Community Congregational Pre-School

My son has been attending CCP for a year and a half and this place is amazing! We looked high and low for preschools in the Chula Vista, Bonita and Eastlake area. As you see, they do not have too many Unilocal reviews, but when my neighbors suggested here, I had a handful of current parents tell me so many great things about this preschool. They have amazing staff– caring and nuturing to all the kids. Fun activities! Our boy is ALWAYS excited to go to school in the morning. My son has learned so much… They keep him engaged, challenge him to work, explore and try new things! They helped with his potty training and gave me techniques to use at home. Also, the director works with my schedule which I’m so greatful! Its not over crowded and kids toppling over each other. Perfect amount of kids! CCP is hidden gem in downtown Chula Vista. We are so happy and please to have our son enrolled there!

Had both my boys go here, one still attends and we absolutely love it! We are told all the time what great foundation my transitional kindergartner had coming in and see an improvement with my 3 year olds speech, the entire staff genuinely care for their students and it shows! Cannot express how happy we are with this preschool and for the price and care you get here you will definitely be happy and confident with your children attending

Last year I was looking for a preschool for my 3 year old and didn’t know where to start so for the first time I came on to Unilocal to check out local preschools. I found 3 and this was the first school i called. Mrs. Applegate, the school director, answered my call and was so warm and informative I immediately wanted to come see the school. I was a little confused on where to enter and was exhausted from my hectic day at work so I almost walked away and got back in my car until a father of a child at the school was super friendly and showed me where to go. Boy am I lucky I didn’t walk away from this amazing experience. I asked the man how he felt about the school and he went on and on about the teachers and how this was his 3^rd child coming to this school and he tells everyone about it and on and on. I could tell he really meant what he was saying and that sat very well with me. I then found Mrs. Applegate who was just as wonderful in person. She was sweet and introduced me to some of the teachers who were extremely friendly and personable. I had an instant positive feeling but my husband tends to be a really good judge of things so Mrs. Applegate invited my son the following day to see how he liked it. My husband took him to see if he agreed with how I felt and if our son would agree as well. He called me right away and said this is the perfect place for Chase! I was so happy and relieved! Finding a school for your child is monumental and I was really nervous about the whole process. I have to let you know, if you are looking for a preschool for your child look no further! I have goosebumps writing this because I tell my husband this school was a God send to us! The staff is like family! I’ll never forget the second week of school my son was having a hard day letting me leave him to go to work and his teacher Mrs. Avalos said, «Chase, if you don’t come to school I will miss you! I love you!» he immediately went to her and gave her a hug. I walked out with tears in my eyes, so thankful that my child is with teachers who truly care about him and love him. As a working Mom I couldn’t ask for anything more! We have now finished our first year and about to finish summer «camp» this week and it has been nothing short of a perfect and wonderful experience! Every single teacher is wonderful! They are constantly praising the children and guiding them with positive words and love. I just wanted to share this with any parents that are now in the same situation I was last year. Between both of my girls we’ve been attending CCP since 2011. I adore them 200%! I cannot believe how wonderful they are here and how much they have enhanced my daughters and our family. This is not come corporation — it’s family. They treat everyone with respect and kindness. Additionally — this is a very open preschool that does not teach religion in its curriculum. I truly appreciate that — as I feel that is up to every parent to share their own religious values.

My son and daughter both attended CCP for 4 ½ years. We were so happy with the director, teachers, children and parents. They believe in the whole child and teach an emergent curriculum. Both of my children. They entered Kindergarten prepared and ready to learn. Both were reading by pre-​K. D&B both left Kindergarten @ a 2^nd grade reading level.

This preschool is great! All three of my children went there. The teachers really care about the children.
