I stopped going to the dealer over 10 years ago; a dealer will only look out for their own and to get the most money out of you.
Not with Chino Hills Service Center. I trust them. They don’t gouge you or request unnecessary service to your vehicle. This is why I have been using this service center for over 10 years.
I am not family, but they treat me like family.

Best mechanic I’ve ever been to. They do great work and are honest with what actually needs to be done to your car (no unnecessary upsells). The total price for maintenance for the car ended up being UNDER the quoted price. If you’re tired of dealing with scummy auto mechanics that are more concerned with selling you than solving your car’s issues, come here. Good people doing good work.

It’s difficult to find an honest mechanic. It took me over a year to finally get recommended to this place. Now that i have been coming here over 3 years, the job was always done perfectly on time. Give them a try, you won’t regret it. They even have a shuttle service in case you need to be dropped off.

I had been going to Chino Hills Service Center since I bought my car in 1997. I have sense moved out of the state and truly miss them. Henry took great care of my vehicle and Sonja would make sure I got home if I needed a ride. Over the years I got to know their whole family and Henry Jr and Susan were great kids. (now young adults) I wish Henry and Sonja along with their family the very best. If you live near (within 50 miles) of Chino and need a good honest mechanic, I highly recommend Chino Hills Service Center. Tell Henry and Sonja that Gary and Karen sent you.

I went there for the first time and had a great experience. Both Henry and Sonya are both very friendly and helpful. Since the job was going to take several hours and I did not have anyone to pick me up, they offered to give me a ride home so I would not have to wait there. Nonetheless, I appreciate the fact that Henry was very detailed in explaining what needed to be done and honesty. I think the price is reasonable as well. I plan to go back there next time my car needs service.

If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would, this place is amazing. Sonja and Henry are the nicest people in this business by far. This is my first time here and I don’t think I will EVER EVER take my wife car or my own anywhere else. Sonja told me she has 4 family members here in the states and they all work at this business, everybody that walks in the door is her family. If you work or live in the area I HIGHLY suggest you come to this place and become part of the family. 1 Million Stars!

I found Chino Hills Service Center when my elderly father-in-law’s truck engine died, on the freeway, near Chino Hills. We first had the truck towed to the closest Chevy dealer. However, after receiving the estimate to replace the engine from the dealer, I immediately started looking for alternative garages. Reviewers on Unilocal directed me to Chino Hills Service Center and I am very thankful that they did. CHSC provided several options to my father-​in-​law for replacing the engine and explained the pros and cons of the options. They took their time to speak with us, always returned calls and were always professional, patient and extremely respectful. The engine runs perfect.
A few months later my father-​in-​law returned for a recommended oil change. However, he got lost (since he actually lived in Hemet and was not familiar with Chino Hills). When he finally did arrive, a day later, Sonia was so sympathetic for his mishap that she comp’d his oil change. What a nice gesture and reassuring of CHSC’s integrity. They didn’t have to do that but it certainly demonstrated their personalized service and that they appreciate the value of the customer.
This last December, my father-​in-​law passed away. My wife inherited the car which we need to sell. In order to do so we wanted to try to obtain service records. So, I called CHSC, hoping they could help. I spoke with both Sonia and Henry, who both expressed their condolences. When I asked them if they had service records, they didn’t spare a moment procuring the records. They even had to search back into their system backups to locate the documentation from the engine install, which had been a couple of years but they both insisted on gathering any info that they had. You don’t experience this much anymore, but this is how customer service should be.
I’ve never written a Unilocal review but the customer service, communication, and quality of work from CHSC has inspired me to finally post my first one. Go there. They will treat you like family and do great work.

The ONLY mechanics I trust with my car and money.
I’m sort of an amateur mechanic, but when I’m in over my head I bring my Subaru here. I have always checked their work afterwords. All their work gets done, and done well.
Their warranty is for real.

Been here about 3 times now and this is probably the best place I’ve ever taken my car. The whole shop is very professional and the people there are beyond friendly. The first two times I came here I had to get an engine mount fixed, tune up, and some other stuff done.
Before I came here, I went to some other places to get a quote and this place gave me the best deal. I signed up for the Royalty Rewards thing which was free and the Car Care Club to get some other coupons which was pretty cheap. What I like about this place is that they actually use quality parts and tell you what kind of parts they are using before they put it in. The one thing that stood out about this place is I didn’t feel like i was getting a run around so I will def keep keep coming back here and recommend it to anyone who is looking for an old fashioned honest/​quality car shop.

My experience is the same as the other two reviewers. I’ve been with Henry since around 1990. He’s always been competent, fair, honest and reasonably priced. What else could you ask for in a mechanic?

I’ve been a customer of Chino Hills Service center for over 20 years! I feel so old writing that — but its the truth. Henry and Sonya have always provided consistent, honest, great service!!! Its one of the primary reasons why I’ve always had Hondas AND they’ve lasted for many many years (all of my Hondas made it over the 10 year mark and were still in excellent condition to given away to family members who are STILL driving them!!!)
Finding a great auto mechanic falls into the category of finding a great doctor!!! These people care about providing great service and value their customers and their cars!!!

This place is a wonderful place to get your car serviced! I went here for the very first time to get an oil change and everyone is so nice there! It’s more of a family environment and most of their customers are long time customers. The owners are very nice and they are very honest. They don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need and they have this cool customer care check/​coupon booklet you can buy for only $ 110 which includes 4 free oil changes, a free tire rotation and % off service deals and they never expire.
This place is kinda hidden away from actual busy streets but I am glad I found it. The receptionist was also very nice and gave me a rose after my car was done. Overall, you should really go here if you don’t like going to places where they try to sell you things you don’t need (i.e. Jiffylube, ezlube, etc.)
