R Vivo Therapeutic Massage

First time here… when I get there, there only one lady there so I waited an hour. Then after my mom and I massage were done I was getting my purse ready to go when the lady looked at me and asked for a tip BEFORE I even had time to get it. At first I had a hard time understanding what she was asking for. Then when I realized she was asking for tip and even spelling it out on her hand it made me anger. people are not obligated to give tips they do it because they want to. I paid $ 100.00 for that massage and would have tipped her if she didn’t ask and gave me time to get it. After that I kept her tip and walked out I won’t be back and just can’t believe people these days. I’m not one to write bad reviews but this really got under my skin.

I’m sold on the massages here, its become a part of my surf recovery regimen, then I tried something else. I had two back facials done over the period of a month and shortly after that month my other half says to me, «Your back looks great!». I thought I was seeing improvement in the skin on my back but hearing that from my woman confirmed it. Thumbs up to the Skin department as well as massage department at R. Vivo

Ok, I literally just made a Unilocal account so I could write this review.
This was my first time getting a massage. I was suffering from a lower back pain I got from working out and work. So I decided to see if I could get it rubbed out.
When I tried making the same day reservation, the lady told me a time and if it was ok that it was male. The time didn’t work because I had to go to work, but I thought that was very nice that she asked.
I went in the following day (today) and I was very happy with what I got. Their place is very nice and clean. They offer little snacks (granola bars, nuts, and water). The rooms are nice, clean and relaxing.
I ended up getting the owner, and she was awesome. She is a very sweet lady, and I enjoyed talking to her while I was there. She made sure I was ok and comfortable the whole time I was there too. I highly recommend coming here, and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. Yes, she did help my back pain, not fully, but I didn’t expect fully either, I am happy with the results though.
Notes: If you work in the food service industry, make sure you come here. You will be surprised on how your shoulders and upper back are probably messed up, like mine: P

My daughter and I went yesterday and though we were late and could only get 30 mins. done of our 60…,(stupid GPS sent us in wrong direction!!!) they were gracious and offered to let us come back on our same groupon for the other 30 mins! They were all very nice and friendly! The owner even came out and greeted us apologizing for the short massage as they were fully booked up! Very nice!
My massage was great! Yvonne really knows how to work those knots out! It just was not long enough, but will fix that on our return! I liked the office and space upstairs and loved the infused water, it was awesome and I will be making that at home!

Location was sketchy and building seemed very old. Massage rooms décor was so bland I felt strange and the bright light was shining through from outside making the experience less enjoyable. Also its right on central so throughout my massage I could hear every car, motorcyle, and truck drive by… so very annoying. Walls are thin also because I heard people sneezing and talking which was also disturbing. They did however crank up the music very loud i guess because they know of all the other outside sounds that are there however the loud music in itself wasn’t relaxing it was disturbing! i want to listen to calm relaxing music not intense dramatic loud music! They did have some snacks up front that you could help yourself to, I didn’t have any but it was a nice gesture– i do appreciate they took time to put that detail in. also the receptionist was nice. Also the staff was very friendly, I do appreciate their kindness.
Massage itself was ok except for the fact that I’m in PAIN! (will discuss in a bit), I did not have Rachel unfortunately since all the rave reviews seem to be about her =/​The lady I had kept trying to get a knot out of my back and it hurt very badly and wasnt relaxing at all– she never even communicated to me or asked how i was feeling and if i even wanted the knot out!
My right neck and shoulder/​back is still hurting very badly and I’m writing this review after taking a few Advil and drinking lots of water and still no relief… I didnt say anything to her at thr time because I thought she would remove the knot and all would be well but in the end the knot was still there and now I also have severe pain/​soreness! This is a first for me, Ive never felt worse coming out of a massage then going in, horrible! I’m considering putting a hot water bottle on it so i can sleep tonight, this pain is getting unbearable!
I do want to add that i got undressed to be worked on completely head to toe but my glutes weren’t addressed at all nor my thighs and I was kinda bummed because thats why I undressed in the first place, i could have just left on my undies jeesh! (sorry if thats TMI!) I workout a lot and my thighs and gluteus could have used a massage but oh well guess not here. She did do a fantastic job on my feet so I did love that, but it felt like I was going to get a cramp attack at any moment but thank goodness I didn’t. So the highlight of my full body massage was my foot massage… =/​
So basically I wont return because when I go to a massage I want to feel relaxed not feel like I pulled a muscle and listen to cars driving by… I really hope they fix this problem so others who come here get a better ambiance. They should put candles with aromatherapy and soft music with dim lighting and they need softer sheets with better temperature/​climate control in the rooms, (at some points it was too cold and others too hot) — thats how all the other massage places do it…

I came here because I had a groupon. The massage was very relaxing and the staff were very friendly (4 stars) The reason I have to deduct 1 star is because the sheets are kind of scratchy and the room is not dim enough.

I was the lucky recipient of a gift card for Valentine’s day. Having never been here I have to say this place is great. The staff is warm, friendly and very professional, the massage was excellent! They also offer a variety of spa services. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant experience.

I bought a groupon for a couples massage for r. vivo and decided to surprise my boyfriend as a valentines day gift. We were both very happy with the service we received. The massages were relaxing and great. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back for another massage. Loved it!

My husband and I have been to many, many places to get massages and this is by far our favorite place! Amazing service, very friendly people, and great massages! We’ve gone 3 different times now in the past month or so– LOVE it! We will never go anywhere else! Try it!

Friendly staff, personalized massage. Both times I have gone, Rachel has given me advice on things I can do to help my back and prevent further injury. She shows that she cares to help improve you health/wellbeing…and also gives a good massage.

