Do not go here. Carlos did an analysis on my car. Gave me a wrong result of the analysis. Charged me $ 65 it without really fixing anything. Recommended that it will cost $ 800 to fix the ABS system. I then took it to another shop and they did the analysis for free. Then replaced the broken part which cCarlos said that was fine. Everything costed me $ 190 and my car is running perfect now. I spent $ 65 for Carlos to fix nothing and recommended me to fix a wrong part that would cost me $ 800 bucks. I called in talked to him about it and got HUNG UP on. Very unprofessional. Do not send your car there. You will get ripped off.

For many, many years they have serviced all my cars which include my Ford, Toyota, Subaru, Honda, Jeep, and Lexus. All repairs have been solid, no returns or second effort needed as they got it right the first time. Friendly and professional. Always explain what was wrong, how they fixed it with recommendations for the future. They earned my trust a long time ago and keep it with each appointment.

They sound great on the phone but honestly they are crooks. Got an estimate based on there diagnosis for a fuel pump replacement for 798.00. They said the fuel pump alone was 329.00 and the rest labor. The pump was actually 112.00 and it took less than an hour to replace. The diagnostic was completely wrong as it did not fix the issue, and they left a hose off the intake manifold. Glad i didnt buy into there BS. Practice extreme caution with local repair shops. Use Google and YouTube. Thats how i found out how to replace the pump. The pump was available at all autoparts locally. And if the pump was retail for me imagine how cheap it is for them since they buy at wholesale. So 600.00 profit on a bad diagnostic and then they would have come back with more repairs. Truly sad they came across like decent people. Good liars… wasted one of my AAA tows on these fuktards.

Just got my car back from this place. They’ve been in service for over 20 years. My grandma comes here all the time for repairs and I usually do to if its something I can’t do myself. My transmission went out in my 2003 pt cruiser and they put in a rebuild one as well with a new clutch. Car runs great now. I definitely recommend these guys. Very honest. Thanks Gabriel!

We have been customers of Gabriel’s Automotive for quite some time now. It is very hard to find a shop that is not only good at what they do, but finding a shop that is good, honest, and takes pride in the work they do is almost impossible. This is exactly what we found at Gabriel’s shop. This shop shines, and will keep us as customers as long as we own vehicles.

I had taken my car to Gabriel’s after an accident. The work was completed in the amount of time they said it would be. When I saw my car, I was overjoyed. After dealing with the headaches my insurance company gave me, it was nice to get my car back looking better than I thought it could look. The bottle of hot sauce was an added bonus. Jay and the rest of the guys at the shop were very helpful, kind and patient. Very pleased that I made the choice to pick this shop for my body work.

Super friendly, great guys! As a consumer you want to trust the people you leave your vehicle with and I definitely feel that way with Gabriel!

We have taken my son’s Nissan Sentra to Gabriel’s Automotive for repair. We have found Gabriel to be very honest and friendly. They kept us informed each step of the way. We appreciate having a local repair shop. I would recommend them, but like anything else do your homework.

We have been coming to gabriels for years… they do a great job so much so that our kids cars get fixed here my daughter in law we recommend them highly staff is corteous and friendly..

Like other dude said, Don’t believe the review hype. Sure they are friendly and nice. For new customers so that they can take your money from you.
I brought my car in (a classic that was running just fine) to see why it wouldn’t stay running. «Jay» assured me not to worry they will look and take care of it, but it’s gonna cost $ 45 to diagnose but your allowed to pay later. (Again, obviously because he’s planning to overcharge regardless).
It took him 3 days to get to it and he never called me so I had to call and ask around about my car. All of a sudden they are «almost done with the diagnosis, so let me call you back».
About an hour later he calls and says «it must be the starter, but I can get you another one and have it ready tomorrow».
That particular part was replaced no more then a 2 months before I made it clear to him it’s not the starter. I instructed him to «check the starter but don’t replace it because it’s still under warrantee» he agrees to check and let me know.
Again, he never called after another 2 days so I call and he says «oh it’s ready I was just about to call you». «Looks like we got a new starter in there and your ready to go».
Not only did he do exactly what I told him not to do, he has the nerve to charge me over $ 250 in labor for a part that takes 30 minutes Max to replace. I know because I watched it done with my own eyes 2 months before. Then he marks up the part 150% retail cost. Again, I know because I just bought it 2 months before.
I understand a 15% up to 50% mark up is common practice, but 150% !!!
I explain to him my stance on the situation and he says «Hey, I didn’t even charge you the $ 45 diagnosis fee»
That was Jay’s only justification for all the lies & deceit.
He tried to change the subject and be nice but I just paid & left. Not before he handed me a bottle of Tapatio with a lame sticker covering the artwork. Tacky doesn’t justify this place. DO NOT COME HERE PERIOD.

Came to Gabriel’s through a recommendation and we are very satisfied with the fast work they did on our Audi, the car drives perfectly now, no weird noises anymore and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you Gabriel! & thanks for the Tapatio too!

