Rec Shop Boot Camp

Rec Shop Bootcamp is an awesome place to get a workout in & break a sweat! Bootcamp here is intense and every rotation is a challenge ready to be conquered! Everyone here is motivating and uplifting. The green turf gives it that outdoors atmosphere and puts you in the zone. Rec Shop plays great music that really gets you going too!
Jason is great at what he does and really builds rapport with his clients. He is professional when it comes to sports performance training and is knowledgeable & passionate about his business! He is a great leader during Bootcamp and stands by to be a helping hand. He is a great coach/​trainer and also a great friend. Thank you Jason. You’re the man! I would recommend anyone to challenge themselves and try out REC Shop Bootcamp!

I started going to this gym about a month ago now. I really like it a lot. Everyone knows each other and help each other out when things get tough. The trainers are amazing and make sure you are doing exercises correctly. I love that all classes end with a session of stretching. Trainers truly care about your body and are genuinely concerned that stretching is done appropriately to avoid injuries. I also like that it’s a really clean gym, this is a plus for me. Everyone is very motivational and supportive. If you follow their régime you will lose weight. I’ve already lost 6 lbs since I started. I will confess my diet hasn’t been super strict. Weight loss would be better if I was a little more strict on my diet. I’m working on it. Love this gym and my gym buddies.

Be prepared to push yourself and work hard because Jason is the man who will help you with your goal. This boot camp is for all levels of fitness so don’t think you can’t do it, trust me you can. I recommend to join his 2week trial for $ 20 to get a sample of what you’re looking for in a great workout.

Rec Shop!!! Omg! It is a work out for sure! I’d rather go to Rec Shop then go to a regular boring gym! You’ll feel good knowing you worked out your whole body! Staff is great and the people are so welcoming. I love Rec Shop!

Rec Shop is guaranteed to give you a great workout! I have been an athlete all my life but Rec Shop offered such unique workouts that it kept me coming back. Jason (owner of Rec Shop/​instructor/​personal trainer) is so kind and knowledgeable. He takes the time to show members how to correctly do the exercises and allows them to go their own pace. You can tell that he truly cares about fitness and his members. After talking to other people about Rec Shop, they speak so highly of Jason and Rec Shop overall. Rec Shop is definitely worth checking out, especially if your workout routine needs an upgrade!

My second home! I’m not even joking about that! I am here almost everyday for the boot camp classes. I have been coming to Rec Shop for a little over a year now and I don’t plan on stopping. The trainers know what they are doing and they definitely care about each and every member that trains here. If you have an injury they will change the workout for your needs. The environment is super comfortable! There are gyms that you can go to and it is just awkward because of the environment and that just doesn’t make you want to work out! The people that works out here together at class is like one big fit family! Everyone motivates each other and has a great time during the circuits. It’s just an awesome gym to be apart of!!! Love it!

I have known Jason since working together at a Physical Therapy clinic years ago. Being a physical therapist I have a different perspective on fitness classes. I finally got a chance to participate in his classes. It was a great atmosphere. Staff was really friendly. The class itself was fun, challenging, organized and safe. Jason was able to keep the class engaged and was keeping an eye on your form and making sure you were doing the exercises correctly. I think that is so important especially in avoiding injury.
If you’re looking for a place to meet your fitness goal, Rec Shop is the place. Jason’s background in strength conditioning, and rehabilitation places him above most other trainers out there. Highly recommend!

Super friendly staff! They really treat you like family. The Bootcamp class was extremely fun but tough at the same time. Jason the owner is super knowledgable. Everyone here is super helpful too!

Man these guys know what they’re doing. I have never felt the attention they give me at this gym before. Jason likes to make sure that I am making the correct and more efficient movements and avoiding bad habits. I also had some shoulder issues so Jason and Stacy applied kinesiology tape on it and it definitely gave me the support I needed. With these guys monitoring my workouts, that 6 pack is just around the corner!

I started going to REC SHOP about a year ago and absolutely loved it! The staff is really nice and extremely motivating. Each day you do something different and you see a difference with your body and energy.

