Very kind staff! Great cleaning! Free with my basic dental insurance (included X-​Rays, Cleaning, and Fluoride Treatment)! Professional behavior. Great advice. Good availability (hours). Minimal appointment overhaul (short delay between scheduling & visit). Non-​evasive procedures (minimal sensitivity)!

Dr. Whelan and his staff really know how to treat a patient well and tell you only what you really need to have done! From moment I called to schedule, the front girl was super nice. They got me in the next day, a Friday, which was great because it was my day off. Other places I called were closed on Fridays and Saturdays. Once I got to office, which is right in same center as Harkins movies, I knew this would be a good experience. They have a really nice atmosphere with all updated equipment. The assistant took my xrays which didnt hurt at all and I could see them on the tv while they were being taken. Pretty cool. Then Dr. Whelan came in, looked at my xrays and in my mouth and assured me I still had zero cavities and just needed a cleaning with the laser. I was relieved to hear I still had no cavities because I had a tooth that was bothering me. But, he told me it was normal sensitivity and to start using sensodyne tooth paste. Then when the girl cleaned my teeth she was very gentle and the laser really worked well. She used some special rinse after the cleaning and laser that made my breath smell fresh for a week! All in all it was a great experience and anyone looking for a great dentist, with great staff should go in and see Dr. W!

Courteous and professional

Nice dental office, but SHADY business practices.
I paid a total amount of $ 212 for my dental visit and xrays and was told that my insurance reimbursement would be refunded to me. Once my insurance company paid the dentist office, they refused to refund the amount to me and instead added an additional charge of $ 80 for a procedure I was not informed of at my visit. I was NEVER told about this procedure and yet the dentist office deemed it fair to charge me for it.
Their office manager is rude and unhelpful — basically a great example of how to NOT do customer service.
Bottom line: you CANNOT charge people for services without disclosing it to them first.

I had a very good experience here. The doc was super gentle and staff super nice. Im not a dentist fan and dental care fan but after visiting Dr. Lim Im good to go for future visits… I think the most important part was the education on dental health.

I actually had a great experience at Chino Hills Dentistry. Starting with the girls in the front and the «billing person» to the assistants and the doctor himself. I went there because I had chipped one of my back teeth. With what I thought was for sure going to need a crown, Dr. Lim was able to fix it with just a filling… and he didn’t even have to give me a shot! And the tooth has felt fine ever since. The hygienist also did a great job when I came back for my cleaning. The office itself seemed to be new and very clean and also has TV’s in all the rooms so you can watch TV while getting dental work done… pretty cool! Overall I would (and already have) refer Chino Hills Dentistry to my friends and family!

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a very long time and decided to check out this dentist because he was close to home. The hygenist was extremely good, but my bad experience was due to the dentist and the billing person. They did not disclose to me that my cleaning was not a «regular» cleaning and was instead a deep cleaning that is not fully covered by insurance. Just to get my teeth cleaned cost me a whopping $ 800. I would have NEVER gone for it if I knew up front that’s how much it was going to cost and that there was a lower level of cleaning I could have gone for. I also did not like the dentist Dr. Lim. He seemed to be calculating in his head how much money he was going to make off of me and the billing person stood right next to me to add up all the charges as he listed off of for her all the things he thought needed to be done, including a root canal on a tooth that he could find nothing wrong with. Many dentists have reputations for being scammers, and I wanted to add this one to the list. On top of that, they wanted to sell me teeth whitening. Yuck, it’s no wonder so many dentists get a bad rap.
