I love this place food is always cooked perfectly. The price is a bit high but the portions are big so it’s totally worth the price. Also, the wait is pretty long but in the end it’s worth it so make sure you first put in your name before you do anything else.

Terrible service but I blame the hostess and manager for over seating the section!!! Not happy at all! To make matters worse after we told the manager what was happening, he still did not help his server… Terrible manager, support your serves or get out of the business!

We came here for my Brother’s College Graduation and it was wonderful! If you can request a server, I would recommend Ian. I’ve been to Lucille’s many times, yet this was by far the best experience. Ian was incredibly helpful when I was ordering and even when they made a mistake on my order, he retrieved the corrected one right away anddd I was able to keep both plates. He split the checks with no problem and checked in with us regularly. Thank you so much! Plus the food was great(:

The food always taste great here but when you tell a customer 30 minutes wait time, I except to be seat in 30 minutes or less. My boyfriend and I have been waiting for over 50 minutes. Yes, we could have easily left but our precious time has already been wasted waiting… So might as well wait an extra 10 – 15 minutes. If management is reading this, you should retrain your host/hostess. You are wasting people’s valuable time — don’t make a promise of 30 minutes if you won’t be able to seat a customer on time. Server was nice. She took our order immediately.

Lucilles in Chino Hills beats all Lucilles. Their customer service was outstanding. Anthony did a great job ensuring our food came out in a timely manner. He also refilled our drinks without asking. It seemed he was reading our mind the whole time. It’s this type of service that makes us want to be frequent customers! Keep up the great work Anthony.

The host was extremely rude to me and my friends. I called Lucille’s at 7:45 pm to reserve a spot for three people. Lucille’s told me our table would be ready anytime between 8:10 — 8:15 pm. I arrived at 8:00 pm and was told by the host(caucasian male) that I would receive a text in order to be seated. Upon checking in, both the hostess and waiter were making racist remarks about our ethnicity such as, «These rich Asians, these goddamn Asians». I was extremely offended. Also, we waited until 8:55 pm and still did not receive a text confirmation. I had to approach the host and ask him what was going on, as soon as he saw my ‘impatient’ and ‘angry’ face, he quickly seated us(he did not apologize). I had to complain to the manager about the host; she compensated us with a price deduction on our bill. I highly recommend the manager, not the host. He was a horrible mess; it makes me never want to come back. We felt neglected and discriminated against.

First time came here for lunch with my family during Memorial Day. Vibe was good, dine in area looks nice and clean. Service was good. I like the biscuit! Even the server always ask you if you’d like more biscuit. I got smoked beef brisket, it tastes so good. But the bun kinda little burnt for me. It comes with 1 side, i pick fries. Wow, the fries with thin cut amazing, not oily, crunchy and so perfect for the sides. I always dipped my food with hot and spicy sauce, its amazing. Not too spicy for me, but its really good combination with you dipped it with the fries. But it took to long to get our food, i understood meat or steak take a while to cook it. Even, i was almost full already with the biscuit, lol! Little bit pricy, but its a good place for you who wanted to hanging out with your friend or just chillin with your family.

You have got to B-B-Qidding me… Just kidding I got nothing I just wanted to use that joke. So my girlfriend has never had Lucille’s B…4 and i have only had it once B…4…so…we decided to Queue up for this place on a cold Tuesday night with fairly empty stomachs. We decided to split a Backporch with Tri-Tip, St Louis Ribs and BBQ Chicken. Winner winner. the chicken in this dinner is not a B… but an A+. Probably the best BBQ chicken I’ve ever had. although I haven’t had that much BBQ chicken in my life so take that as you will. So let’s get onto the MEATANDPOTATOES of this reviews… Oh. I forgot to mention our sides were the Garlic Mash and Creamy Mac N Cheese with an A LA Carte order of Corn Bread! The Tri-tip first. it was quite dry and the sauce they gave helped to rehydrate it a bit but I was honestly disappointed with it. St. Louis Ribs… should’ve gotten the baby back or beef ribs instead :(I didn’t particularly like the the flavoring of the ribs and had to use a lot of the Memphis BBQ sauce which is by far my favorite sauce out of the three that Lucille’s had. The BBQ Chicken was definitely the crowning jewel of the meal! The sauce they coated the chicken was excellent! Overall a great meal but a little on the pricey side but I would consider coming back here.

Came in with my mom for dinner because we were craving the biscuits with the apple butter but was disappointed with the food. All of our food the onion straws, biscuits, bbq chicken sandwich and my mashed potatoes came out cold. I wasn’t impressed by the taste because it tasted very bland and won’t be coming back here to eat. The service was great. Ryan was our server and he gave my mom some various recommendations when ordering my brother a meal to go.

