away) this place is a joke.

Best Doughnuts in all Bonita i live near Rohr Park and rather drive up Otay Lakes Rd. Than buy doughnuts that are near my house!

Delicious and fresh donuts at a family business. The folks that work there are so nice and very customer oriented! They even made extra chocolate with sprinkles so my kids wouldn’t fight over the one that was left! Definitely our favorite donut shop!

By far THEBEST place for donuts! Parking is a little tight but it’s well worth it. The lady behind the counter is exceptionally nice and you feel good supporting a true mom-and-pop shop. They make every customer feel welcomed, like your going to grandmas house for breakfast. Cash only but there’s ATMs around the corner.

Something about dense, buttery, and overly glazed donuts does it to me… I love Crispy’s Donuts, especially when they’re located less than a mile from me. Most reviews talk about the sweet lady behind the counter but I’ve never gotten her. I’ve always gotten the younger gentleman who is extremely nice. Even though it’s just me and my wife eating these, we always order the dozen. And the dozen barely lasts 3 days in my house. If you’re local and love tasty donuts, stop on by! For the location, quality in donuts and price, Crispy’s is awesome!

This is hands down the BEST donut shop in San Diego. My wife and I found them a month ago and it has been a breath of fresh air ever since. We come about twice a week. The owner is a cool guy and really takes the time to learn his regulars. If you are in the mood for some mouthwatering donuts then I recommend giving Crispy’s Donuts a try. My wife and I are lifetime customer.

These are the best donuts I’ve had hands down. Not even Krispy Kreme can compare. The owner is so nice. I just wish they took debit/cc but I guess it helps me because I can only stop when I have cash on me.

Been coming here after class this past week and man I am hooked! Charlie Chan cooks some good donuts!!! A dozen donut holes for $ 1.35 u can’t beat that! Also try the regular glazed they melt in your mouth! Only reason for 4 stars is because the place is small and has no AC. So if u wanna escape from the heat while u eat this ain’t the place.

I joked about my husband bringing home donuts, and he did! We had never tried donuts from here before, as it isn’t close to home, but I’d gladly make the trip any time I want a donut. Their round donuts are, as one might guess, crispy. Their maple bar was very fresh, soft and not dry, and had the best maple frosting I’ve ever had, and maple bars are all I ever used to get as a kid.

This is a great neighborhood donut shop! Super nice family owned spot with amazing donuts. Not sure what’s in the apple fritters, but they are incredible! Get here early on the weekends or else they run out!

This place is a real, home bound, homestyle made, donut shop. I love that the owners are really nice and I really, really, love that they cut the donut in half and put fresh cream inside! If you’re going to eat a donut, that’s definitely the way to do it!

Been coming to this shop for the past couple of years now. It has a mom and pop feel to it and the owners(i’m assuming) are very friendly. The donuts are pretty consistant, they have a soft, fresh taste to them. The only bad thing is that they only accept cash, i’ve shown up before without cash and had to use a nearby atm, not cool. Also i’ve noticed if you go later in the day to buy donuts, they don’t taste as fresh as the ones in the morning, just my experience though. Overall donuts here are pretty bombay! I would rather eat these donuts over krispy kreme donuts anyday and I live closer to krispy kreme.

Delicious donuts and very kind staff. Every time we buy donuts here we usually get a dozen and the old man always gives us one extra free donut of our choice. If you are looking for some yummy homemade donuts this is the place.

The glazed donuts and crullers are excellent. Light, fluffy, and chewy. And there’s none of that cheap bread taste you get from a lot of donut shops. If you’ve had donuts, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Crispy’s Donuts(or just simply«DONUTS») seems to avoid that, it’s all pretty excellent. I can only sort of agree with the review mentioning a lack of jelly in their jelly donuts. In my experience, it’s not so much that there’s not enough jelly, but rather, the jelly is usually only concentrated in one single area. There’s more than enough jelly for me, just not spread out well enough within the donut. No big deal, though. Of course, the only downside is not being able to use plastic. You can walk over to the ATM in Ralph’s, but that can be a hassle sometimes. I also enjoy seeing the lady that runs the place chasing off the younger employees to the back with a broom because they were slacking off, it was hilarious. I wish they made the crullers all week long, and I wish they would do one with shredded coconut on it(the same for glazed donuts — those things need to be sold absolutely covered in shredded coconut, I would buy the hell out of them).

This place is amazing! I love going here! The owner always remembers my parents and also remembers my daughter and I when we go in. She even gives her a donut hole while I order. They’re so kind and friendly! They’ve been there for years and my parents have been going to them for a long as I can remember. The best donut spot in my opinion!

The bear claw was awesome. Was like eating an apple pie but in donut form. It was soft and fluffy on the inside and absolutely delish. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is the iced coffee I ordered was a cappuccino with ice not an actual iced coffee. Great service as well but they only take cash so make sure your prepared.

*** DON’T FORGETTOBRINGCASH*** Why wouldn’t you give Crispy’s Donuts 5 stars? They are delicious and service is amazing! One morning I came in before heading out to work because I needed coffee… They are located next door to Starbucks but I came here instead since a donut sounded like a good combination with coffee! I didn’t have cash on me and the owner said, «It’s only a couple bucks, you can pay me next time.» Seriously?!! Who even says that nowadays?! It was so unexpected and needless to say, she made my morning! I came back about 2 weeks later to buy more donuts and pay my debt… I’m pretty sure it won’t be my last visit either!

Small place with a huge sign that says«donuts»… Across SWC. Anyways… Came here Sunday morning and was immediately greeted by what looks to be a husband/wife team. They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and ready to help… At 0800, people were already lined up and coming in and out! I noticed that they knew several people by name(awesome)… Anyways… They have a decent selection of donuts(along with beverages and some other snack foods)… They don’t get too fancy with their donuts, nothing trendy or hipster here. but they definitely have the classics with the classic frosting(glazed, maple, chocolate)… Many of them are sized pretty big too… I ordered 3 doz, telling them it was my first time, and the lovely lady adds several more donuts to our box for free… Their donuts are airy and light. Of course they’re sweet, but definitely not as sweet as Krispy Kreme… The chocolate glaze hardened enough on the top, but still moist underneath, so you know it’s super fresh. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied… I only deducted a bit Bc they accept cash only… So I had to walk around the corner to the grocery store for cash. Sigh…

Dear Mama, I apologize. All these years when you asked me to get crispy donuts, I always thought that you always meant Krispy Kremes. Thought that it was just your inner fobness coming out. But your favorite son was wrong all these years. For that, I apologize. Crispy’s, which is located a couple of blocks from my parent’s house, is my parent’s favorite spot to get a dozen donuts. The donuts are so fresh and still warm every time I get them. When I think of Crispy’s Donuts, I now think of Ronald’s from Las Vegas. Yes, they’re that good. They’re bigger, fresh, warm, and their name Crispy’s is fitting for them. Yum yum… they’re crispy crunchy as well. When I use to go visit my parents, they’d request for some Crispy Donuts. I’d make a pit stop at Krispy Kreme and always wondered why they would barely touch them. Well, all these years later realized why. They love me some CRISPY’S DONUTS. TIP: -$ 8 for a dozen –Enjoy a single donut and Starbucks next door –Busy in the AM, but slows around 10AM. –Ask for a fresh batch. At Crispy’s, they will sometimes do that for you. Doesn’t hurt to ask.
