Car buying should be like any other purchase you make. You want to buy without a hassle or having anyone try to sell you something you don’t want. Having had little car buying experience prior to working with New Autos Inc. I found the process to be pain-​free. I told them what I wanted, gave them my pre-​approved loan information, and the car was delivered. Countless family and friends have purchased our vehicles from Bernie and his team.
This past year I bought a vehicle from another dealer on the other side of the country and realized how truly awesome the experience with NAI was in comparison. With NAI, I told them what I wanted and got what I wanted… and it was a really good deal too! There were no haggling games or any issues really. I would gladly do business with them again and continue to recommend them to anyone I know that is looking for their next vehicle purchase.

We absolutely loved our entire buying experience with NAI. Jackie was referred to us and she didn’t disappoint. She was very thorough in her research and was always very cordial whenever I would call or text her and if she didn’t have an answer she would find out the information and get back to me promptly. The car we wanted, a 2015 Nissan Murano, in blue with the features we wanted was very hard to find so she suggested we have her order it from the factory. It was going to take about 3 months but we would be getting it at invoice. We agreed since we weren’t in a rush. 2 weeks after we ordered it she found our exact car at a dealership about 250 miles away. It was delivered to Chico within a few days. She got us 0% financing and a $ 500 rebate from the dealer so we got it for about $ 2800 less than MSRP! We couldn’t be happier! The paperwork was a breeze and we probably were at their facility no longer than 30 minutes. The big red bow on the hood was a nice touch as well. We will never buy a car from a dealership again. NAI deserves 5 stars!

My son found the car he wanted on the internet, but we were not thrilled with the idea of driving three hours and then working with a regular car dealership. I spoke to James at NAI and a few days later the car was here!

Let’s just start this review by saying, JAMES is the man! As a first time car buyer I called him and immediately confessed I was anxious and nervous to make this giant choice! He instantly eased my fear and told me to come in to chat with him about what I was looking for in a car. I knew exactly what I wanted and he found me exactly what I wanted. It took half an hour to explain any details/​have him ease my fears and within three days I had a brand new ford focus in my possession. I went down to pick up my new ride and there was a beautiful giant bow on it, just another simple touch that made this new experience even MORE amazing. He was easy to get a hold of, prompt in his responses and great at continually dealing with my anxious first time car buyer nerves. I am more than pleased with my vehicle, more than pleased with the service I was given, and more than pleased with New Autos Inc. as a company. I have been telling ALL of my friends about this great company and will continue to rant and rave about their great services. This is the way to buy a car people!

This was my families second experience with New Autos Inc. It was amazing. James is amazing. I didn’t have to sit through a sales person trying to push a car on me that had more options than I wanted or needed and more than I wanted to spend. I told James what I was looking for: Make, Model, Options, Color and what I wanted to stay at. I love my Cherry Red Kia Optima. He found if for me in about 2 hours and I had in in 5 days. New Autos Inc is the only place to go to find a new or used car with everything you want. They search everywhere for you, hassle free with quick results. They found a hard to find used 2014 GMC Acadia Denali in 5 days for us. Ken Kirkman was our salesmen and is great to work with. Paper work was trouble free, quick and accurate. We also purchased a used car on their lot from Ken 3 years ago. There is absolutely no pressure because they come through with what you want.

