Gelayo Frozen Yogurt & Gelato

Tasty, self-​serve frozen yogurt. The place is well organized, clean, and bright. They have a wide variety of flavor a and toppings. The fruit was fresh, and they have really wonderful cookie dough. Stay cool and enjoy the yogurt.

They’re yogurt is mediocre at best, and when it’s $ 11.00!!! For a not even full cup!!! What in the literal heck man? Never have I ever been charged so OUTRAGEOUSLY for yogurt. Getting a cup and filling it to about 2/​3, to «maybe» ¾s full and getting charged that??? I almost wanted to push my yogurt over the counter, and onto the very snide, arrogant, cashier’s shoes. I have been to several places where it’s «weigh and you pay» and gotten the same amount I always do, and never EVER has it been more than $ 8.00 AT MOST! I can name literally 3 or more different places that will give you 2 times more for literally half the price. Definitely will never be coming back.

Excellent selection of frozen yogurt, gelato, and smoothies. Very delicious, sweet treat. Clean, nice establishment with nice, pleasant staff.

Frozen Yogurt Toppings & Gelato is Great! But the owner can be a lil rude at times. when it comes to samples, or one time I had baby marshmallows on my ice cream and I ate 1 marshmallow before paying and he got pretty angry about it and confronted me. but we come pretty regularly with our entire family. so. yeah.

My family has been coming here since they first opened and we think they are wonderful in every way. The owners are so welcoming and kind, and their Gelato and frozen yogurt are amazing, and they have SO MANY toppings to choose from. Their prices are a little higher, but their product is also much better than the alternatives in town.

So many options!!! I am amazed, love the self serve option on everything, toppings was expected but sauces so good! Butter scotch, hot caramel and hot chocolates syrup at your disposal amazing fresh granola and fruit selection! I will be back

I had a great experience here! They do have a $ 3 minimum for credit card purchases but honestly it’s easy to spend 3 dollars there and a lot of places have a 5 dollar minimum. I give this place 5 stars. I went with my son and got a very small serving for him and we we’re waiting for my husband to join us from next door I went to pay and realized that I hadn’t reached the $ 3 minimum yet. I told the woman that I had no other way to pay but that my husband should be coming in just a few minutes. She told me that that was fine and she opened up the second register to hold the weigh amount of the frozen yogurt I had gotten for my son until my husband came. When we finally did pay I looked for a space on the receipt to leave a tip and there wasn’t one and I obviously didn’t have any money to tip. I asked the woman if there was a way I could tip her and she told me not to worry about it and then complimented my son by saying how cute he was. Later another man who worked there came out and smiled at me and my son and told us to have a good day. I will be coming back to this place anytime my family and I feel like a treat. The yogurt is delicious and the customer service is top notch. This true community focused establishment.

Plenty of yummy toppings and great flavors! I’m kind of picky but every time I come it is so hard to chose because they are all good!

Froyo is one of my favorite things on this planet so I decided to try this place. The fun part about going to a new place is trying all of the flavors, however, they limit you on the amount that you can try… lame. I asked for where the sample cups were and they handed me one cup and told me the limit was two. Anyways, good flavors and good toppings. Great froyo place overall.

A wonderful little frozen yogurt place. I love their boba so once in a while I’m in chico I’ll always go get boba there. So far I have try the mocha, green tea, milk tea and taro flavor. All were delicious. The owners were really polite and helpful. Definitely a must for boba fan!!!

Tons of toppings to add the your delicious assortment of frozen yogurt and gelato. The folks behind the counter are very friendly. Store is extremely clean and well laid out. I like the chocolate frozen yogurt myself. Prices by weight and not bad, two of us and we get out around six bucks. If your in the area try it out, we live in oroville and make a point to stop by here once in a while.

Frozen yogurt and gelato are actually good, but owners spoil it by being complete sticklers being able to use debit or credit cards. Our order was 3 CENTS SHORT of $ 3…so we had to get change out of the car. I used to work in credit card processing and their cost is no different for $ 2.97 than $ 3…plus they surcharge for using cards for any amount. This place is close to home but I think we will be going out of our way to go elsewhere.

Fantastic froyo place, owners are super nice. A very large selection of toppings both fruity and sweet. Many low and fat free options. Very clean.

The owner was very rude. My son asked to sample the coffee Gelato and he said NO, you won’t like it. I said well he wants to sample it, he might like it. Sure enough that was the flavor my son picked.

I had been going to Jon & Bön’s for years but their places seem to be in decline so we decided to try this place. We’re glad we did: This place everything Jon & Bön’s is not. It’s dapper, surgically clean, bright, efficient, organized, and the service is excellent. There is no waiting in line. The owners seem to always be here, and they are very concerned that you are happy with your experience. Try this: show up at closing time (or just a little after like we accidentally did) and you will be greeted with hospitality, a smile, and an open door.
The frozen yogurt and all the toppings are self-​serve (thus I get my dish exactly how I like it) and the prices are reasonable. I’m headed there right now.

Man, this place is awesome. The interior is nice and clean in appearance with TVs and music. They have a decent selection gelato (though not as good as Powell’s), some good soft serve yogurt options like no-​sugar added. The best part though is that they have tons of topping options like breakfast cereals, granola, candy bars, fruit, and liquid toppings. It is all delicious.

Came in today because I felt like having yogurt. I’m a guy that normally wouldn’t get sweets for himself. I’m glad I went in before checking out the Unilocal reviews, else I would’ve missed this.
I think the ratings are a bit cold (yes, I did). I met the owner, she was very attentive and respectful. I spent a good 5 minutes conversing and looking around before ordering. Although I had my sights on yogurt, I ended up getting a Green tea smoothie with boba! I always get boba (it’s soft, jelly, and delicious) when available. I frequent Sacramento tea houses and didn’t think I’d find a good establishment in the North, but this place is awesome. I was expecting to pay more but ended up paying less than 4 bucks for one drink!
There’s a huge selection of toppings to pick from: candy, fruit (very fresh), cookies, etc. As others have mentioned, the store is incredibly clean and shiny. This will be my go to place when family visits over the summer, I’ll let them know Chico has more to offer besides Starbucks.
Before I left the store, I ended up getting another smoothie for my co-​worker because mine tasted so friggin good. I got her a mango boba smoothie. She says it actually tastes like real mango and is the best she’s ever had.
I don’t know what’s up with the yogurt melting stuff but my smoothie sat for 40 minutes and was still icy (I put it behind a computer monitor and forgot). I’ll update this review after I try the yogurt too.
