At Discovery Place, we want students to enjoy learning, and believe that this can best be accomplished by making school a dynamic and fascinating place to be. Our goal is to encourage curiosity and questioning in students. Discovery Place’s role is one of facilitating, monitoring and guiding; of teaching students how to learn by stimulating their natural excitement for learning. Discovery Place is an environment where students are free to explore their world through a curriculum that is challenging, engaging, and relevant to them.

History

Established in 2012.

Michelle is the owner/​teacher of Discovery Place Child Development Center. She holds a multiple subject credential which allowed her to teach the International Baccalaureate Curriculum for four years in Kuwait and India. Michelle is currently a Masters in Educational Leadership candidate at Chico State. She enjoys walking to one-​mile with her two young children and husband, Mark.
