Horrible follow-​up experience.
My nail chipped only after a couple of days, and so I came in. Technician asked if i typed or wash the dishes a lot. I do neither, but still she protested that some activities can lead to chipping. LADY, I’VE HAD TONS OF NO-​CHIP BEFORE AND IT DOESNT CHIP AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS EVEN WITH VIGOROUS ACTIVITIES. Not to mention, the chip was on the side near my cuticle, not the ends. UGH –_​–
The owner offered to have it redone by the same nail technician at no cost. It came out clumpy and blamed my hands moving while inside the light system. I hated the way it looked (photo soon to be up), but thought maybe I was being OCD. Nope, my friends laughed at the disaster, rightfully so. I came back again, to complain, this time, they offered to redo it but I’ll have to pay. Forget it! I asked for them to take it off.
Never came back again. I heard that the owner does great brows, but until I try it out and indeed she does, then I’ll change my rating accordingly.
Horrible.

Shop is clean and neat. Maria did a great job on my Mani Pedi. This was my first visit… And I will be Back!!!~

Yolanda is the best. I’ve been going to her for eyebrow threading exclusively for the past couple of years. She’s quick, reasonably-​priced, and just a sweet lady. Back when I was going to different people, trying to find someone to go to for threading, she fixed a brow job that my hair stylist at the time screwed up.
She’s also trimmed my bangs on a couple of occasions and did a marvelous job with that as well. Even though I’ve moved out of the neighborhood, I still make the trek to see her. Although, with the location right next to the Brown Line station, it’s still pretty convenient. And online scheduling? Yes, please. It’s not a fancy salon experience, but I just want my brows looking good for a reasonable sum. Yolanda fits the bill completely.

I’ve passed this place many a time on my way to the Irving Park brown line and wondered… huh, in a sea of posh salon’s this place seemed a bit old fashioned, but I was intrigued none-​the-​less by their non-​pretentiousness.
The dim glow of their «spa pedicure» sign drew me in. Went to Unilocal,saw their amazing reviews, went to their website… saw an online appointment form. Soooooold. Mostly because I loathe those asian nail places that rush you in and out and yell at you and trying to even make a phone appointment is irritating and waiting in a sea of anxious women waiting for their weekly mani is tedious.
Long story short. Mary the manicurist is amazing. They only have one table and two pedi stations, so they are definitively not rushing you in and out because they are a full service salon. She takes her time, is meticulous with cuticles and nearly a week later my nails are practically still perfect… and I didn’t even get a no-​ship, AND it was only $ 15…the website said $ 20. Not a huge selection of polish, I’d probably bring my own next time.
There seemed to be a lot of regulars there getting multiple things done… cuts, colors, and nails, everyone seemed super happy and chatty with each other. One woman even came up to me and was like «I got my nails done 2 weeks ago and they are still perfect… seeee!»
A few weeks later got a pedicure, they were meticulous with my toes and my callousy runners feet. You’ll definitely be the only nail appointment if you go, so you get all the attention and none of the rush.
Definitely looking forward to my next visit, loved the chill, yet professional vibe and the service!

On Saturday I redeemed their Groupon for a haircut, and also got a manicure. Yolanda did a great job on my hair. She is very knowledgable and professional, and really helped me out by fixing a not-​so-​great haircut from elsewhere – now it will still look good while I grow it out. Nancy also did a great job on my manicure – I hadn’t had one in a long time and she fixed up my cuticles nicely without cutting me.
I also appreciate that Yeimi’s is affordable enough that I can go back without a Groupon (finally!) so I’m hoping to make this my regular place.

Pasquale is TOP NOTCH. I used to live in the area years ago and found him at a different salon. I followed him to Yeimi’s, but then moved too far South and decided to try someone new. After several failed attempts at other salons, and coloring my own hair — back to Pasquale.
He not only professionally evened out my mismatched colors, he gave me an expert cut as well as a great short cut for my 8 year old daughter who was transitioning from long hair — and nervous!
In the time I have been going to Pasquale — both in the past and now — he’s accommodated my every crazy color and cut request — by either doing it or explaining why it wouldnt work.
I have never left the salon dissatisfied and his prices are VERY competitive. He takes a lot of pride in his work and wont walk away if he isnt satisfied as well.

Yolanda is an expert threader! My brows never fail to look great after seeing her! She is super friendly and Yeimi’s location is very convenient right off the Irving Park Brown Line.

Not happy, and here’s why…
They squeezed me in for an eyebrow wax because the lady who threads didn’t have time. Very nice, there’s your one star.
The woman began the process by using hand sanitizer (great!) then proceeded to blow her nose (not great). SHE NEVER TOUCHED THE HAND SANITIZER AGAIN and immediately started the waxing. I knew I should have said something, but it all happened so fast. She was sniffling the whole time and I held my breath for as long as I could. Sure enough, now I am sick, and so beyond aggravated.
Never, ever again.

