Normally we enjoy Youngs hawaiian bbq. First off I wasn’t feeling well and forgot if you used a card you had to show id. So I had to go in and got nasty looks from the male cashier. Then it took them 20 mins for our order. Others behind us got theirs first and we just ordered 2 plates. Their macaroni salad tasted like it was made with water not any mayo! Was nasty. Meat wasn’t bad, but for $ 9 a plate give me the full scoops of rice and salad please. Mini plate used to be $ 5 no soda but now it’s $ 7. A dollar more you get a large plate. Very bummed. We won’t be back soley on the nasty looks we got.

I really like Ono Hawaiian BBQ and saw Young Hawaiian BBQ so thought I would try it. I got the BBQ beef, mac and white rice. I did not like it. I’ll stick to Ono. It was also overpriced.

Food was so salty! The locomoco was overlooked! Friendly service. Overall, Food was unsatisfactory. Won’t be coming back! Wasted money!

There is a list of things that just didn’t add up. They only gave 3 small pieces of thigh meat, the cabbage was raw shredded(uncooked), the Young’s BBQ sauce is SOYSAUCE(Don’t lie to customers taking credit for a standard OTC product!). The Katsu sauce was pretty blan and lacked flavor. I got a simple cup of water from the Pepsi machine. It was unfiltered, and tasted pretty bad. This place cuts quality corners on every level, including the cheapest napkins that can found. Within the last 6 months, they raised their prices and did not improved their standard. This is a basic plate for this kind of eatery. Not a good deal, nor up to even a chain standard like Ono’s. I can see why there weren’t many people in the shop on a weekend night around dinner time. RECAP: Higher prices. low quality, small portions, uncooked cabbage unfiltered water supplying the soda machine, and lying about soy sauce being their house brand of Young’s BBQ sauce. Is this a place you want to buy from, enabling them to charge high for poor quality? Nope!

Very Disappointed with my past visits here. My family and I would dine in here all the time. We would even have our parties catered by them. But recently we have noticed with all the newer staff our orders have been done wrong. Just recently we ordered carry out. Our order was done incorrectly again. We noticed it when we got home. After the same mistake happening multiple times we decided to call and complain. The employee we spoke to was very nice and said the next time we go in we will receive a free item for the mistake. However, tonight my family and I ordered and reminded them of the free order we were offered. The employee we spoke to said a note was never left for them and they cannot honor the item. So they did not only mess up our order but they messed up the accommodation. They have lost our business for the future.

The young people that are taking the orders are idiots and have no customer service skills… people should ban this place as they have just ruined the reputation of this place. I give this place 0 stars for stupidity!!!

We needed Hawaiian BBQ in a pinch and this place worked out great. The food was yummy and the service was super friendly. I will be back!

Where do I start! It should just be called Youngs. There is no Hawaiian food in that place. It’s just gimmick Luau food, that’s not even good. I do like there boba milk tea and their hawaiian sun collection.

Found hair in my food. I asked for my money back and a new plate. They refunded the $ 10.25 and refused to give me a new plate. Once again terrible customer service, I’m never eating here again.

I ordered food for the company I work for. When I came to pick it up I had two coupons that was refused for being a day expired. Which would have been fine, but to make matters worse I was refused my food because I didn’t have ID. I explained that it was a company order and that I didn’t have my Co workers ID. I was told that it was company policy then was disrespectfully told off. There food is not worth the B.S. you can find better with better service. If I could I’d give no stars

I normally love coming to eat at this place. Hawaiian BBQ is one of my favorites and their food is always fresh especially the pasta salad. However yesterdays experience just made me really not like this place. I walked in maybe 10 mins before 8:30 excited because they closed at 9 pm and I was craving their food. Yet when I walked in they already had all their chairs up and you got this unwelcoming vibe from the employees. We order our food and the cashier tells us we can not sit inside, but we can order it to go and sit outside. She also mentions that they will be removing all the sauces from the side so to hurry up and grab what we can before it is removed. Again this is all before 8:30 and they close at 9 pm. It was really rude and I was a bit irritated. I would have completely understand if she told us this 10 mins before that wasn’t the case. I really felt that this was a very unwelcoming and rude experience for customers who are coming to give them more business. From now on I will def. reconsider coming here anytime before they close since the employees seem to anxious to want to leave work.

The food is delicious, which is why I’m not giving them a 1-star review for this experience. The reason for this unpleasant experience is because I was given a hard time purchasing my food. I’m glad they check ID before making a card payment but there is no reason why they shouldn’t accept my moms card if we have the same last name! That’s pretty ridiculous

Would you eat your lunch if you see hair in it? Not only that, I ordered probably the simplest dish from their menu and they couldn’t get it right. they forgot about my dish after fulfilling everybody else’s orders after mine, and the meat patty for my LOCOMOCO is over cooked and they are missing an egg. Usually Hawaiian BBQs hits the spot but unfortunately not this one. Avoid this restaurant like the plague. Try Pieology next door.

So I’ve been to this place about 12 times now, and I keep forgetting to leave a review. So here you go. I like this place. I wouldn’t say it’s life-changing Hawaiian BBQ, but it’s good for what you get. The staff is friendly(never had a bad experience), and food is always hot, and they give you a decent portion. My favorite thing to get there is the BBQ chicken/BBQ Beef combo(I’ve had the mix plate, but the extra cost for the small amount of ribs isn’t worth it IMO) with a drink and I’m good to go for under $ 12. Plus the service is pretty fast, so there’s not a lot of waiting around. The downside is the place always seems hot to me … I mean, I know it’s small and the grill top isn’t that far away, but it’s still a little uncomfortable. The décor is pretty meh … but it’s not a deal-breaker. A little spruce up is in order. Bottom line? If you’re looking for some above average Hawaiian BBQ on the quick, this is the place you should check out!

I ordered the BBQ mix which includes BBQ beef, kalbi short ribs, BBQ chicken, 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. Everything was very tasteful and well seasoned. What I like the most was that my food was fresh, made to order and not sitting in some kind of bin or under heat lamps. Staff was fast and friendly and always had a smile. Keep up the good work!

The workers are nice the food comes out quick and hot but it taste TERRIBLE!!! The bbq chicken is good but the moco loco taste bland compared to other places like Alohas in walnut. The chicken katsu isn’t verygood either. This is my second time here and I will not be coming back.

We are from out of town visiting with friends. My husband and my friend’s husband came here to pick up dinner to bring back to us and our children. I was not disappointed. They ended up ordering Chicken Katsu, pork, macaroni salad, white rice, teryaki chicken and SPAMMUSABI! Now I understand that you can’t really mess up spam musabi, but the fact that it was here was so exciting. All this food fed 4 adults and 3 children plus TONS of leftovers. If we are ever in the area again we will be returning.

Seriously?, I have to give one star to be able to write a review?. DON’T even try to come 8:55 pm because the people here are so rude. They close at 9PM but if you come at 8:55PM you can only get a drink which is easy. Food? Forget it!!! I am so glad I don’t like their food, we were here just getting food for our daughter to go. Ugh!

Their chicken Katsu is pretty damn good here. First off, there’s a ton of it. There’s a bit of fat in there, and picking it out will make you feel a little bit better about your choice(it’s negligible, really). Their fried shrimp was ok. It was very thin and hard, so it’s better off getting chicken katsu instead. Speaking of which, they have a pretty good katsu sauce that is more sweet and sour than the tangy katsu at other places. The teriyaki sauce has to be my favorite though, and I much prefer that with my katsu! Mac salad was very meh. Spam musubi was actually pretty good and flavorful! Really, an ok place to get something quick to eat!