Don’t believe the reviews that are written. I believed the reviews and had $ 1300 dollars taken from me. I am not going to go into everything that was done to my car but I can tell you that these people in this shop are nothing but crooks. «Jay» the guy at the front desk tried to keep my car for more than 3 weeks. He told me I was getting a brand new carburetor, and fuel pump. I later found out the carburetor was rebuilt. When the car was suppose to be fixed I drove it out of the shop and the same problem happened as soon as I left the shop. They chased it down to the distributor. They didn’t even fix the distributor right. Now I just paid him $ 1300 and I still have the same problem. I had to tell him to fix it or I will be taking it to another shop. Long story short he gave me the car back running but it was not where it should have been. I ended up taking it to another shop that charged me ¼ of the price he charged me for the fix he should have done. And they did it in 6 hours. It drives way better than what they tried to do. Sorry «Gabriel» and «Jay» but you guys are crooks. Take your car there if you want to. But if he tells you he needs to keep the car there for a couple of days to see if it is running good. Call Bulls$%t.
If you are a good mechanic you don’t need to dive a car for 2 days to make sure you fixed the problem. Fuck this place

These guys totally helped my best friend Frank out with a new radiator for his dodge dually on his way to a Utah hunting trip in October. He was stranded in Riverside County from San Diego as he was towing a 10,000 pound trailer. He got there late on Thursday night. They owner and workers stayed late, ordered the radiator, installed it bright and early the next morning. He was able to park on property with his travel trailer as they fixed his truck.
The owner really went out of his way to help him. He was fairly priced, professional, and the work was completely in a timely manner. The repair was done perfectly and his truck has run smoothly since the fix. I personally called the owner to confirm he could help and he was nice. I used Unilocal to find him for my buddy while he was on the road. Thanks Unilocal.The owner was great. My buddy said the shop was well maintained. I wished he was in San Diego. Shoot I’ll drive to Chino to get work done because this place is worth the commute. If you work there congrats! That’s how to run a business. Best Regards, Scott

I will NEVER bring my car or refer anyone to this shop. The mechanic jay lied to me saying I was unable to get a new starter for my 03 car. And the owner came off like he was unconcerned that his mechanic would do that saying, «he’s probably wrong». I had already called around and knew he was lying. They wanted to charge me $ 45 to look at it. Mind you they replaced my started once before with a rebuilt and charged me $ 370.44.

Gabriels Automotive and Collision are friendly N Honest! I took my BMW into Pedros place in Glendora the other day for an oil change and told him to check my car because the low coolant level was showing. He came back and said my radiator had a small leak and quoted me $ 754 for a new one. I called around and found Gabriel in Chino for $ 150 less, so I left my car with him instead. After checking the problem, Gabriel called me back and said the radiator is fine and it’s only a hose and will only be charged $ 150.Man, who does that now or days! this mechanic is good n honest! For now on, I’m taking my business to Gabriel’s Automotive and Collision and recommending him to everyone!

I took my Mercedes to Gabriels and they said I needed a new coil, vacuum line and camshaft adjustment solenoid totaling $ 925.36. I called back 15 minutes later and said to hold off as I wanted a 2^nd opinion. I was told that they already had it apart so I went back to Gabriel’s and it was just sitting in the garage. They had just put in the coil. I called a Mercedes repair shop and let them know that they were charging me $ 185.00 each for 2 solenoids. They were very surprised as after I read them the Mercedes part # on the box they said the parts cost $ 29.45 each not $ 185.00 each.
When I was questioning the mechanic he got really nervous and then he stopped to help another customer who walked in the door and then got in his car to take it for a test drive and left me standing there. I was shocked. He just left me in the middle of our discussion and took off not even saying a word to me when I was questioning their quote for $ 185.00 part that costs less than $ 30.00!
I told another worker to not do any more work. They charged me $ 110.00 in labor to put in a coil.
I just took my car to a Mercedes service and they showed me that to change the coil only required unscrewing 2 screws. The coil was $ 72.00 and my bill was $ 235.76.
Obviously, I will not be returning to Gabriel’s! If I could do less than 1 star I would!

Office staff very friendly. Mechanic Mike very knowledgable. I will return! I love the Chino location!

I’m from Los Angeles and just happened to be in Chino when I realized the plastic splash shield on the bottom of my Prius had come unscrewed, and had probably been dragging along the road for a while. As I had had a similar problem with another car, I wasn’t too concerned with the problem itself — Just concerned about getting the problem fixed in a timely manner so I could get back on the road.
As this repair was something I had previously paid no more than $ 15 to fix, I was shocked when they told me I first needed to replace the part for $ 200. When I insisted they just tie the part back up, they said that would cost $ 55 as the part was badly mangled and it would be difficult for them to make it fit back in place. When I suggested that was too much, they proceeded to lie to me and explain the piece was connected to the front bumper and that the front bumper would be loose if I didn’t take care of it. Knowing I was getting ripped off, but in too much of a hurry to drive to the next place, I paid the $ 55 and went on my way.
Needless to say, went to my regular place in Los Angeles that week. They showed me the part, the damage, and the work that was done. The piece only had minor damage, and although the work that was done to fix it was adequate, I was told the $ 55 charge was «outrageous,» and that it should have been comped. They got a good laugh out of the «connected to the bumper» story.
Also, there was serious damage on my front tires that needed to be attended to. Gabriel’s didn’t catch it.
Next time, I will ask to see the damage before I start negotiating prices and not take someone for their word. Lesson learned.
