Anna is the bomb dot com. I’m super picky about my stylists and it has taken me YEARS to stick to one for more than a few months. Not only does Anna do a GREAT job every time, we’ve become buds! She’s always happy to squeeze me in for a quick fringe trim when I can no longer see where I’m going. I trust her to tell me if my ideas are good or not; I always defer to her opinion since she’s the expert! I really like that she keeps up on trends and is knowledgeable about the most recent fads. While it’s always good to bring a picture of what you want, I’ve never had her miss the mark if I just describe what I want. And it always comes looking out better than I had hoped!
If you’re looking for a stylist who will make you look fab, look no longer!

Willow gave me a fantastic haircut here earlier this week! I’m a guy that has grown my hair out for 2 ½ years without a trim (I don’t like getting my hair cut for some reason haha), and she was able to round it off and trim years of fuzz and split ends while keeping the length. Easily one of the best haircuts I’ve had, and I’ll definitely be back. KILLED IT!

Anna did a great job of using her balayage techniques to bring out some warmer colors in my hair. She is great at listening to her clients and helping them figure out what they want. I was also so impressed by how natural she was able to make my color look. The combination of her warm and friendly personality with her stellar technique made it a great visit. Everyone should make an appointment with her!

I have been going to Anna Anderson at Satori for several months now. I am pretty specific about the type of blonde I like and she nails it every time — even when I use ridiculous words to describe the type of blonde I want. She never makes it look unnatural and always blends it with my natural color really well so it’s not chunky. Whenever I leave, she makes sure I leave feeling happy and maybe a little sassy. ;)
All in all — go to Anna! She is warm and so friendly. Feels like I’m visiting an old friend!

called looking for eyelash extensions. the girl who answered the phone said they weren’t taking any new clients. when i asked if she knew anywhere else in town she said there was but didn’t really know the name of the place and then wouldn’t ask anyone there if they knew the name or anyone else in town. she was seemed like she just wasn’t interested in helping me. i can understand if you don’t want to send me to your competitors, but if you won’t take me as a client then at least help me a little. that would be a good business practice. she was short and rude. NOT a good business practice!

So disappointed with their mix-​ups. Waited months for the appointment. Couldn’t find me in the system… Rescheduled… Gave me an appt. time that didn’t allow for my service needs. Confirmed appt. that wasn’t the right one and then said «We can go back and forth all day… do you want another appt.?» Wow! Customer service 101! We all make mistakes, but the receptionist made zero effort to accept responsibility for what was a real inconvenience to me. Would not recommend!

Satori is amazing! Jen always gets the color just right. Asks specific questions to determine what I currently love and don’t and based on a few answers she reappears with color and works her magic. I have very thick hair and lots of it and I always leave the salon feeling new and refreshed with shiny, sleek locks. She is always broadening her education and training and just returned from an eyelash extension workshop (getting them next week). I would refer her to anyone :)

I have just moved to Chico and was referred to Satori’s and met up with Fantastic Dana who is a gentle, fun, and very pretty hair stylist. She not only listened to what I had in mind, she was also patient with what I did not know what I had in mind. Loved her caring patience. The Salon is very relaxing and open. I just love Dana and Satori’s. So glad to have found you Dana!!! They even have a beauty goddess who does her trick over you at the hair washing stations.

This Salon is the best in Chico. Some say it is harder to find a stylist than it is to find a life partner. Well, consider this your lucky day, cause this is the place. Dana has been my stylist for a few years now. She is able to understand what I say, even when I am having a tough time explaining, and she improves on what I thought I wanted. An amazing eye, and meticulous hands, I always leave feeling renewed! Dana has been patient and competent through all kinds of hair fiascos and disasters, and is always patient and accommodating. She takes pride in her work, and her salon, but without noticeable ego. She is a true gem! I have actually traveled from the big city to Chico, just for a haircut from Dana!
The salon is classy with an edge. It looks a bit industrial, but the cream brick walls and beautiful art soften it, as does the bright, yet gentle light! As an artist, I love the contrast! They carry plenty of excellent hair products, and are usually circulating some beautiful earrings, and some hand crafted cards or local fare of some sort.
Satori, in Zen traditions, means the aspect of enlightenment which is «seeing one’s true nature.» I believe Dana transfers this concept into hair design, a near spiritual experience!

I love Satori I have been going there since they moved to their new spot by Tin Roof on 7^th and Broadway. It is a fresh, bright and professional salon. They carry tons of Bumble and Bumble products and have a wide range of capable stylists ready for you! Also they just added a nail specialist!

Satori is now located at 627 Broadway #120, next to Tinroof Bakery.

For Chico, this is definitely as good as it gets! I had an incredibly important interview coming up and so I was wanting to darken my hair a bit, which I had never done. I called Dana and she said she knew what I was trying to achieve and she could do it. She did an absolutely amazing job, but I didn’t think it was me. She went so far out of her way to make me happy and achieve the perfect look when I wasn’t feeling good about the change that she out of her way and had me come in on a SATURDAY (two days before the interview)! I couldn’t thank her enough! She did a wonderful job. They also use great product and it’s a very nice atmosphere– definitely in the top for Chico!

I love Satori! First of all it’s very well decorated, thanks to it’s owner Judy who is hilarious. It’s also very conveniently located close to downtown. I get my cut and color done by Brittany who is the only person I trust with my hair now. I actually come down to Chico from Portland just to get my hair done by her (well and maybe to see my family too). I know that it’s really hard to find a good salon in that area, but you should definitely give Satori (and Brittany!) a shot.