I really wanted to love this place but I just didn’t have the same experience as other reviewers.
I recently came here for their Valentine’s special for the couple’s massage.
Don’t be fooled by the exterior, the interior was clean and had a great relaxing vibe to it. The front desk girl was pleasant but seemed inexperienced.
I enjoyed the snacks that were set aside in the waiting area– these little details were sweet.
The one thing that I really disliked about this place was their lack of communication (overall) and instructions.
The two female masseuse came out introducing themselves but I did not really catch their names. One of them said «so you’ve gotten a massage before?» and I said «yes» and that was probably the wrong answer because from then on that was all the instructions I got– none.
They told us to go in the room but didn’t tell us what to do, I had to poke my head out again to ask. Massage technique wise was definitely not the best I had: pressure was inconsistent even after asking for it to be harder, sometimes i felt like she was just grazing my body. At the end she said «would you like some water or tea?» and we both said water, please and thank you. Then both of them left. We were just lying there waiting and waiting and waiting… then more waiting… where was my water?
What should have happened was maybe them saying water was going to be outside waiting and to get dressed and come out? instead of just… leaving? Never assume that the customer knows what you’re thinking… ever.
When I was ready to check out, I was told by the owner that my voucher was only good for one person and that I had to pay for the second, which was fine, but I wish I had known that when I made my appointment, what a rookie mistake on the part of the receptionist.

Bought a couples massage from groupon for me and the bf for vday. Drove up and was not impressed with the location, to be honest. Let me just say that this is one book you should not judge by the cover! We walked in and were pleasantly surprised with gorgeous and tasteful décor. The staff was incredibly friendly and courteous. Our massages were soooo wonderful! The team of massage therapists catered to our needs, we were inpressed! We will def be goin back, do yourself a favor and check them out :)

My boyfriend & I went there last week for a couples massage after getting a deal on groupon. I wasn’t expecting it to be that great because of the low prices the place offers, however the place was so friendly and the massage was AMAZING. I had Rachel and my boyfriend had another women whose name I cannot remember at the moment, but both were so attentive to our needs and worked their magic on our stressed out backs. They really took into consideration everything we put on our paper work about how we liked to be massaged (I like to be more relaxed while he likes to just get all the knots in his back out) Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area or nearby area. Great staff! The only thing I would complain about is the location/​space because it is kind of hidden & small, however the owner said that they are expanding soon so that’s great!

EXCELLENT! I’ve been to a few Massage places and the room or bed is always cold. The bed was nicely warm and the place is extremely cleaned. Nice décor and warming, very welcoming. Parking right in the front, however it had a parking # for all the spaces, but did not specify who care park there. I parked there anyway and it was OK, but I should ask next time. The place is hard to find if your driving by; its located upstairs and you must drive slow to see the business sign. Karla the office manager was sweet and kind. Rachel the masseuse was wonderful and target my problem areas. She even have the massage lotion I prefer. Highly recommend and will be coming back even though I live 30 mins away! They have a wonderful special buy 5 visit and get 6^th free totally $ 150! They are open on Saturdays, but closes on Sundays and Mondays.

A girlfriend of mine and I decided to try this place out after seeing that they had a deal on Groupon. (Note that they are on the second story!)
The place is clean and smells great. The staff are warm and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

I got a salt scrub and a Swedish massage. I give the scrub a C and the massage an A. Customer service gets a strong B.
The Welcome
I attended to by Rachel Vivo (the owner) herself. She took me into the room and started to explain to me how draping works and that the room would be warm and the blankets would be warm. They don’t have a Vichy spa so she was planning to use warm towels during my scrub.
The Scrub
She used mango flavored salt scrub that smelled great. The room was a bit cold and she had to keep going to get the warm towels out of the little microwave that was in the room leaving me too cool during the process. She didn’t scrub very hard so I don’t think that the scrub did much good. It would have been nice if she had wrapped me with warm towels after each bit. During my massage she kept finding bits of salt that she had to flick off. I was covered with dried salt bits after.
The Massage
I wish the room was a bit warmer, but the massage was great! Halfway through I was asleep on the table. She used really good pressure. When she was done she suggested that I take a little nap and told me that she’d have some water for me when I got up.
The Customer Service
My appointment was at noon and I reserved a 60 minute massage and 55 minute scrub. When I got up off of the table it was only 1:46pm. Where did my 15 minutes go? I was going to say something when I came out, but she only charged me for the time that was given. I didn’t even have to mention it. I appreciate the honesty and customer service.
I love that she’s a Latina business owner, polite, welcoming and has great massage technique. I will definitely be returning.

I live pretty far from this place but I heard a really great review from my boyfriend to check out this place. So I finally decided to come in since I always have problems with my shoulders and neck area because of my work (yea working infront of the computer 10 hours a day) and boy I was very glad I did. I came in there with a purpose which is to get my all my problem areas worked on and that is exactly what I got. Rachel is a great therapist because I didnt really have to tell her much but she knows exactly what I needed. I hate going to get massages and then for a whole hour your therapist is talking to you. How is that relaxing? If you want a therapist that will give you more of a relaxing and rejuvenating experience rather than a gossip session, you should come check out this place. This place is also very affordable which is a plus!!!

You cant beat the prices here for a massage. Ask for Rachel she is the best for deep tissue and if you have should/​back issues. Nice office, clean and relaxing! They have tons of specials too. Best in the area!

Rachel and her magic hands. I have suffered low back pain for YEARS. I did all the usual physical therapy but after my 1^st visit with Rachel, I was able to stand and walk. She recommend Dr. Sam Ruiz (Life Force Chiropractic) for adjustments and between the two of them, I am a new women. I see Rachael every two weeks for therapy and Dr. Ruiz once a week. My goal is to be pain free and have the ability of movement to keep up with my grandchildren. This TEAM is making this a reality. Would I recommend Rachael? Yes!
