Fish is always fresh, servers friendly, good music playing.

Having moved back home from Long Beach for the summer, I had been looking for a good Poke place that was nearby and comparably as good as the places I usually go to in Long Beach. Oke Poke was one of the first places that I tried, and luckily for me, it was pretty good. They have a serving style similar to Poke Bar in Long Beach and Cerritos, sort of like chipotle.
A couple of the other reviews that I read before going on mentioned that the servings of fish that they give were small, but I thought they were decently portioned. All of their toppings were pretty fresh, as I arrived a couple minutes after they had opened their store, and the sauces they provided were good. They also offer a free item for people that check-​in using Unilocal,so that was nice too.
Overall, I’d say my experience at Oke Poke was good, and I will definitely be coming back.

This place is quick and laid back. The flavors are good, portions are big and prices are reasonable. Will always stop by if I’m in the area.

DELICIOUS! The fish is always so fresh! And their white rice is soft! I usually get a large bowl (5 scoops of fish) with white rice base. And then create my own. They have a good variety of toppings!
Fav fish: ahi tuna, salmon, & spicy tuna.
Sauces: Spicy mayo & their signature «oke sauce» so good!
Tip: If you go during dinner time (5:00 — 7:00 pm) be prepared to wait in a good sized line. But the wait is soooo worth it!
Every time I leave this place i’m pretty full, so satisfied, and thinking of the next time I’ll be back! lol. Also, it doesn’t hurt that «Rainbow Café» is right next door for some yummy desert/​milk tea!

I love Poke Bowl! But I am very surprise that Oke Poke has 682 reviews and 4 stars. Maybe when they first opened that would have been a valid statement but now… NO WAYYYY.
Customer Service: They hired so many people in the last couple of month that have no customer service experience. When they first opened they use to greet people as soon as they walk in and when you approach the counter they would smile and be friendly as they serve you. Now all what they want is to keep the line going and they don’t even hear your order half the time.
Portion: the portions they give (now) are so small! Today I asked for their regular size bowl which it’s 3 scoops of fish. I asked the girl for spicy tuna, salmon & Ahi tune. She picks up a ½ of scoop of spicy tuna puts it in my plate, a scoop filled with 3 to 4 TINY pieces of salmon and a normal scoop of Ahi. I looked at her and said this is a very small amount of fish, she looked back at me and said the spoons we use are small. What kind of answer is this???
Also, now everything is extra charge. You ask them for extra cucumber they add 2 slices, you ask for extra seaweed they want to charge extra fee. The only thing they put too much of is the rice!
I’ve been coming to this place weekly since they opened and it’s started very good then slowly it’s descending and now they simply don’t care! They have enough customers and they could care less whether people are happy or not with their service :(

Oke poke… more like nope poke.
I got the regular bowl with spicy tuna, tuna, and salmon, white rice, avocado, cucumber, masago, seaweed salad, and imitation crab meat. The poke is fresher than most poke places, but the portions they give are so small! The people in front of me definitely got a bigger portion than I did, that’s for sure.
One of the downsides is they don’t list the sauces on the menu so when they ask you «What kind of sauce do you want?» I just said. «Can I get all of them?» The sauces were nothing amazing.
The overall taste wasn’t bad, I just wished they would give more because for a bowl that big, you should fill it up or it shouldn’t be considered a regular size.
Check in for free miso soup or hot green tea!

Chipotle style poke bowl making with a variety of sauces and toppings. Many combinations to be made here!!! I LOVED the crunchy garlic bits. They threw me off a bit at first since they were so garlicky, but I really enjoyed the crunchy texture amidst my pile of mixed mushy poke. I had garlic breath for hours after though.

I am so shocked that Oke Poke has 600+ reviews and 4 stars. Let me just put out a disclaimer for everyone reading this: I am not from the Chino Hills area just stopped by because it was on the way to Palm Springs.
After chatting with the guy making our bowl I am saddened to find out that there is only one other Poke place in the area. Very different from the OC area where poke shops are popping up everywhere.
Anyways I came by around 7:30PM? I would say thats kind of a late dinner. The line was all the way to the door and it took about 30 – 40 minutes just to get to the front of the line. I don’t understand why it took so long. Not only that but it was very warm inside the shop with kind of a funky smell. I don’t know about you but warm temps in a shop that serves raw fish is concerning to me. I kind of just let the temperature of the shop and the smell go because I was already here and didn’t want to spend time looking for something else to eat.
So I get to the front of the line and start ordering. When I get to the sauces I asked the girl about some of the flavors because there was not description. I went with the Oke sauce and a side of the spicy mayo. She had described the Oke sauce as being a little salty/​ponzu so that’s what I was expecting.
After 30 minutes of waiting I finally finished my order and sat down to eat my poke. Only to find out that it was not good at all. There was no flavor in the sauce at all even the spicy mayo was flavorless. And my fish was warm…
Needless to say Oke Poke was less than Oke.