I talked with Bernie over the phone a couple of times over the course of 2 days for a total of 15 minutes. On day 3 I picked up my new car (Mazda3 Hatchback). I got the price that I wanted and it only tied up 30 minutes of my time. Amazing. My family has purchased two cars and sold one with the crew at New Autos Inc. and we won’t go anywhere else if we can help it! Their business is courteous, honest and extremely well priced, whether you are buying or selling a car. There is absolutely no sleazy car dealership tactics, no leaving the room to «ask a manager», no guilt trips about not taking what’s on the lot, no attempts to bait and switch, no heavy sale pitch. They’ll tell you honestly what they know, and when they say they will call you back, they *actually do*. It’s really a pleasure to deal with this company, I can’t say enough good things about them.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. You see, I’ve never actually written a Unilocal review. I’m like 95% of the rest of us who just google something and read what everyone else has to say. However, my experience with this place was so utterly atrocious that I had to write my first official review.
So, the story goes like this. I had heard about New Autos Inc from someone who used them and had a decent experience. I thought «heck, car buying kinda sucks and if this takes the pain out of it, then sure, why not!» I called NAI a month ago and I spoke with James. I was still early in the buying process and exploring my options for what I could get with what I wanted to spend. I gave him a few ideas of makes/​models and we discussed that some of what I was interested in was out of my price range. Nevertheless, he said that he would poke around and see what was out there in my price range and get back to me within the next day or two. In fact he said, «and if I don’t get back to you by the end of next week, call a search and rescue team to come looking for me!» He took down my phone number and my email. A week went by. And then another week, and then a 3^rd week. Seriously, I wondered if I should actually call a search and rescue team.
So after nearly a month of no call, email, text, or idea if this place still existed, I took it upon myself to call back and attempt to work with someone else. You see, I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a second chance. The second time around, I spoke with Ken. I immediately let him know the situation and that I had already spoken with someone, however, that someone had not returned my call or emailed me with anything. He apologized and asked what I was looking for. I gave him nearly the same «schpeel» that I gave James about what I was looking for and where I was in the buying process. He said «let me poke around and see what we can find and I will get back to you within a couple of days» (sound familiar?) I got off the phone and thought «great! I’m glad I gave these guys a second chance.»
10 minutes later, Ken called back. He said «I see that you already were working with James, so he is going to take over and help you find what you’re looking for.» I said «but but but… can I work with someone else?» And he said «James will call you back very soon.» I decided to hold out hope for the last and final time that someone would WANT MY BUSINESS! I mean come on now, I get it. I’m a woman, I’m picky about cars, I’m not totally 100% certain on what I want, and I have to buy something within a price range. But I also have a job, make good money, know what I don’t like, and really wanted to do business locally.
You can likely imagine where this story is going. James never called back. In fact, I had to call Ken a final time to make sure I got James’ name right and to give him a heads up that a not so happy Unilocal review was in the works.
My advice to anyone in Chico looking for a new car: While the concept of NAI seems easy and practical at first glance, these guys don’t know how to run a business. Buying a car can be tricky and to do business with guys who can’t even return not one but TWO phone calls back is a risky affair (heck, why do you think auto fraud lawyers exist?!) The car buying and selling business is shady — and gaining your customers’ trust should be of utmost importance. It’s as simple as that. These guys are shady, their business is shady, and as much as you wanted to go local like me, take your business to Roseville/​Sacramento and save yourself the hassle of trying to fix a broken system.
My advice to NAI: If you don’t need the business, if you don’t want the business, and/​or if you don’t want to work with a customer, by golly, JUST TELL THEM! There are plenty of competitors out there dying to take our money and put us in new cars. I get the whole «hands off, no commitment» approach you’re trying to take, but in 2014, customers don’t chase down their own business. «Superior customer service» just doesn’t work like that. Especially not in Chico. This is a small town and most business runs off of word of mouth and personal referrals. I sooo wanted to give you guys a chance and to tell all my friends, family and coworkers to buy their next car from NAI.
But sadly, that’s not going to happen, and in fact, at the drop of your name, I’ll tell anyone to run and hide. Maybe you rejected me because you didn’t like my phone number or my raspy voice or my choice in cars — that I’ll never know. But one thing is for sure — we’re breaking up and this time, it’s you and not me.

The team at New Autos Inc is outstanding. Purchased our second vehicle from them and won’t shop anywhere else.

Ken at New Autos Inc got us the car that we wanted in record time. I am so happy with our Ford Flex (which are hard to find). I had a list of items that were must haves with in a certain budget and he gave us exactly what we wanted in the price range we requested. He was easy to talk to, honest and did what he said he was going to do. I will definitely work with him again!!!

We bought a new car from Ken at New Autos Inc and we couldn’t believe how easy and hassle free it was to buy a car from them. Ken answered all of my questions over the phone and gave us a price we couldn’t get any local dealerships to beat. The customer service is unbeatable, the prices are awesome without having to haggle for hours, and they were fast. We couldn’t be happier with new autos inc and will definitely be buying our next car from them and recommending our family and friends to them.

My boyfriend and I drove out from Oakland to New Autos Inc to look at a used Lexus IS 300. Chico was pretty far for us (three loooong hours) but we didn’t mind it! The guy my boyfriend was emailing (Ken was the sales persons name) about the car prior to making the decision to drive out there was extremely friendly and answered all of his questions to the tee. He didnt once pressure us to come in, which is super refreshing since most used car salesmen are… well…rude.
We got to the dealership and the car was already outside the door ready and waiting for us to look at. We did the full 360, got all our questions answered, then took it for a test drive. The salesman was extremely knowledgeable and even has his own garage at home where he fixes up cars, pretty cool!
Long story short… they were willing to work with us to get the price we were able to afford and were super understanding and didnt pressure us at all. In fact at one point, he asked us if we wanted time to walk around and think about it, and if we didnt feel like it was a good deal then to be free to just leave and call him later!
Not only is the service spectacular, but they take pride in the cars they sell, whether new or used. I’d highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a car :)
