Cakes Come True Bakery

Very disappointed in service, although their was a groupon out and traffic flow was going to be heavier then usual, my order was not ready the day I needed them by. If you are a business who signed up with groupon you know you are going to be busy, no excuses. I called 2 weeks in advanced placed an order for my nieces bday party when I called that day to pick them up she was unaware of the order. I was at the location for pick up and no one was there. I got no courtesy call and arrived to a bday party dessertless. I got an apology but do u think my niece cared, no. She was disappointed as I was. You would think the owner would give me a free dozen cupcakes or SOMETHING for putting me through this but all I got was my dozen I paid for and a strawberry added to the cupcakes which was nothing, whoop dee do! Will never buy again from this place.

Groupon refunded my certificates because it’s a false advertisement. No where it states that it does not have a store front and to call in advance to buy ONE cupcake! Called the store several times and no answer, no returned calls until a week later as if she just woke up and in a grumpy mood already. She said I had to call in advance WELL LADY I WAS!!! Who the heck knows when ill be craving for cupcakes??? I wanted them that day! If it mentioned it on Groupon or their website, I probably would have been fine. Worse business ever!

Where do I begin. I contacted Kinnie early June (approx June 5^th) and explained to her that I wanted the cupcakes for my birthday on June 30^th. She told me to text her and she would get back to me with a pick up date of June 28^th or 29^th. I text her again on June 21 asking what day I could pick up the cupcakes. No response. I get a text on July 3^rd asking if July 11^th would work. It just so happend that the 11^th was good because I was taking off work to handle other business. On July 10^th I get a text at 6:19pm that she needs to change the pickup to July 20^th. I explained I work in LA and cannot meet her between 5−6pm and asked if she had weekends. She agreed to July 21^st after 4pm. I schedule a lunch with friends in Chino which is approx 30 mins from my home so I could pick up the cupcakes on July 21^st at 4pm. Now it’s July 20^th and I text to confirm the 21^st. No response. I call Kinnie at 10am on July 21^st to let her know I will be in the area at 1pm and will meet her at 4pm unless she can do earlier. I get a text from her at 1:49pm saying can it be a «little» after 4pm? Like 4:45p (That’s not a little-that’s almost an hour). But ok, I agreed to 4:45pm. I get a text at 2:57pm she is still on deliveries in LA and can I come tomorrow. I told her I can’t come tomorrow. I pointed out to her that this is the third time I have tried to get these cupcakes. Three strikes you’re out. I agree with Annette-«As far as I am concerned, your cupcakes, no matter how good you think they are, will never make up for bad business and terrible customer service!».
Kinnie is very unprofessional. I mean who runs a business by text messaging? She does not have any customer service skills-​Not once did she CALL to apologize for rescheduling or thank me for being patient and accommodating. Kinnie didn’t offer to deliver to me since she inconvenienced me on more than one occasion. I am very disappointed because I actually wanted to try her cupcakes. «Cakes DIDN’T Come True» for me.

Don’t waste your time with this place. What a joke and a rip off. I bought a Groupon from here and could not get anyone to answer the phone, return my call or messages even when leaving a request on the website. I had to contact Groupon with the issue and then finally got the lady to call me. We set up a pick up time for me to get the cupcakes, (finally after about a month of my trying), and THEN I get a voicemail from her the day before saying she’s going to have to change the date to 2 weeks later. WTF. This is clearly not a well run or promising business. Do us all a favor and don’t list on Groupon again. I will be sure to recommend they not do business with you again either.

If I could give them zero I would, where do I even begin I have never meet an onerous more rude then her, she does not have a store front so she sells out of a commercial kitchen. The first time I placed an order, I went to pick them up and she was not there. So I placed my order again and the day I had to pick up my order I had a family emergency and told her I wouldn’t be able to make it, she told me she would not be making my order anymore even though I had already paid. Oh and as a side note my sister also picked up some cupcakes from her and said the jalepeno one is gross and the other 3 were very dry her family didn’t eat them. My delight cupcakery in Ontario makes the best cupcakes in this area that I know of with out a doubt!

This woman is probably one of the most hard working girls around. She runs a bakery through a community kitchen. Her cupcakes, frosting’s, fillings, cakes, and brownies are fresh to order. You do have to connect with her to place the order and she tries to accommodate all special pick ups/​requests. This is not her facility and often has to change her times to meet kitchen availability.
Customers need to realize that she runs a small bakery line and it is not her kitchen! She is trying to honor all groupons and fast as possible. Call at least a week in advance to have your order filled. Try to be flexible and open minded with perhaps trying other flavors that may be available instead of insisting on the exact ones listed on groupon. This would help expedite your orders and you are still getting a great product.
Respect is honored on both ends. Yelling, screaming, and cursing inside the bake house is very inappropriate. Remember people these are cupcakes! I have always been taught and need to be reminded as well that you get more with sugar than vinegar. Don’t let other opinions cloud your personal judgment!

I tried to get my cupcakes because I too had a Groupon certificate and was told the only pick up time is tomorrow from 3−4p. I work for a living so this is not doable and I am not going to leave work early to pick up cupcakes. Notice how this information is not in the fine print of the certificate. Maybe they should not advertise on Groupon at all if they are not going to provide the cupcakes that they are trying to sell.

This isn’t a review so much for the cupcakes, but more on the service (or lack thereof) as I was not able to taste the cupcakes! I purchase two groupons for a 4 pack of cupcakes from this place. I was planning on attending a little dinner and planned on bringing over the cupcakes. The groupon states to place your order 5 days before you need to pick them up. I called, and called and called to place my order and left message after message… no one ever got back to me. I went online and sent an email message. Later on that evening, I received an email from «Kinnie» apologizing for the delay, but as she only had 1 employee, that employee could not keep up with the messages blah, blah. I had been leaving messages for over a week! She also stated if I had not yet cancelled my Groupon, she could have the order filled by the 4^th. I had at this point contacted Groupon and they told me they would try and resolve the issue. I explained what happened and that I would be willing to use the Groupon if she could have my order ready by the 4^th like she said. Groupon then contacted me and said, unfortunately that was not going to happen afterall. Needless to say, groupon refunded me my money. I understand that hopefully in using Groupon to promote your business, you experience a great increase in sales and repeat business, but to not be able to return phone calls, at least just to let them know, you did receive their call, is just bad business! And then to make arrangements to have the order ready by a certain date and then oops — sorry, can’t do that either. BAD! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I hope your business does as well as you did handling this situation. As far as I am concerned, your cupcakes, no matter how good you think they are, will never make up for bad business and terrible customer service!

Now… I’m a sucker for red velvet. These red velvet did not disappoint. Not one bit. Very moist but very dense, does that even make sense?! But, I have issues with super light air filled cupcakes. You place a phone order & then pick up on the weekend so these are goodies you gotta plan for.