I was on the verge of being hangry! Oke Poke was a place I had bookmarked on Unilocal,so this was an opportune time to check it out since we were nearby. Before my hubby and I walked in, we could see the line was long. I took that as a sign that the food was good and worth the wait. As you walk in, the line forms to the left and there are 2 big TV screens displaying the menu choices and explaining a little about Hawaiian poke. You can order Hawaiian style bowls or customize your bowl. The best way to describe the ordering process is like ordering a sandwich from Subway, or a pizza from Pieology or Blaze. You choose the bowl size, the base, the add ons, fish, sauce, and toppings. The regular size bowl is $ 8.95 (3 scoops of fish) and the large size is $ 10.95 (5 scoops of fish).
I got the regular size bowl with brown rice, cucumber, seaweed, crab, bean sprouts, avocado, salmon, spicy tuna, and albacore. I chose the Oke Sesame sauce and topped it off with toasted sesame seeds, crunchy onion, garlic flakes, furikake, and chili flakes. It was full of flavor and the serving size was just right. (No more hangry feelings!)
Oke Poke is on par with Poke Place in Rancho Cucamonga. Speaking of Rancho, the Oke Poke menu says a location will be coming to Rancho Cucamonga soon!

This is a good place to try if you’re in the mood for Poke. I love the concept and I’m a fan of the poke bowl. The food is filling and the employees were very patient with us while we were trying to decide what protein options we wanted. There are a ton of sides to choose from — pick one, pick them all! No one judges here. (^_​^)
The only complaint: I wish they had lemon slices since the fish here seemed to have a stronger fish taste compared to other places I’ve been to.

If I had come to this place first before going to that other Poke place a few days ago, I would be more enthusiastic about this review. But, coming here didn’t quite blow me away as much as I’d hoped it would. I mean, the place is nice. It was new; clean. It was a bit on the small side, however. I liked the fact that they had a menu/​instruction board right up front that tells you exactly how to order. The food was good; service was ok… and pricing wasn’t bad. All in all, it was a good experience. I guess I just wish that their serving was a bit bigger. The fish pieces that they have are smaller (if I were to compare them to the other Poke place). .. but, that’s just me.
I still recommend this place, though. There isn’t a whole lot of Poke places in the area, so this one will more than do.

This place is delicious! Iove that masago & avocado is included at no extra charge! I got a large bowl with half salad & brown rice, you get to choose from so many toppings (crab meat & avocado are considered toppings) then 5 different fishes & sauces. I got albacore, spicy tuna, tuna, salmon & scallops with their oke sauce & spicy mayo all for $ 11.83 including taxes.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who’s in the area! It’s sooo delicious and its like sushi but without being overly full and cheaper!

I come here about once a month. For the price, I think you get a good value. The regular bowl with 3 scoops of fish is enough to fill me up (~$ 9) For you guys out there, definitely get the large with 5 scoops of fish (~$ 12).
They have good pre-​marinated choices (my fav would be the Bailey). If you feel that they have shorted you with the scoops of whatevers, you can give them a friendly reminder and they will correct it.
I also like the extra toppings such as furrikake, dried garlic/​onion flakes, chili flakes, and sesame seeds.
Every time I have been there, the employees have been friendly and helpful. I love how the seaweed salad is included as a side without costing extra. They didn’t have yellowtail at any time that I’ve been there. I’m not sure if they ran out or if it’s not an option.
Minus one star because the albacore always tastes a bit «off» so I don’t order it anymore.

Staff– They have a fairly young staff. Majority of staff look like teenagers! I have to say that the staff is very friendly and trained well.
Atmosphere– plenty of seats for this comfortable establishment. Reggae and island music playing in the background which is quite pleasant. I feel like I’m back on the Big island!
Location: great location and near a high school. It’s hard to poke spot in the inland empire that serves quality poké!
Tips: if it’s your first here ask the staff for their favorites! I recommend firecracker bowl with half salmon/​tuna.