Recshop is an awesome place! The facility is very clean, the owner Jason and his staff are extremely friendly and it has such a welcoming atmosphere!
I have always been pretty athletic and lifted in the gym, but completing my first bootcamp here was a challenge for sure! Luckily Jason was there to help motivate me to keep pushing through the entire series of exercises that had been set up for the day.
Every class is different. One day the focus will be legs and another day upper body or cardio. There are numerous formats that are worked into the class time. The staff are creative with the exercises and how they put together a workout for the members.
One thing I noticed right away was how genuine Jason and his staff are with the members. He makes sure he knows everyone, their goals, and pays close attention to the health of the members. He is always aware if someone is injured and can quickly come up with a modification or a new exercise for that member. He is also extremely knowledgeable, effectively correcting form and answering any questions.
Personal Training is also offered here. Some members participate in bootcamps along with personal training. Come check out Recshop, you will not be disappointed!

I started coming to REC shop back in Dec and I really enjoy coming to this gym. I have been going on and off especially lately but whenever I come Jason the trainer always makes me feel welcome and comfortable with the workouts. I do plan to come more frequently and sticking with it and Jason is very motivating through workouts and even through social media when I am not at the gym. The posting on IG are very motivational and inspiring from quotes to food and health tips. I would recommend coming to this gym and at least trying it out. It is only going to benefit you! I started going to Rec shop about 2 months ago and so far this place is great, I started getting personal training from Jason and this guy knows what his doing, his patient, his well educated as far as the body and working out goes and he explains and answers any questions you may have. So if your thinking of getting back in shape and want to do it the right way this is the place to go. =)

It’s been 3 months I been attending the bootcamp classes and also have personal training with Jason. Jason is super friendly, outgoing and humorous instructor. The classes are very challenging, everyday is something different but the best part is that makes you wanna go everyday and not miss a day. Especially with an Amazing instructor that only motivates you and encourages to do better everytime your there. I’m half way reaching my goal and couldn’t be any happier to see how this classes have benefit me in so many ways

What I love about Rec Shop is the creativity and challenge behind their workouts. I’ve had my share of variety of workouts, but Rec Shop never fails to introduce me to a new move and push me to my limits. The coaches are encouraging, knowledgeable, and keep the atmosphere fun. Overall, Rec Shop is the place to get your sweat on and is perfect for all fitness levels! Highly recommended!

I have been coming here for about a month now, 3 – 4 days a week, and still getting my butt kick every class. Each class i’ve been to has different exercises so your body never gets use to it. Their High Intense Interval Training program is one of a kind in its own. A 45 minute full body workout that consist of: warm-​up (exercises that gets your whole body warmed up), intense workouts (5 – 8 stations with multiple exercises in each stations), and stretching at the end. You don’t have to spend 2 hours at a gym to get the results you want. You get better results here for 45 minutes then spending 2 hours lifting at the gym.
Jason is a true professional, very motivating and encouraging. Helps you push yourself to the limit and to the best to your abilities. He helps correct your form for each exercise while you perform so that you don’t hurt yourself doing them which is key because not many trainers continuously do that for the entire workout. The entire staff here is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable.
After just a month coming here I’ve lost 12 pounds, lost 2 inches off my waist, dropped my body fat % down 6 percent, and gained muscles that were never there before. I feel more energized, stringer, quicker, lighter, healthier and all in all better about myself that when i first started. I recommend anyone and everyone to come out and try out a class. I guarantee you will come out feeling accomplished and satisfied. You will never know how much better you will feel until you try, so just like Shia Labeouf says «JUST DO IT!!!»

