History
Established in 1905.
Seigfried Schachne was joined in business by his daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Mortimer Friedman in 1920. Following WWII, Herbert and Kenneth Friedman, grandsons of the founder became partners with their parents. Managing now is Herbert’s daughter, Linda Brown. Linda’s son Seth Brown has joined the company making the fifth generation to be involved in the business. Serving the community for over 100 years, Globe handles a full line of residential and commercial furnishings.
