I’m a limo driver and my car gets washed every day. I’ve gone to many different car washes and by far, Wizard of Karz is the BEST! No one can match their price ($ 5) and the job they do on the vehicle is beyond outstanding! They have monthly wash packages available and if I have a day where the customers from the night before have had a date with «Ralph», they make my car look and smell new again!
Wizard of Karz is worth the journey even if you don’t live in the neighborhood!

Remember when you were a kid and you would wash the car out front of your house? These guys do it even BETTER and it’s still by hand.
I stopped by here based on the reviews here and wasn’t disappointed. Everyone raves about the $ 5 hand wash, but for another $ 5, they do everything else. Hand wash, wax, tires, inside windows, and vacuum… including the trunk!
They do a good job on your car in very little time. Fun little place that had my business!!!

$ 5 for an interior and exterior car wash? All day? SOLD! They do a good job and for the most part are quick about it. Of the two times, i’ve been there, I feel it’s best to go during the day when it’s less crowded.
Easy location to find west of the Kennedy!

This place recently reopened under a new name. I had gone to its predecessor for years and was happy to see that my neighborhood had its car wash back. Oh well – what a disappointment. I’ve been there three times and each time they haven’t done a really good job.
When I pay for a hand wash, I don’t want to see dirt streaks or water all over the running boards of my SUV when they’re done. And I don’t want to pay for Armor All on my tires and not get it. Plus some of the people they have working there should be paying attention to their work instead of joking around and talking. This place needs some serious quality control exercised.
There are several washes along Elston Avenue and I will be going to one of their competitors (Pierre’s) until they get their act together, even though Pierre’s is a little more expensive and not quite as convenient.
All that being said, the guy who is usually running the cash register is hot as hell – it’s almost worth going here just to admire the view.

After finding my regular car wash place, I never thought I’d cheat on them. Enter: Wizard of Karz. In this very unpredictable Chicago weather, one does not want to spend $ 10 on a car wash, only to have it rain, hail or snow in the next hour and mess up the car job. So for a great deal of $ 5 dollars, (yep, I said it right– FIVE ALIVE, Cinco„ LIMA!) Wizard of Karz will hand wash your car as well as vacuum and wipe/​detail that puppy down.
I’ll still go to my tried and true spot because of their special attention to detailing, but for some very quick work at a wonderful price, come to W of K.

Outstanding car wash. They took a long time detailing my car and it is cleaner than when we purchased it new from the dealer. Absolutely fantastic. Be prepared to wait, while the guys to their thing… this is not a 10 minutes in and out place because they are so thorough. You cannot beat the price either — $ 4.99 (1.99 extra for larger vehicles) for their regular wash (which includes inside and out as well as undercarriage).
The only strange thing was while waiting, a weird looking guy came in, wearing the Wizard of Karz uniform, and started screaming at the guys detailing the cars… profanities and threatening to break car windows. All of the patrons were pretty concerned as this guy looked strung out and belligerent. We asked some of the guys cleaning cars who that was and were informed that this is the owner. Very strange!
The 5 stars is for the amazing hand car was, very low price and fantastic customer service from the guys actually washing the cars.

I’m sitting here with my second car this morning. I was so happy, I took my car home & brought back my husband’s. Great early bird pricing, and an amazing attention to detail. I watched as they decided not to use a particular cleanser on my rims, because I didn’t really need it and it would wear down the finish, but they chose to use it on my husband’s car because the break dust was bad. It is a very personal wash, not one size fits all. They even add in little extras free, like city sticker removal. Definitely recommended

Went to Wizard of Karz for the first time last week and they did an amazing job. The service was phenomenal, very friendly staff. They did an awesome job on my car. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good car wash. They have a great Early Bird Special as well.
