Sessions and memberships are all-​inclusive – with concierge services, premium wifi, digital displays, work tools and supplies, energizing snacks and beverages, and more – allowing you to focus on mission-​critical objectives.

Workspring was imagined by a group of workspace experience experts at Steelcase Inc. For 100 years, Steelcase has studied work behaviors and environments. We’ve taken those insights and created Workspring to address the needs of today’s worker and teams.

History

Established in 2008.

Workspring was conceived and developed over an 18-​month period within WorkSpace Futures, the Global Research function of Steelcase. Based on 30+ years of research into work, workers and workplaces, it responds specifically to the growing demand for flexible and technically advanced team spaces for an increasingly mobile workforce. Our goal is to offer the 5-​star experience for work, when results absolutely matter most.

Lisa D.

Manager

Lisa is a high-​energy leader with innovative experience within the hospitality industry. Prior to Workspring, she was involved in leading a series of successful hotel openings in downtown Chicago. Her role at Workspring involves ensuring that all of the many working parts are cohesive and fluid to deliver the best experience in our space.

Lisa’s goal for any meeting or coworking guests is for them to have a seamless experience at Workspring — «We do the work so you can do your best work ever.»

Workspring is a great place to host a meeting. The staff provides superior customer service. The space is beautiful, functional and a comfortable place to work. The food, drinks and snacks are yummy and plentiful. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Workspring continues to exceed already high expectations. We loved the recent redesign (featuring the reconfigured studio and innovation spaces). I’m not a big reviewer on Unilocal,but Workspring impressed me in so many ways, I feel compelled here to talk about it here.
First, Workspring a beautiful space. Immaculate. Comfortable, modern. Its furniture and technology play together to make it a fun, comfortable and easy place for work or meetings. It’s basically my dream office. Nothing is overlooked there.
Nothing in this place is second-​rate, including the people that work there. David, who I believe is marketing coordinator, greeted me, made me feel at home, gave me a tour of the place. He’s extremely friendly and professional.
If you’re looking for an inspiring, beautiful, and well-​run place for an off-​site meeting or a great co-​working spot, I highly-​suggest Workspring.

We were expecting 24 clients at 8:00am in the work spring spaces. Some eager beavers showed at 7:30am, only four, not all thirty. There was no problem, they let them in, gave them some breakfast, and informed me of the situation. At 8:00am 26 more people showed up, 6 more than expected. Once again, not a problem, Workspring begin moving and adding tables and making everyone as comfortable as possible. I worked with Ashley and she was awesome, professional unflappable and poised. The WiFi worked very well, no glitches at all. The price was average, but we definitely got out money’s worth. Our clients were impressed as well. Really great for multi-​day, offsite meetings. Easy to access, clean and comfortable spaces, good food, and all the resources – markers, stickies, projectors – you could possibly need. The value for the money is excellent. We will definitely be using Workspring again for future offsite meetings.

I was visiting Chicago this week and had been delayed an extra day in the city. Tired, stressed for a looming deadline and needing to connect to a teammate in another country… I needed a place that was private, safe and that had excellent wifi to run video.
I had encountered WorkSpring about a year ago for a client work session and the impression it had made on my team has stuck with me. When I got there… The concierge had managed to help me get oriented, feel safe, nourished and connected in less than 15 minutes flat.
I prepped for my call in a semi-​private lounge chair with screens and powered up, while sipping coffee (and watching the city below) then transitioned into a sound treated phone room that had a ledge perfect for my tablet so I could stand and make eye contact with my teammates.
Steelcase knows how to make a hospitable, welcoming space and employs staff that genuinely care. Leave it to them to create a meeting/​gathering space that is stimulating, inspiring and BONUS: changed me from cranky, tired traveler to a happy/​productive worker bee.

Used this cool spot for a work function about 6 months ago and it was perfect. Bright, well laid out, excellent food, very helpful staff. Stuff just worked. And their all inclusive pricing makes things easy. Shout out to Ashley in sales who was a real pro. Will definitely use them again.

I conducted a yearly face to face meeting with industry partners from the EMerge Alliance. We conferenced in the ‘not so face to face’ participants with via telephone and gotomeeting. The food kept up our energy. It was perfect for out of town participants that flew in to Ohare, took the train downtown, stayed at the Embassy Suites and joined us WorkSpring the next morning. A very positive experience.

I have the Mobility Access membership that allows you 5 full days or 10 half days in the space. I am allowed to use the open spaces which are full of light, clean, and have light music to keep me alert. There are refreshments and snacks open to us, complimentary Wifi and a hostess to help me and my colleagues with anything we may need.
If I need more privacy, I am allowed to book the private rooms that seat 3 people for up to two hours. At an additional cost, I could also book the project rooms and host more people.
Overall, this space is perfectly designed to increase productivity. From the beautiful furniture and layout, to the advanced technological capabilities of the space, I would definitely recommend this space to any individual or group looking to do some good work.

I discovered Workspring through a friend who works in the 30 W. Monroe building and invited me there for a meeting. Immediately upon entering the space I was blown away by the environment, layout and furniture. Workspring meeting spaces are incredibly well thought out from a user’s perspective. The open areas are great if you need to drop in to work a day here and a day there throughout the month. The training spaces are by far the most advanced from a technology standpoint of any I’ve experienced in the Chicago area. Everything needed, from sticky notes to white board markers that actually work are all there in each studio. The «highly hosted» environment really sets Workspring apart. I spilled my drink and someone was there in a heartbeat with paper towels to help me clean up. After the first time I visited the staff knew my name. I feel more productive every time I visit!