Yeimi’s isn’t a fancy salon, but Maria gets the job done when it comes to manis/​pedis. She’s a perfectionist and does a fantastic job. My no-​chip manis and pedis easily last me 2 — 3 weeks with no chips. Plus, they always have coupons on their website and if you check in on Unilocal,you receive a discount on your service.

Great place! My mom comes here all the time to get her hair colored and I’ve gotten a pedicure here a few times – best pedicure ever! It lasted the entire summer practically!

Pasquale is simply the best guy in Chicago for men’s haircuts — and I’ve been to a lot of them.
I moved back in the city in 2003 and went to a lot of places for a good haircut. I am particular about my hair and know in an instant if the man (or woman) behind the comb and scissors knows what they are doing.
Pasquale is a craftsman. Old School Italian perfectionism and pride in his work.
I found Pasquale in mid 2004 after going to many other hair stylists (expensive and inexpensive). The big places you see that charge $ 40-​$ 60 for a haircut don’t compare to Pasquale at all. The guy could run a clinic just on men’s haircuts alone.
Every once in a while I’ll have to go to someone else for a light touch up when out of town or when my schedule gets too busy. Every single time, Pasquale will say, «Where did you go? Because I know I didn’t do this.» and then he’ll point out a piece of my hair that is slightly off. He’s never been wrong and I’ll have to tell him and then he fixes it, perfectly.
Can’t say enough about him! A true professional.

Bought a BuyWithMe coupon for 4 eyebrow threadings… got the first one yesterday and my brows look AMAZING. This place is great, fast, friendly. I highly recommend.

Yolanda is a sweetheart and all her staff is extremely friendly. They recently remodeled the salon, props to her entrepreneurship. I discovered this gem thanks to a BuyWithMe or a DealFind deal, I forget… I went here often when I lived in Chicago, because Yolanda is really fantastic.
Her style is a tad different from indian threaders, if that makes any sense — the shape she gives my eyebrows is quite different from the shape I obtain if I go to a salon in Devon or owned by an indian woman. I don’t know if this is better or worse — I think it’s simply different.
In any case, Yolanda always takes her time and will take great care of your eyebrows. She has a knack at threading very gently — virtually no pain when I go to her to get my eyebrows threaded. Never forgets to trim either, which I love. A bit on the expensive side, but still worth the trek to Irving Park (ok I really shouldn’t complain, it was about a 20 min on the L from the Loop, and the salon is conveniently located diagonally across the brown line stop). I think they take walk-​ins but I’d recommend making an appointment.

I went in because of an awesome dealfind voucher. I made the appointment for cut/​color plus eyebrow and upper lip wax. The entire appointment took about 2 hours but it was worth it. Yolanda performed all the services for me. She’s quite professional and very knowledgeable about the products. I think out of all the people I’ve gone to for my eyebrows, Yolanda is the best. She also fixed my haircut. If you come here, ask for Yolanda — you will not be disappointed.

Overall, i’m happy with the way my eyebrows look after threading. And yes, she was very honest and showed me what was wrong w my eyebrows in the past and what I should do now. But, once I went to my car in natural light, I could see hair she missed both on my lip and on my eyebrow… Not Cool
For $ 24(for eyebrow and lip), I’m sticking with my regular spot. This will be okay if I’m in a bind but not for a regular spot.

Got a last minute appointment to get my eyebrows and lip threaded on a Saturday at lunch time.
Yolanda was great and very thorough. I’ll be back.

She seems like the type of person who takes pride in her job and WANTS everyone to be satisfied. Very Good vibe in here .I will be back

I saw Yolanda. I love how honest and straightforward she was… see, I messed up my eyebrows from going to a different place b4… so she told me there wasn’t much she could do at the moment… maybe just clean it up a bit?
she recommended to let my brows grow and came back so she could fix them…
so, yes! i will come back once this ugly brows grow and thanks yolanda!

I’m a simple guy and I like to get simple haircuts that I can grease up with wax into whatever spikey, haux-​hawk style that I’d like. I don’t like spending a lot for a haircut, and Yeimi’s was a fantastic find for just that.
I’m always happy with the results and for $ 15, who can go wrong?! For that price, I don’t even expect a wash, but low-​and-​behold, they provide that too! I have never had a problem getting in last minute and am always out the door in less than 30 minutes.
However, if you like the pampered, spa-​style salon, this might not be what you’re looking for.
All of that said, I definitely recommend this for those of us that like a straight-​forward, no frills, haircut.

Yolanda (sp?) does a great job threading, it is worth the $ 15 or whatever she charges. She is really friendly, usually the wait is only about 10 minutes, and my brows look awesome when she is done. She doesn’t rush and actually looks at your face to determine the brow shape as opposed to just diving in with the thread.
