Welcome to Balensi Spa Situated in Chula Vista and just steps from miles of stunning Chula Vista Nature wildlife Center, EastLake, U.S. Olympic Training Center, Coronado, downtown San Diego and Mexico. Giving you the most personalized day spa experience in our Spa Boutique setting. Built in 1910 this old house was remodeled into a beautiful Spa. It features five rooms, a garden patio and French-​Mediterranean accents.

So happy I found this place thanks to groupon. Their prices are very reasonable. The esthetician was informative and thoroughly answered all my questions. The place itself is adorable, the lighting was dim and the music was soft meditation spa music. There’s even an outside patio to enjoy your tea. The esthetician and the front desk person were not pushing products or membership. Overall it was a great experience.

I got a gift card here. I was really disappointed. The place charged me 50 $ because they said that I was a no show for my appointment even though I cancel 2 days prior to my original appointment. I have the details of the call and my reschedule appointment and they still didn’t reimburse me back my 50 $. I would never recommend this place so if you are looking or thinking of even going save your time. On top of that the front desk person always put you on hold. For a business that supposed to catering to customers need they are not doing that all. If I could give no star I world give this place a negative star.

I wanted to try the place so I got a groupon for a microdermabrasion. did not like it. it was very light. she ran the thing thru my forehead and that was it. before she did my facial. she asked if i had a groupon and I said yes. maybe that is why she did not tried her best. i thought a groupon was to attract new clients. not to drive them away.

I used to buy Groupons for my facials and never went back to the same place twice. Balensi, Dora especially, have kept me coming back monthly for a year now! My husband also gets a monthly massage — We LOVE it. The service, the atmosphere, the location, everything is just perfect.

I came here based on reviews for permanent makeup
My Eyebrows, the very center piece of your face.
Had them done yesterday.
I cried this morning. I look like an clown.. I look like I let my daughter draw them on me. I came home and she was horrified by my face thanks to these eyebrows
And their PERMANENT! !!!
NOW I have to go thru Lazer surgery to remove them.
This is going to hurt me and my job. I can’t keep walking around like this. And Lazer surgery does create temporary blisters. Fml

people ask me how much does Balensi pay me to advertise them. lol because i do advertise and recommend them to all the people i know!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The staff is very welcoming and very knowledgeable. Ms. Lorena has been doing my facials and SHE IS THE BEST!!! i get treated almost not a customer but a friend, even a family. She is very good at what she does!!! Cant complain about the prices. i started out with that Groupon thing, now IM A HIGHLY SATISFIED MEMBER!!! thank you, guys. thanks, Ms. Lorena!!!

I first came here because of a groupon I had for a microdermabrasion. I’m so glad I did! I have been back several times for a variety of different services since then. Vanessa is amazing and has worked wonders for my skin! My face is now clear and blemish free as opposed to how yucky it used to be before coming here. I highly recommend this spa!

I get my facials and peels here and have been doing so for about 4 years. The products they use (aveda) are not cheap and have not only diminished the acne scarring on my face dramatically but also has somehow kept my acne at bay. The facility is very relaxing and clean. I love the complimentary chocolate wine and tea you get after your facials, and Lorena is the best at what she does!

Second time at Balensi’s for a Microdermabrasion with Collagen and I just can’t say enough about this place!
Upon arrival you are greeted by a very nice receptionist in a very charming and cozy surrounding, you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The actual facial is amazing, don’t know what’s greater, the actual relaxing experience of the facial or the amazing results, Vanessa is just wonderful, after one visit she knows your skin and knows exactly what to do, she is definitely a key asset to the spa! I’m just so happy I found this hidden gem!!!

I came here in October on a recommendation from a friend, to have permanent eyeliner done. It was a great experience, and I get a ton of compliments! It’s been 8 months, and it still looks great. In fact, I recently had an eye exam for my contact lenses and the eye doctor, an older gentleman, asked me about the permanent eyeliner. I thought, «Oh great, he is going to lecture me about it» but the doctor actually complimented it and said whoever did it, had a very steady hand. :)
Balensi is very clean, tranquil, and relaxing. I’m eager to go back and try a facial or massage.

This review is only for the man who does the permanent makeup. In the beginning during the consultation (him speaking) he was thorough. I felt that once I started asking questions he was annoyed like my questions were dumb. I showed him a picture of what I was looking for and again seemed disinterested. At some point during the procedure I asked him something and completely ignored me. So he gives me a mirror to look at the finished product not what I wanted at all. After I left I called to ask one last thing and he snapped, very rudely speaking and would not let me get a word in. I was shocked because everyone I have spoken from there are super professional. So since he is the owner id think he would be the example of good customer service. Unfortunately I’m stuck with this permanent eyeliner. Hopefully it’ll scab and come off completely.

Booked an appointment through Unilocal for may 22nd at 12 pm. .when I went in told the lady I had an appt .she looked me up and she said she didn’t see anything. Then she said that she saw my appointment but wasn’t completed… when I booked through Unilocal it does not say any instructions of what to do after. the lady at the front desk even said she doesn’t know how the Unilocal appointments work… I don’t know why Unilocal has a book an appointment button. I was really annoyed because I expected to come out of there feeling amazing not angry… the lady at the front desk wanted to book an appointment for me for the next day but I was over it and just wanted to get out of there. So remember DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THROUGH Unilocal!

Low budget. Paper facials you can get from the 99 cent store. Not able to change into a robe unless you buy a membership or get several treatments. I felt very weird undressing in my facial room. Not relaxing at all. More of a place for someone who is just trying to get in and out quickly. prices are good though. I would go there again only if i just needed a quick service (not a facial)

Went last year when I had a bad acne flare up. It was a very clean, tranquil and professional facility. A definite cloud 9 experience and I loved every second of it, minus the uncomfortable microdermabrasion (as is too be expected with that kind of a treatment). Have equal quality of care in all the treatments and massages from start to end, no rushing and no roughness. Thanks ladies!

I booked a facial for my sister and I a few days ago. My sis loved her facial and was very pleased with her lady. My appt. was after hers, and I was told the owner would be giving my facial. I thought great ! Maybe she’ll be extra good! Much to my surprise NOT! She rushed me through the facial was not informative and not gentle at all. I almost felt because she knew I purchased a groupon facial, she gave me less attention and cut my facial short to 45 min. Didn’t feel comfortable with her at all! Worst facial ever! And she’s the owner?! She also was complaining out loud to the receptionist about a customer parking in the back taking her parking. Never have your facial done by owner. She seemed too preoccupied with her other duties of running the business. And be aware of groupon treatment!
Very disappointed and will not return…

This place is a hidden gem! Using my gift card I got from xmas to use today. Great place, nice staff, clean place inside & outside! Came in for a combination masage, my masseuse name was Catherine. Her knowledge about the pressure points & lomi lomi was what I needed!!! Thanks Catherine! Definitely coming back.
Also might join their Members Club $ 55 a month

So after a year of thought, I decided to get my fading eyebrows done. I researched a lot and found Balensi’s Spa actually here on Unilocal and decided to go there for a consultation due to the great reviews. My positive impression already started on the phone. The assistants are super friendly and polite, which is always a plus, of course. I drove to Chula Vista for the consultation and Balensi was very calm and friendly, explaining me which procedure would be fitting for my case. He took his time to speak to me, which I appreciated. Three days later, I booked my session. The spa is absolutely clean and pretty, like a little bungalow heaven, and Balensi worked very professionally and detailed. Now that my brows healed up, I can only say chapeau. Balensi did a great great job. The brows look super natural and my friends love it.
I highly recommend this spa.