Exercise ranks really, really low on my list of favorite things to do. It probably falls somewhere in between moving and cleaning — one of life’s necessary evils. So when I find a place that doesn’t make me hate every minute that I spend working out, I know it deserves 5 stars.
I began coming to Rec Shop just 3.5 weeks ago. I hadn’t worked out in 3 years (yes, YEARS), and I was scared sh*tless to start. I actually threw up towards the end of my first workout. (Side note: Don’t start boot camp after gorging on margaritas and Mexican food the night prior.)
It kicked my ass, but Jason and Nray were nothing but encouraging the entire time. The words «boot camp» might conjure up images of a drill sergeant screaming at you to keep going, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth at Rec Shop. Jason is a true professional, and he understands that everyone starts out a little shaky. He pushes me hard enough to get results, but not so much that I might cry. And you just can’t beat a 45 minute workout. I mean, who can’t spare 45 minutes to do something good for themselves?
Each class consists of about 10 minutes of warming up, 25 minutes of intense exercise (a combination of cardio, weight resistance training with equipment, and floor exercises) and 5 – 10 minutes of stretching afterward. It’s fast and intense and there’s no time to stop and think about how much you don’t want to do something. Not to sound too much like a Nike ad, but you JUST DO IT. And it really is over before you know it.
Everyone here truly cares about each other. I get greeted warmly each time I walk inside, and the other people in the classes are super supportive of one another. Jason talks to everyone about their goals, he asks how we’re feeling, and he is aware of our strength levels and capabilities. After just 3 weeks, I already feel completely different. In the beginning, I struggled just to make it through the warm-​up, but after a few sessions, I found that I could make it through an entire workout and actually feel GOOD after. Sore, but good.
I’d be lying if I said «I love working out now!» But hey, I definitely don’t dread it anymore.

This has been the first boot camp I have been to and I enjoy it very much! Jason our instructor does interval training style boot camp working all the muscle groups
… the whole time we are moving! by the end of class I am dripping sweat and I feel the FAT melting off and my muscles getting stronger… it is challenge but at the same time you can go at your own rate. Jason is a huge motivator!
–If you have kids there is a little sectioned off area for them to watch tv and color in coloring books :)

Wow – What a work out! Not going to lie, I almost threw up, but it felt good to be active again. Jason really knows how to push you, yet still feel good at the end. Equipment is great. Positive energy. Clean facility (I like the turf area). If you’re worried about a babysitter, there’s a kids play area. I highly recommend giving the boot camp a shot – you won’t be disappointed!
Overall, two thumbs up!

Let me preface this by saying I’ve known the instructor, Jason, for years. He’s a friend’s cousin who I’ve had the pleasure of beating in Fantasy Football every year for close to ten years. For as long as I’ve known the guy though, I never knew this is what he did for a living.
A little about me: I’ve been hovering at about 185 lbs. (5’9″) for at least the last seven years. I’ve tried multiple diets and some have helped me lose weight but I would just end up gaining it back. I’m the guy who jogs every now and then and does a couple push-​ups and sit-​ups at home. I’ll be completely honest though; none of what I did or ate ever helped me get into clothes that are seemingly meant for skinny people so I decided it was time for a change. I needed professional help.
When I called Jay to inquire about the place, I told him «I’m not out of shape, but I’m also not in shape either». I probably should’ve left out the first part though because after the first day, I could absolutely say I’m not in shape… at all. The workouts are very intense and keep you moving the whole time. I’ve been going for a week so far and the workouts are still as hard as the first day but with Jay coaching you and teaching you the proper technique, you slowly get the sense that you’re finally «getting it» (even in such a short period of time).
I know if I continue to go, I’ll achieve my fitness goals. Jay is good at explaining how some of the moves are helping you reach your goal. I think that’s the thing I like the most. Jay and I had a short discussion about what I wanted to accomplish and every time you’re working out, he always seems like he has your goals in mind when doing the exercises. It just seems like everything he makes you do has some purpose (something I never felt before during other workouts).
As I mentioned above, I’m a middle-​aged, slightly overweight guy but it really is something anyone can do. The intro class was great. It really gave you a sense of what he’s all about and after the second and third classes, you knew that first class wasn’t just for show. He gives you a great introductory deal so it never hurts to try it out. You never really know until you see for yourself, right?
