Wrigleyville Piano Studio offers classical piano lessons from for beginners to advanced level. Either just starting a first piano lesson, or playing a full solo recital, you will find an encouraging and effective learning experience here.

Instructor, Hiroko Nagahata received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Michigan State University, and is a winner of Artists International audition in 2008 and played her Carnegie solo debut recital in 2009.

She is uniquely positioned as a pianist who studied in Japan and in the U.S., with foremost Japanese, Russian, and American concert pianists. She will instruct phrasing, postures, interpretation, etc for a natural, and beautiful music playing.

The lessons will include instructions for basic music theory for greater understanding of the piece.

Students will have an opportunity to participate a student recital once a year to share their learning.

Currently lessons are offered in Lakeview Lutheran Church near CTA Addison station.

Hiroko N.

Business Owner

Hiroko N. is an active and accomplished pianist with experience in solo performance, vocal accompaniment, and chamber music. She has performed in numerous music festivals. She was a Special Presentation Award winner of the Artists International Audition and made her New York solo recital debut at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in 2009.

Hiroko received a Doctor of Music Degree from Michigan State University, a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music Degree from Kobe College. She has also worked as a teaching assistant, instructor of music theory, and accompanist (instrumental, vocal and choral) at NYSMF: New York Summer Music Festival at SUNY, Oneonta. Besides teaching and solo performances, she currently works for OperaKids Program of Lyric Opera of Chicago.
