Youth Guidance at Ravenswood school has been providing quality childcare and services to the families of the Ravenswood Community since 2007. We specilaize in Out of School Time Programming such as Before and After-​School Adventures (BASA), Holiday Camps (Winter, Spring Break and Summer) as well as academic and artictic enrichment courses. We are your one-​stop shop for all of your childcare needs and we are happy to serve you and your family!

History

Established in 2007.

This program was started as a way for parents to fill their childcare needs. Through a seed grant, a tuition based after-​school was started and later Ravenswood Elementary has the privelge to become a funded community school through Chicago Public Schools and the Community Schools initative. From our conception, it has been our mission to provide quality, affordable childcare to families.

Business Owner

Marcia Lane-​McGee (Miss Marcia to our students) has been with Youth Guidance since August of 2007 and started the after-​school program at Ravenswood School. Before her current role, she had the privelege of being Ms. Marcia to a pre-​school class in St. Charles, IL and a Certified Family Teacher for Mooseheart Child City and School.