Located across the street from the Shoppes, near Albertsons, lies Oke Poke! They just celebrated their one year anniversary this past Saturday, and they’re going to open stores in Brea, Lake Forest, and Rancho Cucamonga! :D They were having a celebration from 11 – 3 on 5÷14÷2016, and I stood in line to get my first oke poke: P
Going with everything, the process seems pretty standard. They even have 2 different options to choose if you don’t wanna build your own!
For BYO, it’s
1. Choose regular or large (3 scoops or 5 scoops)
2. Choose your base (white rice, brown rice, salad, chips, cucumber (+$ 1), bean sprout)
3. Veggies? Cucumber, avocado, onion, crab meat, ginger, wasabi
4. Fish? Salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, yellowtail, albacore, shrimp
5. Toppings and sauces.
I got the regular white rice w/​salmon, tuna, albacore bowl. For some odd and peculiar reason, the workers forgot to ask me what toppings I wanted. So I didn’t get any toppings smh. I did get the poke sauce though!
All in all, the ingredients were fresh and the fish were good. The crab mix was especially refreshing and even tasted über fresh. lol. The sauce was alright, as I got random parts that weren’t salty and parts that were way too salty. I had everything blended in all in one, and all of that put on top of the rice, so that was one consolidated part. I would say that this was better than average (and better than I would have expected from a poke place in Chino Hills). Glad to hear they’re opening up in other cities!
And cuz of their anniversary, I got a free Oke Poke shirt and 20% off the bowl: P HEHE. Also had some ahi sliders that were alright (not enough flavor in the tuna). Go party it up at Oke Poke cuz poke is here to stayyyy.

My first time coming to this poke place so I decided to try their specialty bowls! I got the dynamite one and it was superrr flavorful. I like how the sauce was nicely marinated into the meat and they didn’t charge extra for avocado like some places which is always a plus!
Will definitely come back again and try the garlic crunch!

I love poke. I went here with a friend & we got the bowl mixed per her request. Just a little tip. Don’t do this. It makes your bowl look like vomit, all the red poke, white rice, mayo sauce and seaweed all swirled around. I couldn’t eat it.
This isn’t Oke Poke’s fault, just my weird friend’s. But it really ruined the place for me. Also I think the poke should be marintated. It’s not. Still fresh, but I think there is such a thing as giving people too much freedom to choose. I’d rather just have my premarinated poke & go on my own way instead of having to make a dozen decisions in line & worrying that I didn’t choose right.
Pretty decent prices. I might be back.

Three words: clean, fresh, tasty!
I’ve been here a few times for lunch. It’s nice to find a good poke place for a quick in-​and-​out bite to eat. They have increased their selection of fish and the crab is extra tasty. I don’t care for the seaweed salad (too oceanic for my tastebuds), but maybe you’ll like it.
I love their beverage machine. You can pretty much have anything you want at the touch of a button… Fabulous!
You can order off the menu and have them do one of their bowl or salad creations or make your own (chipotle style — except avocado is INCLUDED, not like at that chain Mexican fast-​food joint where they charge you a couple of bucks extra for a little guacamole).

Was passing through Chino Hills driving home from a road trip when we decided we wanted something fresh and healthy. Much to our surprise we found this place on Unilocal with stellar reviews. So we said to ourselves…
Well Okie Dokie. Oke Poke it is!
We were actually one of the last customers in, and we explained that we had a long drive ahead back to San Diego. The guys at Oke poke did a great job with our food and even let us say in a little bit after closing so we could finish our food.
I admit after coming here i crave poke all the time now! If i lived in Chino Hills i’d probably be here all the time.

Oke Poke serves poke and Hawaiian shaved ice. It’s located near of the end of a strip mall in between La Olla Mexican Grill and Rainbow Café.
You have the option of making your own bowl or getting a specialty bowl either large — five scoops of fish ($ 11.95) or regular size — three scoops of fish ($ 9.95). Choose your choice of base (white rice, brown rice, salad, chips, cucumber, or bean sprouts), vegetables (cucumbers, avocado, bean sprouts, or onions), fish (salmon, yellowtail, albacore, tuna, spicy tuna, kani crab, or shrimp), and choice of toppings (heat sauce, ginger, seaweed, oke sauce, wasabi, toasted sesame, spicy mayo, masago, or scallions).
I’ve had the create your own bowl regular size with salmon, white rice, cucumber slices, wasabi, kani crab, and oke sauce. The salmon was okay, I’ve had better. The oke sauce provided no flavor on the fish whatsoever so I used the wasabi for flavoring. The kani crab was good. Generous portions of the salmon and large scoop of the kani crab. The cucumber slices were fresh. The rice was served hot which made the fish warm also if not devoured fast enough.
The last time I was here, I found a fish bone in one of the salmon pieces though. Yikes.
Service was okay. This is an assembly-​line type of poke place. At the beginning of the first visit, I did have to tiptoe and yell over the glass. For some reason, the employee couldn’t hear me the first few times when I said regular bowl. Everything else went smoothly after that. For the second visit, the employee heard me no problem. Both employees were very quick in taking orders making it fast and efficient.
The interior looks a bit barren. There is a small seating area. They have a freestyle Coca-​Cola machine where you can choose over 100 different Coca-​Cola drink products. I’ve had Cherry Sprite which was a bit fruity but good.
Overall, the poke here was alright. I’ve experienced better. Finding a fish bone in one of the salmon pieces really steered me away. I won’t be back.