Firstly, this Unilocal review is long overdue! I was looking for a venue in the Chino Hills area to host a surprise birthday luncheon for my husband. After visiting several places, I decided on Lucille’s BBQ.(There was no question, the other venues in town were not nearly as responsive or interested in my business!) Martin the General Manager was my first contact and was wonderful to work with… in fact, he even recommended I buy Lucille’s gift cards at Costco to pay for my party to save $$! Great tip that I truly appreciated! We were given a private room in the back and it was just perfect! Our party was a classic car themed party and the colors and atmosphere of Lucille’s could not have been better! A few days prior to my event, I met with Mike Secrets(opening manager) who helped me finalize the menu and drink selections. He too was wonderful to work with and his recommendations were spot on! Our guests could not believe the magnificent BBQ feast we had! We had ribs, tri-tip, sausage and loads of sides served family style. The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests commented on what a great job Lucille’s did and how tasty the food was! Our server was Bianca, she was dedicated to our party and could not have done a better job! She was always there and responsive, providing our guests with drinks and whatever they needed! The service we received from her and everyone at Lucille’s was outstanding! The party was a great success, went off without a hitch and in the end we had lots of leftovers to take home and provide to our guests! The most surprising part is when the bill came, I was more than pleased! It was so affordable, and even less than I anticipated(plus I saved $ with the Costco gift cards!) all in all the best party I’ve ever hosted! We’re die-hard Lucille’s customers now. In fact, the next night for my husband’s actual birthday when I asked him where he wanted to go for dinner, he said«Lucille’s» and we did! Thanks again Martin, Mike and Bianca and the rest of the Lucille’s staff for making our event so memorable!

I inquired with the hostess regarding wait time as they appeared to be busy and we had a party of five and were hungry. She stated it was a 30 to 35 minute wait and stated they would text me, ok not bad. An hour later… I inquired again, her comment, your party is next they are just clearing some large parties. So we wait still another 45 minutes, ask again and she stated, oh your next again. If you can’t honestly tell people it’s an hour and a half wait you are not doing your business any favors and will likely lose more business! Terrible customer service from the hosting staff!

So my best friend and I stopped by here because we were craving for banana pudding and word on the street was that Lucille’s can whip one up. We couldn’t just order dessert, we had to get some Bar-B-Que. We ordered the full size ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. That plate was good, no complaints there. Again, we came for dessert. We ordered the old-fashioned banana pudding and Chris’s famous bread pudding. We tried the bread pudding first and it just wasn’t good. The flavor was really bland and wasn’t worth ordering, so we handed that one back. Next up was the old-fashion banana pudding,(what we originally came for) I was highly disappointed. We didn’t send it back because we sent the first one back. I guess my expectations of Lucilles desserts were high, next time I know to pass it up.

Lucille’s is a solid choice for a BBQ place in an area with many BBQ options The brisket is seasoned well. The ribs are cooked properly — meaning tender, but you have to give the meat a tug to get it off of the bone. The sauce is too sweet, even the spicy sauce. I usually opt for the Memphis sauce since it is heavy on mustard and not as sweet as the other sauces. The sides are decent. Happy Hour prices are very reasonable. Service is better in the bar area. We have always gotten very strong service there.

When my family came in the host told us the wait would be approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We noticed that the place wasn’t packed at all and 25 minutes later I went up to one of the hosts and asked how much longer she thought we would have to wait seeing as how the place wasn’t too busy. Rather than assessing the situation and seeing if we could be seated earlier, she just told me that I’d have to wait another hour as that was our given approximation. Luckily we were called about 10 minutes later, but I found it quite lazy that she didn’t even bother to see if there was any open tables and insisted I wait my given time. The service when were seated was great. Our server was genuinely nice and made us feel welcomed. The food came out very fast, within 10 minutes. The food, however, was not that good today. The ribs were overcooked and very hard to chew and the pork sliders were also overcooked. My favorite part was probably the biscuits and butter given before our food. They were fluffy and sweet. Been here multiple times and the food was delicious on this occasions. Will probably come back hoping the food quality improves from today.

My husband and I LOVE Lucilles and their food is always amazing. But at this location their service SUCKS! We’ve had waiters disappear and managers have to take over and other times we never get refills and like tonight cold biscuits, MIA servers and one of my sides came out 10 minutes after my meal. I would rather have waited the extra 10 minutes and had a complete meal. But, our food ended up being yummy. Just wish the service was better cause this location has less crowds!

I’ve only been to Lucille’s a handful of times, mostly because I’m not a huge fan of bbq, but I went with some coworkers this time around and I was not satisfied. Food: Since it was lunch time, we all ordered small dishes. I probably would’ve ordered a full rack of ribs but since it was a work gathering I thought it may not be appropriate. I ended up ordering a Tri-tip salad, which I’ve had at other restaurants and it’s usually an okay dish. This one in particular had so much onion it was overwhelming. I usually don’t have a problem with onions, but I may as well have ordered a raw onion salad it burned so much down my throat. I had to sort through my salad to just take the onions out. There also was barely any tri-tip in my salad. So I pretty much just got a salad with a garnish of tri-tip. I couldn’t even finish it. I did eat the Tri-tip and left the rest for leftovers. The only thing I really enjoyed during the meal was the biscuits. I normally don’t eat bread that’s brought to the table. But I did… and it was because I was so hungry… which I’ll explain in the service portion. Environment/Ambiance: It’s your usual casual bbq joint. Large and big enough for family gatherings. The restaurant is in the middle of a busy plaza with a good amount of parking. Service: Here’s where I was not happy. We were probably one of two of the parties in the whole entire restaurant. Sure, we missed the lunch rush so they had down time, but it took 20 minutes just to get our bread and another 10 just to take our orders. The bread helped while we inevitably waited the long wait for our entrees. I know for a fact that some of our orders were mixed up, even though we didn’t want to admit and correct it. We were checked on maybe once during the entire meal and by the end of it, I alone specifically asked for a box and somehow everyone else received boxes BUT me. I ended up having to get up from the table and retrieving a box myself. Tips: If you’re wanting to check this place out, go after the lunch rush or before the dinner rush. Although I can’t guarantee good service. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for more bread, it was the highlight of my meal.

Overview Great service with great food… When made«right»! For appetizers their burnt tips is a must! Pros — Service is GREAT — Food is full of flavor, and visiting New Orleans often, I can honestly say that this is one of the closest to NOLA food out here in Cali! — Location is great because it’s never really TOO busy. — Large portions — Their Chicken is .com — Must get their Banana Pudding and Jambalaya Cons — Twice they made my steak wrong. Asked for Medium and they gave me a medium-well the first time and second batch was well-done. Luckily they paid for mine and my brothers meal. — Very Pricey, be prepared to drop at least 50 – 60! if you come with one other person. Personal Thought If it wasn’t for the overcooked steak this place would have been a 5⁄5 because I literally have no complaints about anything except for the steak that was unfortunate for them. I was going to give 3 stars but because they paid for all the steaks they sent out for my brother and I, I threw in an extra star for their amazing service.

Although I’ve eaten the food from this location before, this is the first time I really sat down and enjoyed a meal at this location. It was kind of a last-minute decision to head to Lucille’s tonight. In fact, I’m on a diet and I thought Lucille’s may actually be a bad idea. But there’s nothing like the call of ribs at 8 o’clock at night, to throw that theory completely out the window. We were a little worried that we wouldn’t be able to get in being that it was a Friday night with no reservations, however, when we called ahead our names were listed and when we arrived we were sat immediately. The booth was spacious and comfortable and our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The order was quickly taken and the food arrived within 15 minutes. As usual, the ribs were perfectly done falling off the bone. There’s just something about Lucille’s barbecue sauce that is just the perfect combination of tangy and sweet and it makes my mouth water just writing this. Needless to say, the onslaught of both comfort and delicious creates an experience that is always awesome. I will definitely be back to Lucille’s as much as my waistline/tfjeans can tolerate. Lucille’s has earned 4 stars from me. On my last visit I was a bit annoyed with the hostess for taking another group ahead of us even though we checked in first. That was rude but the hostess apologized and we moved on. The server, Amina was awesome! She was very friendly and checked on us regularly. I hope we sit in her section next time. The food is always great! I mean what meat eating human doesn’t like BBQ? You have to question a foodies loyalty to food if they don’t like BBQ. The food is plentiful and you can easily share a plate but if your like me, sharing is not caring and not an option. Go for one of the porch options that way you can sample different meats. The bar area is a cool place to hang out as well. They have a great happy hour and it is self seating. It’s kind of annoying when people start crowding around tables but it’s a bar so I guess it’s to be expected. Come out and enjoy the BBQ. It’s not St Louis or Kansas City but it will meat your needs(did you get it? Meat?, I know that was dumb). Happy eating!
